Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

FirebombingAfter taking the cigar Lin Feng handed him, the Soldier thanked him, then didn’t forget to share it with the people around him, because ordinary Soldier like them weren’t issued cigars, and even tobacco leaves were very scarce.

Soon, resupply time arrived, and several logistics personnel pushing carts dropped off food and various weapons and ammunition supplies before leaving.

Lin Feng looked at the dim sky outside through the narrow firing port and felt an inexplicable sense of suffocation.

”Hey, Squad Leader, want to play Monopoly?”

Currently, the Allied Forces’ troops were resting and wouldn’t launch an attack, which was their only time to relax during the day.

And playing cards was their only form of entertainment.

Lin Feng had happened to play Monopoly before, so he quickly got the hang of it.

Leisure time was always short, and an hour and a half later, the Allied Forces’ troops launched another offensive.

The Soldier in Lin Feng’s squad immediately returned to their positions, and countless tongues of fire shot out from the bunker.

Ships of newly landed Allied Forces Soldier were instantly riddled with holes.

The heavy howitzers on the beachhead also began to bombard the Allied Forces’ amphibious tanks that had landed.

Because Lin Feng also had a mission assigned by the system, he also controlled a machine gun.

However, the distance was too far, and even with his proficiency in firearms, Lin Feng couldn’t hit every shot, and soon, the gun barrel overheated.

The loader assisting him quickly replaced the barrel to ensure continuous firepower.

Just as Lin Feng was suppressing the crowd with firepower, he suddenly felt a pain in his cheek, and when he touched it, he found it was a bit wet.

”Damn, I got hit even here?”

Lin Feng touched the wound on his face, feeling quite helpless; it was probably a graze from a stray bullet, but thankfully, it was better than being directly headshotted.

”You continue controlling the machine gun, I’ll deal with my wound.”

Lin Feng said, pointing at that Soldier.

...

After arriving at his rest room, Lin Feng looked at himself in the mirror.

Thankfully, although the wound was deep, it wasn’t particularly long, at least he wasn’t disfigured.

He took out sulfa powder from his medicine box, sprinkled it on the wound, and then simply bandaged it.

Even his bandaging technique was inherent in his wilderness survival skill.

After briefly treating the wound to prevent infection, Lin Feng returned to the firing port.

However, this time he didn’t choose to use the machine gun, but rather his personal weapon, the G43 semi-automatic rifle.

After several more hours of intense fighting, the Allied Forces’ attack was once again repelled.

However, the Allied Forces were not without results; after a long period of continuous bombing, their bombers finally destroyed two exposed bunkers.

This news also made the Third Reich Soldier, who had initially felt victory was assured, feel fear.

Two seemingly indestructible bunkers had been shattered.

At this moment, ships and planes were still bombarding the fortresses on Normandy.

The shells seemed to be falling like they were free.

However, this had nothing to do with Lin Feng, who was hiding in the bunker.

It was still relatively safe where he was, except for some shaking and ringing in his ears, there was nothing else wrong.

Just as the Soldier in the bunker were resting, bombers loaded with incendiary bombs braved the dense anti-aircraft network and dropped countless aerial bombs marked with red symbols onto the already marked bunker locations.

”Boom!”

More than a dozen large aerial bombs exploded above the bunker where Lin Feng was located, and the next moment, the bunker was engulfed in raging flames.

Although it could not directly harm the enemies in the bunker.

But over time, the bunker would become as hot as a steamer, completely unbearable for people.

Lin Feng, who was eating canned food in the bunker, also felt the temperature inside the bunker seemed to be rising rapidly.

”Squad Leader, our bunker was hit by two incendiary bombs, headquarters told us to hold out, but if this continues, our brothers will be steamed alive!”

”Damn it! What are you waiting for, hurry up and run out!”

Lin Feng threw down the can; no wonder the temperature was getting higher and higher, Lin Feng was already sweating profusely, and the shirt he was wearing underneath was already soaked.

”But Squad Leader! Headquarters told us to keep holding out!”

”Do you want to die?”

Lin Feng asked, looking at the somewhat stubborn Soldier.

The Soldier just shook his head.

”Then let’s go, whoever wants to die can stay here, we’re abandoning this bunker, we’re immediately moving to another location to guard!”

”But Squad Leader, if the military police find out, we’ll be severely punished.”

”Don’t worry, I have a way.”

Lin Feng patted that Soldier on the shoulder and said.

Then he quickly led the other Soldier out of the bunker; the entrance to the bunker was also covered by flames, but thankfully the fire wasn’t large.

The Third Reich was definitely going to lose this battle, and from then on, the Third Reich would suffer defeat after defeat, so the Soldier’s worries were no longer relevant, after all, whether these Soldier could survive until then was still unknown.

Lin Feng, leading this squad of Soldier out of the bunker, felt a bit dizzy looking at the chaotic scene outside for the first time, but he still quickly ran to the nearest bunker, which seemed relatively safe, at least it hadn’t been specially targeted by incendiary bombs.

He had already prepared his excuse.

Just as everyone was approaching the fortress, a mortar shell landed not far behind Lin Feng.

Two Soldier following him were instantly blown into several pieces, and Lin Feng felt a bit sick to his stomach looking at it.

However, he still quickly ran into the fortress.

”Hey! Are you guys the reinforcements?”

Lin Feng never expected that before he even spoke, the officer guarding this fortress had already found an excuse for him.

Lin Feng naturally agreed directly, and the other party didn’t suspect anything; after introducing themselves, Lin Feng had his Soldier replace the other party’s Soldier.

”I didn’t expect that I just requested reinforcements, and they arrived so quickly; I thought my rescue telegram would be directly thrown aside, after all, the Third Reich’s current situation is not ideal.”

The other person was also talkative, unlike traditional Third Reich military personnel.

Lin Feng felt that the person in front of him seemed a bit too slick.

Moreover, Lin Feng couldn’t clearly sense the aura of a Soldier from him.

”Conrad, where are you from?”

”Oh, I’m from Hamburg. I enlisted three years ago, and now I’ve finally worked my way up to the position of a grassroots officer, hahahaha.”

Conrad said without hesitation, and what Lin Feng didn’t notice was that Conrad’s back was already covered in sweat.

”I see, I’m similar to you, but I enlisted from a small village. You probably haven’t heard the name of that village, but it’s very beautiful. Oh, and I also have a fiancée, look.”
