Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Properties panelIt seems my attributes are quite good, after all.

Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction after browsing his attribute panel.

Those two rings indeed added to his luck attribute.

A normal person’s luck is 0, while Lin Feng’s luck is 2. Although he didn’t know if the gap between the two was significant, Lin Feng was already very satisfied.

Currently, the Elevator still needed five hundred kilograms of iron, thirty gold coins, fifty kilograms of gold, and one hundred kilograms of copper and aluminum to upgrade to level nine.

The upgrade materials were manageable and not difficult to obtain, especially since Lin Feng could acquire some through trading.

As before, Lin Feng exchanged food and medicine for the necessary upgrade materials. However, he didn’t trade too much, as scarcity increases value. He had just traded recently, and a large-scale trade of medicine again might lead to depreciation.

So, it was necessary to control the trading volume.

“Beep! The host is about to enter the Wasteland World floor. There is a mutant named Tyrant on this floor. Please eliminate it, and you will receive a floor reward upon its elimination.”

“Beep, a random mission has been triggered, Monster Hunter: Please eliminate the Tyrant, reward Strength attribute +2.”

Soon, the Elevator’s broadcast sound also rang out.

“Ding-dong! Elevator descending, please hold on tight.”

A moment later, the Elevator stopped steadily. After equipping his chainmail and hk assault rifle, Lin Feng pressed the open door button.

Stepping out of the Elevator, he was immediately hit by a stench of blood mixed with feces.

Lin Feng briefly scanned with his flashlight. This must be the sewer, no wonder it smelled so bad.

Even the Little Velociraptor looked disgusted, covering its nose with one of its front claws.

“You go wait for me by the Elevator.”

Lin Feng rubbed the Little Velociraptor’s head. That Tyrant would probably be very powerful later, and even bringing the Little Velociraptor might not be of much use.

“Roar!”

The Little Velociraptor turned its head, refusing decisively, and then continued to follow Lin Feng forward to explore.

Suddenly, a white light appeared in the dark passage ahead. It was exceptionally dazzling in the pitch-black sewer. The owner of the white light seemed to have seen Lin Feng as well, flashing it a few times as if requesting a response.

Lin Feng naturally flashed his flashlight a few times in return.

Soon, the other party flashed a few more times.

Then, it rushed towards Lin Feng, getting closer and closer...

Because he couldn’t figure out what the other party was, Lin Feng cautiously readied his gun.

If what was running over was a glowing monster and he was unprepared, wouldn’t that be very awkward?

“Hello! Is anyone there?!”

Just then, a shout came from the direction of the white light.

“Human?”

Lin Feng felt a flicker of doubt, tightening his grip on the gun.

Whether it was a native of this world or another Seeker from the Elevator, Lin Feng couldn’t let his guard down.

Sometimes, the most dangerous threats often came from one’s own kind.

“Are you human?”

Lin Feng asked in return.

“I am human! I am human! What kind of hellhole is this?! Ugh!!”

Judging by this reaction, it was undoubtedly another Seeker from the Elevator.

However, could the other party have mistaken him for a native?

“Raise your hands immediately, let me confirm you are not a threat.”

After seeing the man who was shouting, Lin Feng immediately shone his flashlight on his face.

“I, I’ll raise my hands, I surrender! Don’t shoot! Don’t shoot!”

Seeing the long gun in Lin Feng’s hand, the man hurriedly threw his crossbow and dagger to the ground, yelling for his life as he did so.

After Lin Feng confirmed he posed no threat, he lowered his gun.

“Why are you here?”

“I, I, I don’t know either. I lost my memory. After I woke up, I found myself in this place.”

The man had no idea what world this was, so he casually fabricated a universal amnesia excuse.

Lin Feng nodded, outwardly believing the guy’s excuse, which was clearly meant to fool a ghost.

But he had other plans in mind.

This person had run all the way from that direction without being eaten by the Tyrant, which meant the Tyrant was not in that direction.

So the Tyrant could only be in the direction behind him.

Having this person act as bait to attract the Tyrant would be perfect.

Looking at his cowardly demeanor, if he forced him from behind with the gun, he would definitely obey.

“How about this, I’ll get you out first. You walk ahead, and I’ll protect you from behind.”

Lin Feng stepped forward, pulled the man up, and motioned for him to walk forward.

“Ah? Go, go forward?”

“That’s right, with me protecting you, what are you afraid of? Hurry up, it’s not suitable to stay here long.”

Lin Feng raised the gun in his hand, his tone carrying a hint of threat.

“Alright, alright.”

The man could only brace himself and walk forward. He was truly afraid that if he didn’t obey, he would be shot dead.

Fortunately, he had a flashlight, so he could see what was ahead, which made him feel a little better.

In this way, Lin Feng followed a few meters behind the man for more than ten minutes.

“Walk faster, the sewer is very dangerous, we need to leave quickly!”

Lin Feng said impatiently. This guy was walking like an old lady in her seventies or eighties.

Slowly, he had only covered a few hundred meters in over ten minutes.

At this rate, the floor time would be used up.

“B-brother, how much further is the exit?”

“Almost there, just walk faster. I’m behind you, and I’ll shoot immediately if anything happens.”

“Then, then Brother, aim well!”

The man said, on the verge of a mental breakdown. Suddenly, he regretted running over.

Who would have thought he’d be greeted with a gun pointed at his head?!

If he could do it again, he definitely wouldn’t run straight over!!

Another ten minutes passed, and the man suddenly saw a dark shadow flash ahead, instantly startling him.

“Ghost! A ghost!”

“Brother, shoot quickly, didn’t you see it?!”

“What ghost? Where?”

Lin Feng immediately asked, simultaneously retreating a few steps. He had a premonition that what the man had just seen was probably the Tyrant.

“It was right ahead, it flashed past, and now I don’t know where it is!”

The man said, retreating as he spoke.

Lin Feng, meanwhile, used his Eagle Eye skill to thoroughly scan the area, but found nothing.

“Brother, why, why are you so far from me?!”

The man looked back and saw that Lin Feng was at least ten meters away from him. This clearly wasn’t how someone protecting him would act.

“Less nonsense, keep walking forward!”

Lin Feng stopped pretending. The red laser beam directly aimed at the man’s head.

“Y-yes, you, don’t shoot!”

The man swallowed hard, then continued to walk forward in the dark.
