After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 329: Chapter 330: Very... Fresh

Leng Zimo glanced at the table, ”I’ll get the wine.”

”Ah, I forgot!”

Reminded by his comment, Luo Xiaoqian realized that she had forgotten the wine. She hurriedly went to the bar to get glasses, and Leng Zimo brought the wine over and poured it into two glasses.

The two sat on opposite sides of the table, and Luo Xiaoqian lifted her glass, ”Um... for Luo Xiaoqian’s first time making Western food, and it’s very successful, cheers!”

”Okay, cheers!” Leng Zimo extended his glass, clinking it lightly with hers, and as she brought the wine to her lips, he didn’t forget to remind her, ”Don’t drink too much.”

”I know!” Luo Xiaoqian took a small sip of the wine and immediately looked with hopeful eyes at the steak on his plate, ”Try it quickly, the beef will not taste good when it’s cold!”

Leng Zimo smiled and picked up the knife, beginning to cut the meat on his plate elegantly.

However, with one cut, the blood was already seeping out.

Because she had read many articles beforehand, Luo Xiaoqian knew that if the steak was overcooked it wouldn’t be good, so she feared overcooking it, and after frying it just until it changed color, she served it – the steak was at most thirty percent done.

As he often worked overtime, his stomach wasn’t very good, and naturally, eating meat like this wasn’t going to be pleasant for him.

This kind of beef, if it were from outside, Leng Zimo would never touch.

Seeing the expectant look on Luo Xiaoqian’s face across the table, he pursed his lips, and then put the piece of beef, which was at most thirty percent cooked, into his mouth.

”How is it?”

Across the table, Luo Xiaoqian asked softly.

Struggling to swallow the still very raw beef in his mouth, Leng Zimo slightly raised the corner of his lips.

”It’s... very fresh!”

At this, Luo Xiaoqian felt relieved, picked up her knife and fork, and prepared to cut the meat on her plate.

”Wait a second!”

Leng Zimo hurriedly called out to stop her, knowing that if this girl realized she had failed terribly, she would be very upset.

”What’s wrong?”

Luo Xiaoqian looked up, puzzled.

”One piece isn’t enough for me.” Leng Zimo looked at the beef on her plate, ”Can you give me yours?”

”Of course!” Without a second thought, she passed her plate to him, and shyly smiled at him, ”Zimo, I’ll tell you the truth. Actually, I’ve already tried making it four times. I burned three steaks, and the fourth was barely edible. I thought it was wasteful to throw it away, so I ate it myself, and I’m not even hungry now!”

Leng Zimo smiled inwardly, reached out to take her plate, and Luo Xiaoqian sat there, watching him eat.

Watching him eat the steak in big bites, she just lifted the corners of her lips, smiling sweetly.

”Where do you want to go tonight?” Leng Zimo asked while swallowing the raw beef.

”You’ve been working all day. Let’s not go out. Just now, the view from the terrace was nice. How about we take a walk nearby?” Luo Xiaoqian suggested.

”Sure!” Leng Zimo agreed immediately.

In Hong Kong, her popularity was not very high yet. Furthermore, the vicinity was residential, with hardly anyone around, so he didn’t have to worry about the two of them being chased by paparazzi.

After dinner, Luo Xiaoqian cleaned up the dishes, while Leng Zimo went upstairs to quietly take two stomach pills.

Then the two of them walked out of the villa together and went for a walk up the mountain.

In early summer, the weather wasn’t too hot. At this time, the top of the mountain was cool and comfortable, making it the perfect moment for a walk.

With soft lighting and the chirping of insects from the grass by the road, turning one’s head, one could see Victoria Harbour, taking in the entire Hong Kong at a glance...

”It’s beautiful!”

Luo Xiaoqian stopped on a protruding cliff, leaning on the railing and looking at the Oriental Pearl below the mountain.
