Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Back to the forest floor againLin Feng: ”Alright, alright, I get it, you’re a big softie, aren’t you?”

Qin An: ”Hehe, alright, I’m going to continue handing out flyers. If we ever meet, you’ll definitely have to call me ’Dad.’”

Lin Feng: ”Get lost.”

Qin An: ”Wait! How are you on the 6th floor of the Elevator, you little rascal??”

Lin Feng: ”Call me ’Dad,’ and I’ll tell you how I did it.”

Qin An: ”Dad!!!!”

Lin Feng: ”......”

Lin Feng: ”Where’s your integrity, man?”

Qin An: ”Who was talking just now?”

Lin Feng couldn’t help but smile seeing Qin An like this. He then directly told Qin An the upgrade materials needed for the 5th and 6th floors of the Elevator, as well as what new features the Elevator would gain after upgrading.

As for how to upgrade, Lin Feng only typed four words: ’Killing and looting.’

Originally, Lin Feng wanted to offer Qin An some weapon support, but that guy stubbornly refused, insisting he had a gun. For such a boastful act, Lin Feng could only choose to believe him.

After looking away from the chat room, Lin Feng smiled. He didn’t have many good friends; Qin An was one, and perhaps the only one.

Reuniting with a good brother, it didn’t seem so bad after all.

In another Elevator, Qin An wiped his Glock pistol and smiled.

”Stupid dog Lin Feng, you probably don’t know my true identity, do you?”

”You must survive!”

...................

Lin Feng chuckled a few times watching Qin An aggressively spamming small advertisements in the chat room.

Hahaha, that guy is as flamboyant as ever.

He really hoped to meet him soon. Of course, Lin Feng hoped to meet Qin An on a peaceful floor; he didn’t want to encounter Qin An in a death game.

Lin Feng thought to himself, then ate something and started exercising.

His muscle definition was already very clear, and he had already developed an eight-pack. Now he only needed one more to achieve the ultimate nine-pack!

Because he had taken Body Strengthening Pills, the effect of each of his workouts was twice as good, which was why he achieved such great results in such a short time.

”Ding! Upgrade quest triggered. Please upgrade the Elevator to level 7. Reward: Host gains ’Wilderness Survival Expert’ skill.”

”Ding! The floor the Host is about to enter is the Cannibal Camp. There are 25 cannibals and one Cannibal Chieftain. There is a golden treasure chest in the Cannibal Camp. Opening it will yield: 5 Gold Coins, one Universal Antidote Pill, one Rhinoceros Horn Bow, and 20 arrows.”

”Ding! Annihilation quest triggered. Each cannibal killed rewards one Gold Coin.”

25 cannibals?

Lin Feng was not flustered at all and directly switched to the HK416 assault rifle he had obtained from the Zombie Dog floor.

No matter how many savages there were, one magazine would wipe them out.

If that wasn’t enough, he still had the under-barrel grenade launcher; he’d let them see some fireworks.

This floor offered a lot of Gold Coins. After this floor was completed, he should have enough Gold Coins to upgrade the Elevator to level 7.

At this moment, Lin Feng still needed: 80 kilograms of wood, 20 kilograms of iron, 30 Gold Coins, and 100 kilograms of copper to upgrade the Elevator to level 7.

The gold he obtained from robbing the bank last time had not yet been fully consumed. It was a pity that this gold could not be forged into Gold Coins.

Lin Feng remembered he once saw someone in the chat room say that these Gold Coins were not pure gold; they contained some other impurities.

Perhaps it was to prevent people from counterfeiting Gold Coins.

Soon, the Elevator’s announcement sounded, and Lin Feng re-checked his equipment.

”Ding dong! Elevator descending. Please hold on tight.”

Soon, the Elevator doors opened, and Lin Feng raised his gun and walked in.

What greeted him was a cluster of simple houses built with wood and thatch.

These should be the houses where the cannibal tribe lived.

But where were the cannibals?

Lin Feng looked at the closest thatched hut, and there was no trace of savages inside.

The other thatched huts were the same.

But the system would not lie to him. Just as Lin Feng felt puzzled, a few savages holding wooden clubs crawled out of a hidden underground cave entrance.

”Roar!”

Those dark-skinned savages roared and charged at Lin Feng after seeing him.

Lin Feng, who had been waiting for the savages for a long time, naturally wouldn’t hold back. He raised his gun and fired in one smooth motion.

A few bursts of fire killed all the savages that had crawled out.

Because the gun didn’t have a suppressor, even the savages outside the camp were attracted by the gunshots.

At the same time, more and more savages crawled out of the underground cave entrance.

On the other side, Wang Lei, who was controlling his game character, also heard the gunshots.

Since he discovered Lin Feng, this ”game easter egg,” last time, his live stream popularity had surged.

After all, The Forest was the number one virtual reality game on the global rankings in his world.

Although Wang Lei didn’t know how he triggered the easter egg, he was somewhat intelligent and managed to stabilize his popularity by constantly bluffing and delaying.

The game company also went with the flow and added Lin Feng’s model to the game, setting him as a rescue team member who came to rescue survivors. If you followed him, you would unlock an achievement.

It had to be said that this move by the game company was indeed very clever, and the game’s popularity surged again.

At the same time, the game company also rewarded Wang Lei with a deluxe version of the game pod.

Wang Lei was now live streaming while lying in the game pod. Relying on the popularity of the easter egg, Wang Lei constantly created content in the game, and coupled with his naturally humorous personality, his fans grew from tens of thousands to over a million.

”Brothers! Did you hear that? Gunshots again, it seems to be coming from the Savage Camp. Let’s go take a look. Could it be the rescue team again?”

Wang Lei said as he controlled his game character to run towards the Savage Camp.

”Lei Ge, if there’s an NPC, try to kill him, hahaha.”

”No problem, maybe killing the NPC can unlock a new achievement, like, ’Blocking the Path to Survival.’”

”It’s a shame you guys aren’t game designers! Streamer, he has a gun, you should just give up.”

”What’s wrong with having a gun? Outside seven steps, the gun is fast. Within seven steps, the knife is fast! Streamer, just go for it! And you can confiscate the gun for use.”

”You’re wrong. It’s ’outside seven steps, the gun is fast; within seven steps, the gun is both fast and accurate, no need to aim!’ Moreover, someone tried to kill a rescue team member not long ago, but their gun didn’t drop.”

”I really hope there could be a cultivation system, where you build up favorability with this NPC. Once the favorability is high, he’ll listen to you and do whatever you want.”

”Oh!? In that case, I hope there’s a female NPC.”

”What do you want to do?”

..................

The barrage was full of joy, and Wang Lei was also quite excited. He knew in his heart that the easter egg released by the game company was not the same as the one he encountered last time.
