Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Find someone to make crossbow arrowsThe Elevator doors completely closed, and the deafening roars that Lin Feng had heard earlier vanished from his ears.

Lin Feng now only hoped that the dinosaur egg he had picked up would successfully hatch and recognize him as its master.

This way, he would have a powerful assistant when exploring the floors in the future.

After placing the dinosaur egg on the bed and wrapping it up, Lin Feng continued his daily exercise.

After exercising for three hours, Lin Feng ate his last can of beef and rehydrated before going to sleep.

He didn’t know if it was due to the food, but since Lin Feng arrived in this world, he hadn’t had a bowel movement, which made him wonder if something was wrong with his body.

Waking up from his sleep, Lin Feng groggily glanced at the screen.

It was exactly eleven o’clock.

The chat room was already lively; it was almost twelve, and everyone was eagerly anticipating what the next floor would be.

The iron and wood that Lin Feng had previously sold were finally bought by someone to upgrade the Elevator.

Adding the two gold coins he found in the Wedding Ghost floor, Lin Feng now had exactly 5 coins.

“Brothers, a Level 2 Elevator requires 5 gold coins to upgrade to Level 3! If you have gold coins, don’t trade them casually!”

At this moment, someone who had already upgraded to Level 2 foolishly reminded those who were still at Level 1.

With his words, no one would continue to trade gold coins, and at the same time, he himself could no longer obtain gold coins from Seekers with Level 1 Elevators.

Now, that guy’s private messages were probably exploding. Lin Feng was speechless; he had seen people trick others, but he had never seen someone trick others and themselves in the process. This was truly a blooming oddity.

Fortunately, he had already gathered his gold coins.

At the same time, Lin Feng also understood the importance of being ahead of others. Only by being ahead could he know more information. It was very possible that something others considered trash was an indispensable item for upgrading the Elevator.

At this moment, a message in the chat room caught Lin Feng’s attention.

“I have some bad news to share with everyone. While exploring the previous floor, I found an empty Elevator. There were still bloodstains on the Elevator floor, and its position was directly opposite my Elevator.”

“Upstairs, I understand what you mean. You’re trying to say someone committed murder and robbery, right?”

“Exactly. So I want to remind everyone that not everyone is willing to cooperate. You might be thinking of peaceful cooperation to overcome difficulties, while that person might be thinking about how to kill you and take your resources.”

“Hiss, hearing that, it’s quite chilling. Didn’t someone say earlier that he cooperated with another Seeker? It might have been a murder and robbery.”

“Heh heh, I’m a Taekwondo athlete from Korea and have won countless national awards. I hope those with ulterior motives don’t run into me. Oh, by the way, I’m currently looking for a beautiful woman to live with. If anyone is lucky enough to encounter me, you can consider it. After all, in this kind of survival environment, having a strong and handsome man protect you would be a blessing!”

Immediately after the Korean man posted his message, someone stood up to criticize him. Judging by the avatar, it seemed to be someone from his ’father country,’ the United States.

“Honestly, national awards from Korea are equivalent to nothing. Leaving aside everything else, have you heard of American Iaido?”

“It’s not that I look down on Taekwondo, I admit it can have some lethality, but no matter how awesome it is, can it be as awesome as the bow in my hand? I’ll directly target your crotch from ten paces away!”

“What the heck, upstairs, you already have a weapon? I’m still using a broken wooden stick!”

“Hehe, I’m just good at handicrafts. Earlier, I found a sinew on a floor, which happened to be perfect for a bowstring, so I just barely made a bow. I can use it to deal with dangers. Oh, by the way, just a heads-up, my hobby is archery.”

“Heh heh, just a mere bow and arrow. As long as I get close, you’re dead!”

Because of the Korean athlete, the chat room immediately erupted into arguments, with everyone showing off their abilities. Smart people, however, silently gathered information about other Seekers, as this was a public chat room where a lot of information about people could be learned.

And everyone’s avatar and name were their real ones, which was actually the main reason Lin Feng didn’t comment much in the chat room.

Lin Feng truly admired the person who made the self-made bow. If he were asked to make a usable bow, he could do it, but to make a highly accurate, long-range, powerful bow, he really couldn’t.

Lin Feng was now wondering if he should ask that person to make him some crossbow bolts.

If he could make bows and arrows from wood, crossbow bolts should also be fine, and he wouldn’t have to retrieve wooden crossbow bolts every time he shot them.

Moreover, wooden crossbow bolts could completely penetrate human flesh, as long as they weren’t wearing plate armor or leather armor.

Thinking of this, Lin Feng clicked on that person’s avatar.

Lin Feng: “Hello?”

Ye Hua: “Hello, can I help you?”

In another Elevator, a handsome young man looked at the large ’2’ on Lin Feng’s avatar and immediately understood why Lin Feng had come to him.

It must have been for the gold coins he mentioned in the chat room this morning, but now that Ye Hua knew the importance of gold coins, he naturally wouldn’t agree to sell them.

Ye Hua: “Sorry, the gold coins are not for sale.”

Lin Feng: “No, I didn’t come for gold coins. I want to ask you to help me make some crossbow bolts. Can you do it? The reward will be food.”

Ye Hua: “Crossbow bolts? I can, but I only have one knife, so the efficiency might be very low. It would be good to make a few arrows a day, and they would be wooden arrows. You’ll need to provide the raw materials.”

Lin Feng: “No problem. I’ll send you a sample. Make 10 wooden arrows for me to test first. If they work, I’ll send you the reward. You can tell me how much food you need then.”

Ye Hua: “No, you have to give me a deposit first.”

Lin Feng: “Heh heh, okay. Then just put up an item for food Exchange on the Exchange.”

Lin Feng readily agreed. He wasn’t short on food at the moment; the berry bush in his cowhide backpack had plenty of berries to eat. Besides berries, there was also a lot of meat in the cowhide backpack, he just didn’t know if it would spoil in the backpack.

“System, will food stored in the cowhide backpack spoil?”

“Beep! No, Host. Time is static for items in the cowhide backpack.”

“That’s good.”

Just as Lin Feng thought, time did not flow inside the cowhide backpack, which was similar to a space ring.
