Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Another World”I remember I started in single-player mode, so why is there gunshots??”

In another world, a small streamer sitting in front of his computer said in confusion.

”Streamer, could this be an easter egg from the developers?”

”Unlikely, the game ’Forest’ was just released, and it’s full of bugs.”

”So, the gunshots just now could also be a bug.”

”Streamer, go check it out!”

”From the sound, it should be near the spawn point. Streamer, go check it out.”

.............

Seeing the barrage of comments in his live stream urging him to go to where the gunshots came from, Wang Lei had no choice but to agree. After all, he was quite curious himself.

He wanted to see if it was a game easter egg or a bug.

Bang!

Another gunshot rang out, and this time the comments section went wild with speculation. Many guessed it was an easter egg hidden by the game developers, while others suggested it was a rescue team searching for a crashed plane, and that the game would be completed if they went there.

........

”Damn it, aren’t these savages afraid?”

Lin Feng looked at the approaching savages, feeling a bit speechless. He remembered that in the game’s settings, savages were afraid of fire.

Something that’s even afraid of fire isn’t afraid of guns.

At this moment, there were still two savages. One’s lower body had been blown off. Although it was still alive, it probably wouldn’t last much longer.

Lin Feng didn’t hold back with the remaining two savages. After giving each a shotgun blast, the system’s prompt followed.

”Congratulations, Host, for eliminating all savages on this floor. Reward: 5 gold coins.”

.........

”Brothers, the spawn point is just ahead. There were two more gunshots just now, so we can confirm the gunshots are coming from this direction.”

Wang Lei said excitedly while controlling his game character. If he really discovered some shortcut to completion, his popularity should increase, especially since ’Forest’ is currently the most popular game in the world.

If Wang Lei didn’t have limited funds, he would definitely buy a game pod to experience the virtual reality version of ’Forest’.

At this moment, Lin Feng was cautiously lying in the grass, and about ten meters in front of him, two goats had appeared at some point.

”Hehehe, I finally found them.”

Lin Feng took out his pistol and aimed.

The Velociraptor’s appetite would only grow, so he needed to be prepared.

The shotgun was too slow. After the gunshot, the other goat would definitely run away, and then, if the distance was too far, the shotgun wouldn’t reach, and switching to a pistol would be too late.

Of course, this was only because Lin Feng was a noob.

He didn’t want to be overconfident and lose a goat.

Bang!

The first shot, because Lin Feng had aimed for a long time, accurately hit the goat’s head.

The goat fell to the ground instantly.

After the gunshot, the other goat, seeing its companion bleeding and fallen, indeed ran away without looking back.

Lin Feng then fired several shots at the fleeing goat.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

After five shots, only one hit the goat’s hind leg, and the distance was less than 20 meters, which showed that Lin Feng’s marksmanship was indeed mediocre.

Fortunately, after the goat’s hind leg was injured, it couldn’t exert any force.

Just as Lin Feng was happily preparing to deliver the final blow to that goat, a wooden spear flew over and directly hit the goat’s throat.

What the f-?

Savage?

Lin Feng quickly raised his pistol and aimed at the bush from which the wooden spear had flown.

”Damn it, brothers, I told you not to expose yourselves yet, didn’t I? Now I’m being aimed at with a gun. If I go out, won’t I be riddled with holes???”

”Streamer, what are you afraid of? You can revive anyway. At worst, you can just come back and pick up your equipment.”

”Yeah, yeah, Streamer, go out quickly, don’t hold any weapons. This person looks like someone who also survived the plane crash. Could he be a friendly NPC?”

......

Wang Lei looked at the comments and decisively controlled his character to walk out of the grass.

It’s a pity he was playing on PC. If he were playing the game pod version, he could talk and do many more actions. All these functions were removed in the PC version.

At this moment, Lin Feng was shocked looking at the human who walked out.

This appearance, this familiar fire axe, this familiar lighter!

Holy cow, isn’t this the character from the game??

So, could he actually be in a virtual world now?

But why did everything feel so real?

Wang Lei saw that this ”NPC” had no ill will towards him, so he moved the goat he had killed with the spear and threw it in front of Lin Feng, hoping to trigger some dialogue or something.

Lin Feng looked at the goat and then at Wang Lei.

”Hello?”

Seeing that Lin Feng could actually speak, the viewers in Wang Lei’s live stream became excited.

”It’s an easter egg after all! Streamer, quickly communicate with him, maybe you can discover another way to complete the game.”

The entire comment section was urging Wang Lei to continue communicating, while he looked confused. How could he communicate if he couldn’t even speak? And there was no dialogue box option popping up either. Could the developers have forgotten?

”Can you speak?”

Lin Feng waved his hand. He could now basically confirm that the person in front of him was a character controlled by a player.

How could a normal person’s gaze be so dull?

And his movements were a bit stiff.

It seemed that the Survival World was far from as simple as he had imagined.

Lin Feng turned his head to look at the Elevator’s closing time. He didn’t have time to communicate with this guy now. He still needed to quickly pack up the goat, then cut some wood and gather some iron to take back.

Lin Feng walked to a tree, took out his chainsaw, and directly cut down a tree, then sawed it into several sections.

After filling his cowhide backpack, Lin Feng finally prepared to leave.

”We’ll meet again if fate allows.”

With that, Lin Feng pulled the only unopened suitcase and returned to the Elevator.

Seeing Lin Feng disappear on the spot, Wang Lei was stunned, and the live stream went crazy, discussing whether Lin Feng was an easter egg added by the developers. At the same time, Wang Lei quickly published the game video.

..................

Back in the Elevator, Lin Feng directly cut open the lock on the suitcase, then rummaged through the contents.

There were a few shirts and jackets, all men’s clothing, which fit Lin Feng perfectly. He finally had clothes to change into. Besides these, there were three bottles of medicine: one bottle of anti-inflammatory drugs, one bottle of heart-saving pills, and one bottle of insect repellent spray.

Other than these, there was nothing else useful, not even anything to eat. However, Lin Feng was already very satisfied, and at the same time, he learned more secrets about the Survival World.
