After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 314: Chapter 315: Princess and the Princess Legion [5]

Jiao Yang did not lie: he truly had come to Suzhou just for a casual visit. It was only because of the rain that he specially chose to visit Canglang Pavilion, a place apt for enjoying the rainy scene. He never expected to bump into her again.

...

...

As dusk fell and the rain stopped, Luo Xiaoqian continued with her work. Since she had changed out of her wet clothes in time, she did not catch a cold, and the rain did not affect her following work in the slightest.

The next few days of work went very smoothly. The widespread promotion, coupled with a strong production team and investment, ensured ”Dropping Lip” lived up to expectations. As soon as it hit the charts, it rapidly climbed to the top, with numbers for both online streaming and paid downloads growing exponentially.

The CD’s design was very ingenious, and the moving love story that it ostensibly came from led many young men and women to buy the CD as a gift.

News of sold-out stock came one after another from various audio-visual stores, necessitating a second production and distribution run to meet increased demand.

”Dropping Lip” was a hit, the single ”Setting Out” was a hit, and Luo Xiaoqian herself became thoroughly popular.

Her large posters could be seen everywhere: in subway stations, train stations, airports...

Yu Tong’s phone was nearly exploding from various kinds of invitations, and the rate for commercial performances skyrocketed from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands, just like a rocket. Even the key she wore around her neck became a trend, with similar imitation necklaces proliferating on Taobao, selling out just as rapidly, and spawning various key-themed bracelets, anklets, and even key-themed waist chains.

Walk down the street, and out of every ten young girls you see, six would be wearing a similar key necklace.

For the mainland music scene, which had seldom seen the emergence of quality idols, Luo Xiaoqian was like a dark horse bolting from nowhere, creating a legend with just one single.

Of all this, Luo Xiaoqian herself was oblivious.

When she finished her week-long work and returned to Beijing, she saw the vast, sea-like crowd welcoming her outside the airport and curiously asked Yu Tong if there was some international celebrity arriving in the Capital that day.

”Xiao Qian!” Yu Tong raised her palm and pointed toward the crowd, ”Don’t you see their banners and signs?”

Luo Xiaoqian followed the direction Yu Tong pointed, and indeed she saw people waving her giant posters and holding up signs with the character ”Qian” on them. On the banners, in bold, were the words ”Welcome Princess back to the Capital, Princess Legion will forever support you.”

”Princess? What does that mean?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, puzzled.

”Haven’t you seen ’Princess Qianqian’?” Xiao Zhou said with a smile on the side. ”Because there’s a ’Qian’ in your name and your personality is quite similar to Princess Qianqian from the movie, these fans have taken to calling you Princess Qianqian, and they call themselves the Princess Legion.”

Princess?!

Luo Xiaoqian was embarrassed. She was no princess!

Fortunately, the airport had made arrangements well in advance, and security guards had already set up a cordon.

As the group went through the security check, the fans were so excited to see her that they cheered and shouted. The security line nearly broke, and some fans even fell to the ground.

The staff, fearing Luo Xiaoqian would get trapped, hurried her to leave. However, seeing the crowded fans, she could not bear it and immediately took a megaphone from one of the security guards and stepped up the staircase.

”Everyone, quiet down and listen to me!”
