After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 334: Chapter 335: Could They Be Together?

”But we can’t find Xiao Qian at all now!” Yu Tong said with a helpless look.

”President Leng said that tomorrow afternoon he will arrange for Luo Xiaoqian to fly directly to Sichuan,” Zhuo Yannan said.

Everyone turned their faces in surprise.

They all could not find Luo Xiaoqian, yet Leng Zimo said he had arranged for Luo Xiaoqian to fly directly to Sichuan.

That statement was indeed loaded with information.

”Could they be together?” Xiao Zhou was the first to blurt out the question.

Zhuo Yannan gave her a sideways glance, his tone serious, ”Remember, in the entertainment industry, don’t ask what you shouldn’t ask, don’t say what you shouldn’t say!”

...

...

Central, Hong Kong.

Landmark Plaza, bustling with customers.

Inside the outdoor store, Leng Zimo reached up to take a women’s waterproof jacket off the shelf.

”And this... Pack up everything.”

”Wait a minute!” Luo Xiaoqian, who was looking at tents nearby, hurried over, ”I’m not planning to go mountain climbing, why are we buying all this stuff?”

At first, when she saw him enter the outdoor store, she thought he was just browsing, but to her bewilderment, he had picked out such a large pile, and all for women, which she really couldn’t comprehend.

Handing his credit card to the sales associate, Leng Zimo turned sideways to give her a smile without offering an explanation.

No sooner had they finished paying, the driver waiting outside the store came in, taking the shopping bags and speaking to Leng Zimo, ”The flight ticket is booked, we leave for Chengdu, Sichuan in two hours.”

Leng Zimo nodded lightly.

”Aren’t you going back to Beijing?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, puzzled.

”Let’s go eat first,” Leng Zimo said, striding toward the store exit.

The two arrived at a Thai Restaurant upstairs, and while waiting for the dishes to be served, Luo Xiaoqian checked her wristwatch, ”If you’re going to Sichuan, then I’ll head back to Beijing tonight. Tomorrow is Xu Xia’s final competition, and I need to attend their rehearsal tonight.”

”You don’t need to go,” said Leng Zimo.

”Huh?” Luo Xiaoqian lifted her face, ”What did you say?”

”I’ve arranged for someone else to go in your place. After we eat, I’ll take you to the airport; you’ll fly directly to Chengdu to participate in the ’Books to the Mountains’ public welfare activity.”

”Why?” Luo Xiaoqian asked, not understanding.

”It’s the company’s arrangement.”

”But...” Luo Xiaoqian frowned, ”I already promised Xu Xia, and Yu Tong agreed at the time as well. She didn’t mention any public welfare activity.”

”Don’t forget, you are an artist, and the company has the authority to decide your work arrangements...” Seeing the waiter coming over with dishes, Leng Zimo smiled across the table at her, ”Alright, let’s eat. If we delay any further, we’ll miss the plane.”

Luo Xiaoqian reluctantly picked up her utensils but then put them down and stood up. She asked the waiter, ”May I use the phone?”

”You can’t!” The speaker was not the waiter, but Leng Zimo.

”Using your phone is inconvenient; I just want to explain things to Xu Xia over the phone,” Luo Xiaoqian explained.

”There’s no time left, you just focus on going to Sichuan. I will arrange for someone to explain to Xu Xia.”

He certainly knew what she was thinking, and that was exactly why he couldn’t let her make that call.

Xu Xia, with her big mouth, would ruin all his arrangements.

”It’s just one phone call; it won’t take much time. I promise I’ll be quick,” Luo Xiaoqian looked again at the waiter, ”Please...”

”Luo Xiaoqian!” from the other end of the table, Leng Zimo stood up abruptly, ”I said you can’t. Didn’t you hear me?”
