High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2098: Chapter 319: Zheng Qing’s Diary – Four Entries

October 27th (Tuesday, suitable for alliance, unsuitable for blessing)

Class.

Receive mail.

The thing I feared the most has finally happened, damn Daily Horn Newspaper, I don’t know whether to praise their keen insight or criticize them for meddling. Does it really matter who Su Shijun’s husband is?

Why doesn’t anyone trouble that Big Fox!

They only like to pick on the weak.

Suicide is never an option, in this lifetime suicide is impossible. Being killed is undesirable. So I’ll just have to sneak around and hide, surviving through this period before considering anything else.

The world is so colorful and rich, I absolutely love being alive!

Xin Fat Man advised that I suspend my studies, saying the school’s absence of me is crucial for everyone. Dylan doesn’t recommend turning into a Zombie, insisting that Vampire bloodline is nobler. Doctor merely adjusts his glasses.

But I still want to struggle a bit more as a living person.

It’s just about drawing several more Invisibility Talismans every day. Before, I managed to evade those fanatics using this trick, maybe it can work again. For now, even in classrooms, I won’t remove the Invisibility Talisman from my body.

In the afternoon, advanced Magic Script, Professor Montreya was very accommodating, allowing me to attend class with the Invisibility Talisman.

After finishing the diary, I still have to fill out a stack of applications, applying to each course’s teacher for attending class invisibly.

I’m not worried about Old Yao and the senior professors, just those few younger ones — like Fu Lu Zhang, Sima from history class, Gan Ning from magical zoology, and Hilda from practice class — hopefully none of them are fervent fans of Su Daxu.

The moonlight outside is beautiful.

But all I feel is numerous malice surging in the dark.

Old Almanac says it’s not suitable for blessing today, so I won’t pray for myself — Three Pure Ones above, Namo Amitabha, Allah bless, Amen.

By the way, the paper ash from burning letter paper was used to mix a hemostatic potion, which worked well, stopping the nosebleed immediately.

October 28th (Wednesday, suitable for traveling, unsuitable for comfort)

Class.

Make up assignments.

Slept poorly last night. Had several nightmares in the middle of the night but couldn’t wake up. Various monsters, both seen and unseen, crazily hunted me in the dreams, and I fell off several cliffs.

I strongly suspect someone is using a voodoo doll against me, though there’s no evidence.

The Horn Newspaper article fermented overnight, completely spreading out. According to news from the student council, the amount of letters flowing to the office last night is equivalent to more than half a year’s total previously!

Besides the Invisibility Talisman, I need to prepare more Amulets.

Morning magic history, afternoon magical zoology, the teachers are all young and friendly, allowing me to attend class with the Invisibility Talisman, and no longer calling me to answer questions.

This proves they’re not fervent fans of Su Shijun.

However, among the students there are plenty of sinister guys. My desk was cursed, turning into a stinking swamp, swallowing my history class assignment, so tonight I have to rewrite a 5,000-word report analyzing the impact of the colonial system establishment on Wizard World.

I feel the only impact is the abundant magical resources from the colonial world making many wizards so fed up, they focus their attention on miscellaneous gossip!

But I can’t write this in the assignment.

Because Sima will indeed rip parchment paper.

No moonlight tonight, I know it’s bad.

Prepared ten Nightmare Dolls before bed, along with a stack of Calm Heart Talismans, hoping to have a good dream.

Also, the amount of letters and paper cranes today exceeds yesterday’, but most are Roaring Letters, leaving little paper ash. I’m already too afraid to go to the student council office to collect letters, so I wrote a proxy authorization for Xiao Xiao. Apparently, there are all sorts of malicious, roaming guys surrounding the office building.

Old Almanac is unreliable.

October 29th (Thursday, suitable for sacrificial rites, unsuitable for all else)

Class.

Catch up on sleep.

I’m certain someone is using a voodoo doll against me.

Because while sleeping last night, the Nightmare Dolls under my pillow lost their heads one after another, waking up in the morning was terrifying, the stack of Amulets turned entirely to black ash, I never knew there were so many evil existences in this world.

Besides Amulets and Invisibility Talismans, I’m already out of energy to draw other talismans.

I filed a complaint to the School Works Committee and the student council.

The School Works Committee’s response was gentle, merely stating the school has blocked many remote, powerful curses, the ones troubling me now are merely ’pranks’ by some kids in school?

Ridiculous, how many kids are there in First University!

The student council’s response was bizarre, they hope that I go to the office to personally state what harm I’ve suffered and claimed this is the formal process. I suspect there’s a hidden intention and refused the invitation.

Of course, there aren’t reasons entirely without good things these days.

Because wearing an Invisibility Talisman to class, and not getting called by teachers to answer questions, I can openly catch up on sleep during class. The only caution is not to snore or talk in my sleep.

After all, my current seat selection is random, with no reliable companion by my side.

This afternoon was a career planning session, the professor took an interest in using me as an example, claiming it’s the most successful career planning he’s ever seen.

Heaven knows what planning I’ve done!

Tonight outside is grayish, don’t know if there’s a moon.

Need to be extra cautious at bedtime, otherwise, why would that Xin Fat Man and Dylan look at me a few extra times? Whether they’re worried about me or wanting to harm me!

This isn’t delusional persecution.

It’s prudence.

October 30th (Friday, suitable for cleaning, unsuitable for erecting a monument)

Class.

Talisman painting.

Morning, after early class, Fat Man brought extra Energy magic potion for breakfast, saying he saw my face looking unwell these days, maybe it needs supplementing.

I dared not drink it, secretly fed it to Furry Bean.

Only this Gouzi still looks at me with the same gaze.

Greenhill Mansion still has no news, Su Daxu continues hiding silently in the laboratory, Poseidon has also been taken back to the mansion by Su Ya, seems safe recently.

The situation continues to worsen.

No one talks about the school Hunting Competition less than a week ago, showing Nicolas is somewhat disappointed.

Every corner I invisibly pass, everyone is buzzing with gossip about me and Su Shijun, this enthusiasm almost makes one doubt if Wizard World has any reality beyond rumors!

Many people are seeking my whereabouts.

I instructed Absolution’s companions to quietly leak information saying I’ve already processed withdrawal from school, left Buji Island, etc., hoping it can have some effect.

Absolution’s companions have been under significant pressure recently.

Because they can’t find me, others come to them — of course, they haven’t faced my experiences, and no one has wasted Magic Power drawing voodoo dolls to curse them — but nearly everyone they meet asks about my whereabouts and if Poseidon is truly the child of me and Su Shijun.

So I need to draw more Invisibility Talismans.

Endless assignments, unceasing talisman painting, unavoidable nonsense gossip!

Tomorrow is Halloween.

Hopefully, there might be some good luck.

Tonight the moonlight is very dim.
