Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Back to Blue Star“What is a holiday?”

Just as Lin Feng was wondering, the Elevator’s broadcast immediately gave a reply.

“Ding dong! Holiday begins, Elevator ascends. Holiday duration: fifteen days.”

The Elevator began to move upwards rapidly. Lin Feng tightly gripped the handrail on the wall. This time, the Elevator’s speed was faster than ever before, and he had no idea what kind of trick it was playing.

A moment later, the Elevator stopped.

The Elevator door slowly opened.

A familiar white light curtain appeared before Lin Feng.

Strangely, this time the system did not give a corresponding prompt.

This left Lin Feng feeling a bit uncertain.

“Ding dong! Seekers, please step out of the Elevator and enjoy your holiday. All items obtained in the Elevator World cannot be taken out. Your Elevator time will be in a time-paused state. All items obtained in the original world cannot be brought into the Elevator.”

Original world?

What does that mean? Could it be that beyond this light curtain is the real world?

Lin Feng looked at Little Velociraptor. If the Elevator time was paused, it shouldn’t get hungry, which reassured him.

After stepping out of the light curtain, Lin Feng felt his body lighten, and he found himself in another Elevator.

However, this Elevator had no screen, and the floor buttons on the side were all clickable.

Lin Feng tried clicking the first floor, and the Elevator began to descend slowly.

Through the mirror embedded in the Elevator wall, Lin Feng discovered that his clothes had changed; he was now wearing casual attire.

He felt his pocket and found it was his phone.

“What the hell is going on?”

As Lin Feng pondered, the Elevator door opened.

Lin Feng then realized that this was a shopping mall.

However, most of the employees were middle-aged, with not many young people, perhaps because they were all engaged in better jobs.

At this moment, Lin Feng suddenly found the mall somewhat familiar. Wasn’t this the mall he used to frequent?

Even the placement of all the counters was exactly the same.

He touched the wound on his face; it still hurt a lot, so it wasn’t a dream.

A bold idea suddenly came to Lin Feng’s mind: could he have returned to Blue Star?

Actually, verifying this idea was very simple.

It was impossible for three billion people to suddenly disappear from his world without news.

Lin Feng took out his phone and immediately searched Baidu for the latest major news.

Sure enough, the top news was about the recent large-scale disappearance of the population.

The news was published a month ago.

It claimed that on that day, a very large fog appeared all over the world. After the fog dispersed, it was discovered that more than half of humanity had disappeared from the entire world.

National governments also quickly implemented corresponding emergency measures, etc., transforming from a labor surplus to a labor shortage.

To avoid the outbreak of war, major powers also signed non-aggression treaties...

“I actually returned to Blue Star!”

Lin Feng said excitedly.

Thanks to Xia Country’s massive population base, even with so many people vanishing into thin air, Xia Country’s society remained relatively stable.

Just as Lin Feng was about to close his phone, he suddenly caught sight of another piece of news.

“Lighthouse Country’s wealthy businessman, Fuld’s private yacht, was hijacked. The identity of the hijackers has not yet been confirmed, suspected to be pirates. There were no casualties among the tourists on the yacht. Fuld claims he will thoroughly investigate this matter.”

“This... that shouldn’t be...”

Lin Feng’s mouth twitched slightly.

This must be a coincidence, it must be a coincidence...

However, later, as Lin Feng was trying to convince himself that these were all coincidences, a text message came in.

“[Mike]”

“No, it can’t be...”

Lin Feng’s voice trembled slightly as he spoke.

“[Hey! Lin, how’s it going in Xia Country? The money from the last yacht robbery has been split, and your share will be deposited into your bank card soon;”

“Don’t worry, the method is legitimate. I initiated the transfer under the name of Old Cui’s international trading company. It should be deposited into your bank card in three batches within six months.”

Soon, Lin Feng received another text message, from the bank, stating that he had a transfer from overseas, a whopping sixty million RMB.

“It’s for real!”

Lin Feng almost spat out a mouthful of old blood. The next moment, the bank called, but it wasn’t to inquire about the origin of the transfer, but to ask Lin Feng if he needed to upgrade his bank membership level.

This transfer had been completely legalized, so no one would trace it back to Lin Feng.

As for the bank’s offer, Lin Feng naturally chose to upgrade. Anyway, there was no loss, and he wouldn’t be staying here for too long.

In fifteen days, he would have to return to the Elevator World.

At this moment, Lin Feng wanted to see if there were any other familiar events happening in the real world.

“Young man, could you please move? I need to mop the floor.”

Just as Lin Feng was standing still, looking at his phone, an elderly auntie spoke from behind him.

“Oh, oh, okay, sorry, auntie.”

Lin Feng quickly nodded, then moved aside.

Standing in the middle of a mall looking at his phone was indeed a bit silly.

Lin Feng quickly left the mall and then took a taxi to the apartment he rented.

He should not have been listed as a missing person yet; this could be seen from the bank’s reaction.

If he had been listed as a missing person and then suddenly reappeared, police would probably already be looking for him.

In the future, when someone upgrades the Elevator to level eight, they will also get a holiday. At that time, they can explain it to the government. He didn’t want to be arrested and interrogated continuously until the holiday ended.

After returning to his room, Qin An’s leftover instant noodles from that morning were still on the table.

After disdainfully throwing away the instant noodles, Lin Feng once again took out his phone to browse the news.

“Aeroflot Flight SU207 disappears over the Pacific Ocean. The location of the plane crash has not yet been found. There were a total of 375 passengers on board...”

“Will housing prices plummet after the drastic reduction in the world population?”

“Today, governments worldwide announced the start of childcare fund distribution...”

.............

Most of the miscellaneous news was written by self-media, and Lin Feng knew from the title that there was nothing worth reading, purely using titles to attract attention.

The only somewhat valuable news was the disappearance of the Aeroflot flight, but it had nothing to do with Lin Feng.

However, did it really have nothing to do with him?

........

On an unnamed small island in the Pacific Ocean, a human holding a fire axe and a lighter was desperately fighting off the savages who wanted to eat him.

PS: Returning to Blue Star is the biggest foreshadowing. You can guess what it is; I won’t say.
