After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 309: Chapter 310: Far Apart, Dining Together [7]

Knowing that he had sent it during her book signing, Luo Xiaoqian felt a warmth in her heart and immediately sent a text message back.

After sending the text message, she also replied to Jiao Yang with another message.

”The interview went well, thanks for your advice.”

Back at the hotel, she had dinner with the staff, and while eating, Yu Tong briefed Luo Xiaoqian on the next steps of her work schedule.

After dinner, Yu Tong and Luo Xiaoqian hurried to the Shanghai Radio Station to participate in a live broadcast on Shanghai Music Station’s ”Music Kaleidoscope,” while other personnel drove to Suzhou City to prepare for tomorrow’s events.

Just as they arrived outside the studio, Leng Zimo called.

”I’m about to take part in a live broadcast at the music station; everything is going smoothly, so don’t worry,” Luo Xiaoqian said as she walked into the corridor, ”Have you had dinner yet?”

On the other end of the phone, Leng Zimo stepped into the elevator.

”Just finished a meeting.”

”Xiao Qian, are you ready to start?” Yu Tong’s voice called from a distance.

”I have to work now, remember to eat properly and don’t go to bed too late,” Luo Xiaoqian hastily instructed him before hanging up and entering the studio.

After hanging up, Leng Zimo made his way to the parking lot, got in his car, and instead of leaving, he turned on the radio, found the Shanghai Music Station frequency, and sure enough, he heard Luo Xiaoqian’s familiar voice coming through the speakers.

”I’m Luo Xiaoqian, and I’m delighted to be here to share music I love with everyone. The first song I recommend today is ’Brave’ by Leng Zimo...”

From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., for a full two hours, Leng Zimo listened to the entire program from start to finish, deepening his understanding of Luo Xiaoqian through the music she introduced.

It wasn’t until the broadcast entered the commercial break that Leng Zimo started his car and slowly drove out of the parking lot.

While he was still on the road, Luo Xiaoqian’s call came through again.

”It was too rushed earlier, I didn’t even get to say goodbye. Zimo, don’t mind it,” her tone was full of apology.

”Have you returned to the hotel?” Leng Zimo asked while driving.

If others were around, she certainly wouldn’t call him by his name.

”Yes, I just entered my room.” Throwing her tired self onto the bed, Luo Xiaoqian looked at the time flickering on her phone’s screen, cupping her hands over the microphone on her headset, ”What are you doing?”

”Driving.”

”Have you had dinner yet?”

”Not yet.”

”Why? It’s been two hours; you’re not still working, are you? Your stomach isn’t good, you need to eat on time, and you can’t just make do,” she turned over, rubbing her slightly flattened stomach, ”I’ve had dinner and I’m a little hungry now!”

”Then go eat, no, just order takeout. It’s so late, don’t go out, it’s not safe,” Leng Zimo frowned slightly, ”Hang up and order takeout.”

”Aren’t you too haven’t eaten yet?” Luo Xiaoqian suddenly had a bright idea, ”How about we have dinner together?”

Eating together, when they’re so far apart, how would that work?

Leng Zimo was puzzled.

”I’ll order takeout, and you find a restaurant, then, let’s eat together, okay?” she asked with a smile.

”Okay!” Leng Zimo agreed with a smile.

So, maintaining the call, Luo Xiaoqian used the hotel phone to order takeout, and Leng Zimo parked and walked into a nearby restaurant.

The two of them, just like a couple eating together, discussed what to eat and then placed their orders.
