High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2100: Chapter 321: Burn Zheng Qing Da Parade (Part 1)

The black cat’s swaying tail suddenly stiffened.

”Burn... burn what?” Its ears abruptly stood up, and its eyes widened.

”Oh, it’s the ’Burn Zheng Qing Da Parade.’

The Sin Bearer enthusiastically explained nearby: ”Zheng Qing, you should know him, right? The talk of the town recently... It’s the one exposed by the Horn Report, who caused trouble for Su Councilor... Students from several colleges have unanimously decided that such a pest can’t be allowed to continue living in the world, so tonight they will hold the ’Burn Zheng Qing Da Parade!’

The black cat stood dumbfounded in place.

Several colleges?

Pest?

These terrifying words felt like spells lashing on its soul, leaving its mind blank, momentarily rooted to the spot.

After a while, it came to its senses, cautiously asking: ”If I am not mistaken, Zheng Qing seems to still be a student? How would the school allow such a brutal event... And wasn’t there a rumor that he dropped out?”

”There are no such pests in school! He isn’t worthy of being a student at the First University!” The wizard in the sheep-head mask raised his hand and shouted, already in parade mode.

”The ’comrades’ in the student union spread news saying they haven’t received Zheng Qing’s dropout application, it’s most likely just a false rumor he released.” The Sin Bearer also logically analyzed on the side: ”Moreover, if he tries to leave school through any main gate, including the First Hall, he’d be immediately detected...”

”I kind of wish he’d leave Buji Island at once.” The cold laughter from beneath the sheep-head mask made the already terrified black cat involuntarily shiver.

It made up its mind, it wouldn’t go home for New Year this year.

The school is quite nice.

There is food, lodging, and the chance to study diligently and improve every day, why leave school? The world is too dangerous, I just want to stay in school.

”Alright, alright, cut the crap!” Asmodeus, wearing the sheep-head mask, changed the subject, pulling out a piece of parchment from his arms and tossing it in front of the black cat: ”Here’s tonight’s assessment content! Hurry, hurry, I still want to participate in the parade!”

The black cat shook its head, looking down at the parchment.

The content on the paper was easy to understand, only three short multiple-choice questions.

”First question,”

Asmodeus cleared his throat, speaking rapidly: ”What kind of fire should be chosen to burn Zheng Qing? A, Ordinary Open Fire; B, Magical Intense Fire; C, Red Lotus Karma Fire; D, Phoenix Fire. Please answer.”

The black cat was already a bit numb tonight.

”All four,”

It felt incredibly objective and calm, easily adopting the opponent’s mindset: ”First burn to ashes with open fire, then burn the soul with intense fire, use the Red Lotus Karma Fire to prevent rebirth, and finally let him be reborn in Phoenix Fire, burn again.”

”Perfect!”

The wizard in the sheep-head mask raised his thumb in praise: ”Even better than I imagined! If not required by procedure, I would simply want you to pass right now...”

”Ahem, the supervisor is still here, watch your words.” The Sin Bearer coughed twice but also raised his thumb to the black cat: ”Beautifully done!”

The black cat chuckled twice.

”Second question, why are we burning Zheng Qing? A, He’s scum; B, He bullied Su Councilor; C, Punish evil, act on behalf of Heaven; D, No reason. Friendly reminder, this is a single-choice question.”

The black cat hesitated for a few seconds: ”Choose D... His sole purpose for existence is to be burned! No reason needed, no excuse, simply want to burn him!”

Nobody knows lunatics better than me, it consoled itself in its heart.

”Very pretty!” Asmodeus laughed, looking as if he wanted to rush forward to embrace the black cat: ”Passed, passed, explanation was very perfect, the third question I directly recognize you passed!”

The black cat chuckled dryly twice, backing away.

”No, you can’t directly recognize.” The nearby Sin Bearer kindly interrupted the excited sheep-head mask, reminding: ”Procedure, our actions must comply with club procedure.”

”Burn the procedure!”

Asmodeus’ laughter suddenly stopped, and he muttered a curse under his breath, then looked at the black cat with sincere apologies: ”Sorry... The third question is very simple, it’s a Q&A question, asking: What is the common point between the four colleges of First University?”

The black cat sighed slightly.

”Burn Zheng Qing.” As it said these four words, a peculiar feeling arose, as if the name represented not itself but some other evil entity.

The wizard in the sheep-head mask turned to the Sin Bearer, spreading his hands: ”How about it? Pure waste of time! Any more excuses? If not, I declare, tonight’s assessment ends, assessment successful!”

Having said this, without waiting for one person and one cat to react, he pulled out a Godspeed Talisman and slapped it on himself, his figure flashed and suddenly vanished into the dark night.

Only at this point did the Sin Bearer start to stand up, just about to speak.

Seeing the chief examiner ran away, the wizard wearing the ’Duck Egg’ mask shrugged, looking at the black cat: ”I must say, your luck really is astonishingly good...”

The black cat tugged at its ear.

It didn’t feel lucky at all.

But, simultaneously, it had to admit that it seemingly indeed had some luck.

The feeling could totally be termed as ’Schrodinger’s Luck’, simultaneously existing in excellent and terrible states.

”...Also, I need to remind you,” The Sin Bearer looked the black cat up and down, his gaze quirky: ”Even though you wear cat skin, the ’Mask’ is a necessary prop when facing other members of the club... Even though everyone knows what kind of cat is beneath your mask. As I said before, procedure, very important.”

The black cat raised its paw, touched its face, suddenly realizing, due to tonight’s abrupt assessment, it forgot to wear its own little white mask.

”Not my problem!” It snappily dropped its paw: ”You guys came too early today, I wasn’t ready yet... Also, I don’t quite understand, does tonight’s assessment have anything to do with ’Lust’?”

”Wasn’t the large parade tonight due to ’Lust’ and ’Desire’?” The Sin Bearer retorted.

The black cat suddenly fell silent.

The wizard in the white mask looked up at the fruits on the cat fruit tree, and then lowered his head to the black cat: ”Now that tonight’s assessment is over, do you want to join tonight’s parade or continue playing with your fruits?”

”Join, join.”

The black cat chuckled coldly, with thoughts of its roommates’ sneaky looks this morning crossing its mind, then recalled something, raised its paw and retrieved Xiao Xiao’s homework from the grey cloth bag hidden under its chin, handing it to the Sin Bearer: ”This was Belfinger’s previous task, it’s completed... you hand it over to him.”

”Oh, sure, sure...”
