After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 333: Chapter 334: Having Each Other’s Best Interests at Heart

Walking in, Luo Xiaoqian glanced at his face and smiled as she offered the cup of hot honey water she was holding to him.

”Here, drink it while it’s hot, it can make your stomach feel better. I know you don’t like sweets, so I didn’t put much honey in it, might be a bit spicy.”

He took the cup and brought it to his lips, taking a small sip.

The water was warm but not hot, and with just one sip, it seemed to warm his heart. The ginger taste was not too strong, and the sweetness was light enough not to make him feel sick.

Looking up, Leng Zimo drank all the water in the cup in one go.

His stomach felt warm and cozy, and the tension from his anger seemed to relax significantly.

”Do you feel better now?”

”Much better.” Standing up, he placed the cup on the table and raised his hand to pat her little head, ”Go to sleep.”

”I don’t understand your work, but I think no matter how big the problem is, there is always a solution.” She looked up at him and raised her little hand to his chest, ”Now, follow my instructions, take a deep breath, inhale, exhale... Yes, just like that. Don’t you feel much better? Anger harms the body. If you make yourself sick, I’ll feel sorry!”

Watching her child-like smiling face, Leng Zimo paused for a moment before gently hugging her and patting her on the back.

”I know, now go to sleep obediently.”

”Yes, sir!”

Making a funny face at him, she picked up the empty cup and turned to walk towards the door, not forgetting to look back at him and gesture a smiley face with her fingers by her lips.

Leng Zimo smiled back at her, and only after she seemed satisfied did she open the door, step out, and close his room door behind her gently.

Sitting back in his chair, Leng Zimo pondered for a while before calling Zhuo Yannan once more.

”Is there any event organized by the company that could take Luo Xiaoqian away from Beijing for a few days?”

”Tomorrow there’s a public charity event in a remote area of Sichuan.”

”Arrange for her to go.”

”But... I can’t find her right now.”

”Don’t worry about that. Tomorrow afternoon, I will make sure she gets to Sichuan. Have Yu Tong pick her up at the airport.” Leng Zimo glanced at Luo Xiaoqian’s mobile phone on the table, ”Remember, no one is to reveal a single word about this to her.”

”She’ll be fine in Sichuan. It’s a remote place with less information flow, and this time, the staff accompanying her are all our people. However, as soon as she reappears in Beijing, those reporters are sure to pounce on her like mad dogs!”

Leng Zimo’s voice was very calm, ”Before she returns to Beijing, I will have everything arranged.”

”Good, I will have Yu Tong adjust her schedule right away.” Zhuo Yannan hesitated for a moment, ”There is one thing I think I need to remind you of. Xiao Qian has promised Xu Xia to be the guest singer for ’Huaxia Idol’. The finals are the day after tomorrow.”

After thinking for a moment, Leng Zimo said, ”Arrange a top singer to replace Luo Xiaoqian. Just say she has work and can’t attend. As for Luo Xiaoqian, I’ll take care of it.”

”Okay!” Zhuo Yannan ended the call.

”How did it go?”

By his side, Yu Tong and several subordinates all looked over worriedly.

”President Leng said he would explain.” Zhuo Yannan looked at Yu Tong, ”Tomorrow, you fly to Sichuan, take Xiao Qian with you to the ’Book Donation to the Mountains’ event. Xiao Zhou, you’re going as well. Both of you must remember, President Leng specifically instructed that before she returns to Beijing, she is not to know anything about this issue.”
