After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 307: Chapter 308: Isn’t it so? [5]

”He’s very demanding with work, and I really admire his work ethic and principles in dealing with others. For someone like me, a newcomer, to receive an apology from him, I was very touched,” Luo Xiaoqian answered seriously.

”Previously, you and the president of Asia View Asia Headquarters, Mr. Jiao Yang, were rumored to be in a scandal. Do you have anything to say about that?”

Hmph!

This guy deliberately made things difficult with Leng Zimo during dinner yesterday, preventing her from even having her steak, and now he had the nerve to ask this.

”I have nothing to say about it; it was just a misunderstanding. I have no relationship with Mr. Jiao Yang!” Luo Xiaoqian’s tone was clearly tinged with displeasure.

”Then why were you dining together? Luo Xiaoqian, don’t you think such an answer is dishonest?...” Jiao Yang fired off a barrage of sharp questions, observing the embarrassment on her face, he gestured a smiling hand sign, ”Actually, just now at that moment, you didn’t need to answer, a smile would have been enough. Those reporters are like that if you don’t like to answer a question, they’ll press even more on that question. If you show the slightest weakness, they might catch you. Let’s try it again.”

He repeated the question just as before.

This time, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t answer; instead, she followed his fingers, parted her lips, and smiled.

”You could smile a little more.”

She did as instructed, smiling a bit broader.

”OK, just like that, very good!” Jiao Yang gave a thumbs up, ”The smile should be inscrutable, so even the reporters can’t decipher your thoughts. He’ll then think the question is boring and naturally give up.”

Luo Xiaoqian nodded.

”Good, let’s continue!”

Jiao Yang opened his mouth again, this time not asking anything special, just some simple questions about what she liked to eat, what she liked to play with, and Luo Xiaoqian answered truthfully.

The two-hour flight soon ended, and Jiao Yang’s mock interview was also completed.

”Thank you!” When disembarking the plane, Luo Xiaoqian stood up to thank him.

After his impromptu training, she felt much more confident.

Jiao Yang lazily stood up, ”So, as a thank you, shouldn’t you invite me out for a meal?”

”I know you and Leng Zimo are business rivals, but don’t you think this game is quite boring? I’m just a newcomer under Emperor View.” Luo Xiaoqian spoke earnestly.

”Do you think I’m pursuing you because of Leng Zimo?” Jiao Yang asked in return.

”Isn’t it?”

Luo Xiaoqian pursed her lips; she certainly didn’t believe he actually wanted to pursue her—that was nonsense.

Jiao Yang didn’t respond, he only flashed a mysterious, mischievous smile, just as he had advised her before. With Luo Xiaoqian’s experience, she couldn’t discern his true thoughts.

”Xiao Qian!”

Yu Tong had already come over, helping her collect her things and taking out the makeup bag to touch up her makeup lightly.

Outside the plane, there were already reporters and fans waiting; as a public figure, Luo Xiaoqian naturally also needed some necessary preparations.

By this time, Jiao Yang had already put on his black shades, pulled his cap down low, slung his bag over his shoulder, and as he passed by Luo Xiaoqian’s profile, he waved at her discreetly and strode down the plane.

After fixing her makeup, Luo Xiaoqian walked down the plane with the accompaniment of Yu Tong and others. Facing the flashlights, she no longer felt the previous panic and discomfort, merely smiling and waving at the shouting fans.
