After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 350: Chapter 351: One Hour

Heavy rain poured down.

The searchlight on the helicopter couldn’t penetrate the rain and fog, leaving visibility extremely poor.

”Can we go any lower?”

Leng Zimo watched the situation below with close attention. With such poor visibility, and a complete power outage in the nearby area leaving no lights, he couldn’t determine whether this was the mountain village where Luo Xiaoqian had stayed.

”We can’t go any lower, the pass below has strong crosswinds that are too powerful. If we go lower, the helicopter could easily lose control!” The pilot carefully controlled the aircraft and glanced at the display screen in front of him, ”According to the location you mentioned earlier, we should be nearby. I’ll see if I can find a place to land!”

”Okay!” Leng Zimo grabbed the raincoat on the seat next to him, swiftly put it on, and slung the backpack containing first aid and emergency supplies onto his back.

Leng Zirui had other important tasks to command, and it was he who had arranged this helicopter to specially bring Leng Zimo to search for Luo Xiaoqian.

The pilot tried several times to land, but couldn’t. The plateau region’s temperature created strong convection winds, and this area was precisely in the path of the wind.

”We can’t land; it seems we have to return to the urban area first!”

”Let me down!” said Leng Zimo.

”What?” The pilot’s voice was filled with surprise.

”I said, let me down. I’ll go find her myself,” Leng Zimo repeated.

”That’s too dangerous. This is an area prone to mudslides, and nobody knows the conditions below. The major general ordered me to ensure your safety at all costs!”

The pilot was unwilling to comply; before boarding the aircraft, Leng Zirui gave strict orders to guarantee Leng Zimo’s safety no matter what.

Leng Zimo walked to his side, his gaze deep as he looked into the pilot’s face, ”Don’t forget who you are, your duty is to protect the safety of the people. There might be children and women needing rescue below; can you really be so heartless?”

”But...” The pilot looked hesitant.

”One hour!” Leng Zimo held up a finger, ”If I don’t find any clues within one hour, I’ll immediately come back to the helicopter!”

”Mr. Leng!” The pilot’s tone became serious, ”You have to understand, visibility in this area is very poor, anything could happen.”

”That’s exactly why I have to go down,” Leng Zimo raised his hand to remove his headset, placed the hood of his raincoat on top of his head, ”The person I’m looking for is extremely important to me.”

The pilot pursed his lips, ”Is it worth risking your life for?”

Leng Zimo took a breath and nodded slightly, ”It is.”

The pilot hesitated for a few seconds, then bent down to take out a sophisticated little box and handed it to him, ”This is a GPS tracker, in one hour, I’ll do my utmost to find you!”

Tucking it into his pocket, Leng Zimo thanked him earnestly, ”Thank you.”

”The wind and rain outside are strong; you need to stay alert to the conditions below...”

The pilot quickly went over various precautions Leng Zimo should take upon landing, and following his directions, Leng Zimo attached the parachute rope around himself while the pilot pressed the button to open the cabin door.

The wind and rain hit him in the face, the cold raindrops striking his face directly.

Grasping the rope with one hand, Leng Zimo gestured an okay sign to the pilot with the other hand and then turned and leaped from the cabin.

The pilot, striving to maintain the helicopter’s stability in the wind and rain, slowly lowered Leng Zimo to the ground.
