After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 351: Chapter 352: Should Not Be Let Down

Ganzi County People’s Hospital, outside the emergency room.

”Can’t get in touch?” Yu Tong frowned tightly, her voice rising unconsciously, ”What do you mean you can’t get in touch?”

”When President Leng called just now, he said he was rushing to the northern suburbs. Leng Zirui is going to Sichuan for a rescue mission. He didn’t hear from you all and went to look for you with Zirui. He asked me for the exact location of that village and primary school!” Zhuo Yannan’s tone was also helpless, ”I tried calling his phone just now, but it’s been turned off, and it’s been over three hours now...”

Yu Tong glanced sideways at Luo Xiaoqian, who was nervously staring at the operating room, unplugged her phone charger, walked to the corner, and lowered her voice, ”Then... should I tell Xiao Qian?”

”This...” Zhuo Yannan hesitated on the phone as well.

Previously, Leng Zimo made it very clear not to tell Luo Xiaoqian about the scandal.

However, the incident with the scandal had already come to an end.

After the scandal was clarified, Zhuo Yannan and the others could clearly see that the relationship between Leng Zimo and Luo Xiaoqian was extraordinary.

With such a significant matter, if they continued to keep it from her and something really happened, could they bear the responsibility?

”I think...” Zhuo Yannan sighed, his tone firming up, ”we should tell Xiao Qian. If President Leng wants to blame anyone, just say it was my decision, and I’ll take responsibility!”

A man, driven by concern for a woman’s safety, travels thousands of miles to come to her aid—such feelings should not be let down!

”Okay!” Yu Tong looked in the distance at Luo Xiaoqian, who had already started to approach Xiao Mei being wheeled out of the operating room, ”I’ll tell her right now!”

”Doctor, how is it?” Luo Xiaoqian rushed forward, grabbing hold of the gurney, and asked anxiously.

”The surgery went very smoothly. She’ll wake up later once her fever subsides!” the doctor said with a comforting smile.

Only then did Luo Xiaoqian breathe a sigh of relief. As she followed them to the hospital room, Yu Tong came up to her, holding her arm, ”Xiao Qian, I have something to tell you.”

”Doctor Song, please go ahead!” Luo Xiaoqian stopped, looking puzzled at Yu Tong, ”What’s the matter?”

Yu Tong stuck out her tongue, licking her somewhat dry lips, ”President Leng... he’s come to find you!”

”He’s here to find me?” Luo Xiaoqian was taken aback, then quickly pulled herself together, her hands already nervously grabbing onto Yu Tong’s arms, ”What do you mean by that, where is he now?”

”He couldn’t get in touch with us, so he rushed over from Beijing. By this time, he has probably already headed to the primary school where we delivered the books.”

”What!” Luo Xiaoqian’s face turned pale, and she let go of her, turned, and dashed toward the exit. After two steps, she suddenly came back, snatched Yu Tong’s phone, ”the phone, I need to call him...”

She hurriedly dialed the number, but, shaking, she dialed it wrong.

”We can’t get through to his phone, we can’t reach him...” Yu Tong said softly.

Luo Xiaoqian’s fingers trembled, and the phone slipped from her hand and fell to the ground with a dull sound.

Frozen for a second, she turned around and dashed for the exit once again.

”Xiao Qian!” Yu Tong picked up the phone from the ground and hurried after her.

Originally following the crowd to the hospital room, Jiao Yang heard the commotion behind him and turned around, confused. Seeing Luo Xiaoqian charging toward him like a madwoman, he caught her arm, ”What’s wrong?”

”Let me go!” Luo Xiaoqian shook off his hand and ran to the stairs.

”What on earth is going on?” Jiao Yang stopped Yu Tong, who was catching up.
