After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 305: Chapter 306: Some Destinies Can’t Be Avoided [3]

Jiao Yang pushed up his sunglasses and didn’t follow.

”Did he harass you?” Yu Tong glanced at the distant figure of Jiao Yang and asked in confusion.

No entourage, no suit, just a simple T-shirt and jeans, a backpack, and alone.

Today, Jiao Yang’s attire didn’t resemble that of a president of a multinational company’s Asia Pacific Region at all. Plus, with sunglasses and a hat, Yu Tong didn’t even recognize him and just treated him as an ordinary passenger.

”No, let’s go.” Seeing that Jiao Yang didn’t follow, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t bother saying more and simply pulled Yu Tong towards the boarding gate.

Once on the plane, Luo Xiaoqian was sent directly to first class by Yu Tong, while she and the other staff had economy class tickets.

”Isn’t this a bit too much?”

Luo Xiaoqian looked hesitant, not believing she deserved such special treatment.

”The work starts right after we get off the plane. This arrangement is for you to get better rest, and it’s completely from a work perspective.” Yu Tong smiled and waved toward the first-class entrance, ”Go on, have a good rest. I will come to get you when we’re about to land!”

Hearing this, Luo Xiaoqian had no more to say and could only carry her small bag into the first class.

Compared to economy, first class was more comfortable and quieter, indeed suitable for a good rest.

As soon as she entered, a flight attendant came up to greet her, guided her to her seat, settled her luggage, and after she sat down, Luo Xiaoqian immediately took out the work schedule and studied it intently.

After the flight, there was a signing event, followed by an interview.

The signing wasn’t an issue, but the interview made Luo Xiaoqian slightly frown.

It felt like the journalists would be quite challenging, and they often liked to misinterpret statements. Could she handle it?

The phone rang in her bag.

Luo Xiaoqian took out her phone and saw the words ”Big Fool,” then immediately answered it.

Leng Zimo’s voice sounded immediately.

”I was just in a meeting.”

”Mm, I figured. I’m on the plane now, and it’ll probably be a week before I can come back.”

”Remember to rest well. When I have time, I’ll call you. If you have any problems, you can always reach out to me...”

Leng Zimo was naturally familiar with the work of artists. Although he couldn’t bear it, he had no way to stop her.

The path she had chosen couldn’t be walked by anyone else for her. All he could do was provide her with protection and guidance as much as possible.

”Please switch off your mobile phones and laptops’ Wi-Fi as the plane is about to take off...” came the flight attendant’s reminder.

”The plane’s about to take off; you go ahead with your work, and we can talk when we have time.” Luo Xiaoqian could only say goodbye to him.

”Okay.”

Leng Zimo didn’t drag on and ended the call cleanly.

With a smile, Luo Xiaoqian stuffed the phone back into her backpack and picked up the work schedule again.

”So, were you just reporting to President Leng?”

The familiar voice sounded again next to her.

Luo Xiaoqian frowned and turned to look at Jiao Yang, who was sitting in the seat beside her, ”You...”

She had been preoccupied with the call and hadn’t noticed that the person who should have been sitting beside her was a middle-aged woman. It was Jiao Yang who had deliberately swapped seats with the woman to sit next to her.

Jiao Yang waved his boarding pass, ”Luo Xiaoqian, some connections just can’t be avoided!”
