Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Opening Lightning StrikeSpeaking of water, it seems I really don’t have any.

Lin Feng’s only food right now is this pack of sandwich chocolates, which can sustain him in a crucial moment.

Hopefully, the next floor will give him water.

Lin Feng then checked the trading system, where people were already trying to sell items, all through bartering to exchange for what they needed.

Currently, most traded items are food and water.

And the wood in Lin Feng’s hand is also in high demand, as it’s a necessary material for upgrading the Elevator.

However, Lin Feng did not sell it; he doesn’t have enough to upgrade the Elevator yet, and he doesn’t know when he’ll enter a place with abundant wood again.

”Good thing I ate a lot this morning.”

Lin Feng patted his stomach, feeling a bit fortunate; he had eaten three baskets of steamed buns and a bowl of tofu pudding this morning, otherwise, he wouldn’t have been late for his 8 AM class.

It seems his decision to eat a lot back then wasn’t wrong.

The food in his stomach should last him a day without issue.

The time displayed on the screen is 2 PM.

To conserve energy, Lin Feng lay down on the bed made of chairs.

”It’s so stuffy.”

Lin Feng took off his jacket, placed it under him, and lay down for a while. This outfit was the only item that came with him into this world; his phone, keys, and other items in his pockets didn’t make it in. Others must be the same, right?

After recovering his stamina, Lin Feng continued to organize the wood. The Elevator’s space isn’t much, so every bit saved counts. After stacking all the wood neatly, the space increased a bit.

”System?”

”Beep, Host, please speak.”

”Is your function just to predict information about each floor?”

”Beep, this system also has mission rewards. The Host’s current first mission is to upgrade the Elevator to Level 2. The reward is a fine steel crossbow and 20 crossbow bolts.”

Lin Feng nodded after hearing that; the system is quite powerful.

”Let’s see what others are doing.”

Lin Feng pulled a chair to the screen and clicked on the chat room.

The result was an opening shock.

[Uncles, I didn’t eat anything last night, and I’m so hungry now. Is anyone willing to trade some food with me? Anything is fine, I’ll trade my panties.]

[I’m coming! Don’t fight over it! I want to make tea!]

[??? Brother, you’re playing hardball!]

[Everyone knows food is very important now, so no one would be foolish enough to trade for that, right?]

Lin Feng was also very curious and clicked on the young lady’s avatar. She indeed had a trade listed: panties for any food.

Just when Lin Feng thought no one would trade for such a thing, the trade record disappeared instantly.

Lin Feng was completely petrified on the spot.

”Awesome.”

In the chat room.

[Brothers, who has water? I’ll trade food for it! I have extra food, but no water.]

[I’ll trade, set up the trade.]

[Holy crap, I started a fire!!]

[????]

[???]

[?????]

Lin Feng was also very confused. Not to mention how he started the fire, why would this person start a fire in the first place?!

It’s so stuffy in this Elevator, and he’s starting a fire. Won’t he really choke to death?

Sure enough, someone quickly raised a question.

[Buddy, this Elevator isn’t very well-ventilated to begin with, and you’re starting a fire. Are you afraid you won’t die fast enough?]

[What choice do I have?! I picked up two turtles on the floor, and I haven’t eaten all day. I’m starving to death.]

[I want to know how you started the fire. Did you find a lighter?]

[No, I made fire by rubbing sticks. I just picked up some wood and a small pack of paper. Never mind, I’m choking to death here. I need to quickly roast these two turtles and then put out the fire!]

..........

What a tough person!

Hope this brother gets to eat those two turtles.

”It’s already 7 PM. I should get some sleep first. I still need to explore the floor at 12 AM.”

With that, Lin Feng slept for a while on the chair.

.............

”Beep, the floor the Host is about to enter is the Forest Floor. There is a wooden treasure chest in the center of the floor, which will contain a bottle of clean drinking water, a 1L iron can, a gold coin, and five century-old pine trees. If you have a chainsaw, you can try to cut them down. Caution: There is a venomous snake in the treasure chest. If bitten, you will not survive for more than three seconds. If you have a weapon, you can try to kill it.”

The system’s voice woke Lin Feng up directly.

This floor is getting harder now, but it’s just one venomous snake. If Lin Feng were unarmed, he might be afraid.

And now that he knows the venomous snake’s location, Lin Feng is even more fearless.

[Ding dong! The Elevator is descending. Please hold on tight.]

Another sensation of weightlessness came, and this time, it took a full minute for the Elevator to slowly come to a stop.

Lin Feng decisively pressed the open door button, then walked in, holding his knife.

The only threat to him on this floor was that venomous snake, so Lin Feng walked directly to the wooden treasure chest in the center of the floor.

As he cautiously opened the wooden box, his right hand, gripping the machete, was ready to strike.

A white flash appeared, and the venomous snake, which had just jumped out to ambush Lin Feng, was cut into two sections.

Although cut into two, the venomous snake was not dead; both sections of its body were still desperately wriggling.

Only after Lin Feng split its head in two with a single strike was the snake completely neutralized.

After taking out the items from the wooden box, Lin Feng looked around.

He couldn’t even consider those five pine trees. With just the machete in his hand, he’d probably have to chop for an entire day.

”The sound of water?”

After walking for a bit, Lin Feng actually heard the sound of flowing water.

How was this floor made? Where was this water flowing from, and where was it going?

Lin Feng indeed saw the flowing water.

It was a small stream at the edge of this floor. Unfortunately, there were no fish in this stream.

Lin Feng took out the iron can, filled it with water, then returned to the treasure chest and carried the wooden box back to the Elevator.

This box was also made of wood, and it also had some iron components.

Bringing it back would be perfect for upgrading the Elevator.

After throwing all the items back into the Elevator, Lin Feng looked at the venomous snake he had cut into two sections and, after some thought, picked it up.

”Maybe someone will want it, you never know.”

Lin Feng shrugged, thinking, ’Who cares?’ He directly put it on the trading market. Maybe that tough guy who started a fire in the Elevator would buy it.

Lin Feng: [Does anyone need food? I just killed a snake. You clean it yourselves. I need iron. It’s already listed for trade.]

Lin Feng thought about it and set the price of this venomous snake at 5 kilograms of iron.

After all, this venomous snake wasn’t big, and if he set the price too high, no one could afford it right now.

[Snake? Raw? I don’t have fire. I’m starving to death. Will eating it raw be poisonous?!]

[Upstairs, eating it raw won’t be poisonous, as long as it’s prepared properly. It’s just possible to get parasites.]

[By the way, didn’t that big brother make fire by rubbing sticks? I’m envious. Can we trade for a fire seed? I’ll start a fire on the floor, so it won’t be as stuffy.]

[That makes sense! Big brother, will you sell a fire seed?!]

[Don’t talk about it. When I entered the floor just now, I encountered a zombie. Damn, I was scratched. I’m having some difficulty breathing now. I’m probably going to die. I’ve already put out my fire, so I don’t have a fire seed.]

[Holy crap! You can encounter zombies on this floor??]

[Big brother, since you’re about to die anyway, sell all your stuff cheaply. That would be doing a good deed.]

[Yeah, you won’t need it when you die anyway. We are all Seekers helping each other.]

.......

Soon, everyone below uniformly wanted that big brother to sell his things cheaply, completely disregarding his life or death.
