After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 332: Chapter 333: Scandal

Leng Zimo had been ready to toss the smartphone into the trash can when, hearing her words, he tightened his grip once more, ”Let’s do this, keep it with me for now, and tomorrow I’ll have someone take it to be fixed. It’s just water damage; it should be repairable.”

Caught off guard by the complexity of the situation, Luo Xiaoqian’s countenance brightened, ”Can it really be fixed?”

”I guarantee it!” Leng Zimo pulled a handkerchief from his pocket and wiped the water stains off her hands, ”Didn’t you say you were going to make ginger sugar water for me?”

”Right, I’m going now. You head to the study first; I’ll be right there!” Luo Xiaoqian snapped back to her senses and dashed downstairs again.

Entering the study with the water-damaged phone, Leng Zimo carefully closed the door and immediately redialed Zhuo Yannan’s number.

”What exactly is going on!”

The suppressed rage in his voice was unmistakable.

”I’m not exactly sure about the specifics either. It seems that someone first posted on Tianya, and because it involves you and Luo Xiaoqian, the reposting has been multiplying rapidly. I’ve sent people to investigate, but we haven’t found any clues yet.” Zhuo Yannan’s voice on the phone was nervous.

”Send the link to my email!”

After issuing a command, Leng Zimo briskly ended the call and turned on his computer.

Shortly after, a new email notification popped up in his inbox.

Leng Zimo clicked on the link, and immediately several photos appeared before his eyes.

In the pictures, Luo Xiaoqian was half-dressed with loose clothing, and if it slipped any further down, she would have been exposed, while a man with his back to the camera held her, his palm resting on her chest through the fabric.

The pictures that followed were similar to this one.

Since Luo Xiaoqian’s face was facing the camera, anyone could tell it was her.

The man with his back to the camera was wearing a light-colored suit, tall in stature. Although it was only a back view, Leng Zimo recognized at a glance that it was himself.

Clearly, this was taken secretly from outside the door when he had pulled Luo Xiaoqian into the utility room at the celebration party.

Hurriedly scrolling down the page, Leng Zimo’s fingers clenched tightly around the mouse as he looked at comments like ”The innocent princess turns out to have climbed her way up by stripping” and ”Can’t forget to hook up with guys even at a celebration party” underneath the photos.

As the bones in his hand cracked, the sound of the mouse shell snapping under the pressure could be heard.

”Damn it!”

He cursed under his breath and dialed another number.

Over the phone, Leng Zirui’s voice came through with a hint of amusement, ”Pretty explosive, huh? Even daring enough for a utility room romp...”

Leng Zimo was in no mood for his brother’s jokes. Since Zirui was already aware, he cut straight to the point.

”You have half an hour to find out who posted it and block the main threads!”

”At this time, blocking the main threads might not be very effective. Actually, what’s the big deal about a scandal like this? Why don’t you just come out and tell everyone you’re in a relationship? Being intimate with your own boyfriend, what’s so wrong with that!”

”Quit the nonsense, you now have twenty-nine minutes left!”

Leng Zimo angrily cut him off.

”OK, OK! I’ll get back to you within twenty minutes!”

With that, Leng Zirui hung up.

As Leng Zimo’s gaze fell back onto the screen, scanning through those one-sided attack comments clearly posted by paid internet trolls, he slammed the already broken mouse down on the desk with force.

Behind the door, Luo Xiaoqian carefully pushed it open a crack, watching the furious Leng Zimo behind the desk, ”You didn’t hear me knocking just now... Can I come in?”

Shutting down the webpage he had open, Leng Zimo took a deep breath, adjusted his emotions, and said, ”Come in.”

...

...

Just got back, and was immediately thrust into New Year’s mode by the Empress Dowager herself, tasked with eating, chatting, shopping, and also being the driver...

All sorts of gatherings and parties, all sorts of drunken shenanigans...

In summary...

Updates during the Spring Festival period will be unstable. I’ll write as much as I can; the timing is still not fixed. Please be understanding!
