High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 2091: Chapter 312: Gifts (Extra)

”I want to claim two gift boxes!”

Beside him, Li Meng’s voice interrupted Zheng Qing’s attention. He looked up to see the little witch assertively telling the little fox lady, ”Lin Guo and I are in the same system, and he’s not here right now, so I need to claim his gift for him! So I should get two gift boxes!”

The complexity of this statement seemed to exceed the thinking capacity of a little fox lady.

”Huh? Is... is that so?”

She looked around for help.

Jiang Yu, as always, ignored her cousin’s nonsense. Dylan, Blue Bird, and Zhang Ji Xin were all focused on their gifts, except for Xin Fat Man, who wanted his cake and eat it too. He nodded immediately and got a secret thumbs-up from Li Meng.

”Well then... you can take another one.”

Su Ya raised her eyebrows mischievously and unceremoniously pushed her little bag towards her friend, ”Pick one yourself... I think the heavy ones are definitely better than the light ones... Do you want to change the one you have? The packaging color is too messy and not trendy at all.”

Zheng Qing’s eye twitched.

He seriously suspected Su Ya was just pretending to be clueless, just trying to find someone to take the fall, and the Fat Wizard, with his broad shoulders, was undoubtedly the best scapegoat.

As for the two gift boxes in Li Meng’s hand,

He’s not worried that the little witch would pocket them, but both gift boxes would definitely be opened by her, and after she picked the one she preferred, only then could the other go to the official manager of the Absolution Hunting Team.

With these tangled thoughts, the warlock lowered his head again and looked at his own gift.

For some reason, as he tugged at the ribbon, he felt his mind wandering, various thoughts kept popping into his head—like, should he give the team some rewards, as Old Yao and Su Shijun did? Should he give everyone an invisibility talisman? Today is the Double Ninth Festival, Halloween is in a few days, and they also achieved a good result in the hunting competition. With so many things happening, should he give Jiang Yu another gift? Besides, when they did well last year, she gave him a gun.

Thinking of that Colt silver python, Zheng Qing immediately recalled another Remington and even further back, that Beretta Double-Barrel. All these thoughts floated in his mind, and when he came back to his senses, the gift box in front of him had already been opened, revealing the gift lying on the stand.

It was a little wizard in a crinoline skirt.

”This gift doesn’t suit me, who wants to trade?” Zheng Qing picked up the gift from the box and looked around—saying so, but he directly looked at Li Meng, because among everyone present, only she might want this doll.

Li Meng looked dumbfounded.

Beside her, Jiang Yu and Xiao Xiao couldn’t stop her in time, one covering Su Ya’s eyes, and the other covering Li Meng’s eyes, leaving the rest of them laughing uncontrollably. Even Blue Bird, usually indifferent, subconsciously raised his sleeve to cover half his face, seemingly unwilling to show people his laughter.

Oh no, I’m trapped.

This was the first thought that popped into Zheng Qing’s mind.

Then, he felt a sense of suffocation.

This wasn’t an illusion, but the most genuine feeling of wearing a crinoline skirt—a tight corset squeezing his ribs together, and the expanded and stiff petticoat flaring out in all directions, making him feel like Donald Duck with his butt sticking out.

A light breeze brushed by, and the young public expense student’s bare shoulder rose with goosebumps.

Thank heavens, thankfully it’s a classical style doll outfit.

This was another thought that surfaced in Zheng Qing’s mind.

”Let me go! He’s not naked!”

Li Meng shouted, breaking free from her cousin’s restraint. Her words were so reasonable that Jiang Yu was momentarily stunned, unsure if she should continue to cover the little witch’s eyes or if she should cover everyone’s eyes instead.

Zheng Qing rarely saw her look so helpless, so he couldn’t help but chuckle.

It’s just so bizarre.

Those who should laugh didn’t, and those who shouldn’t laughed.

Pfft!

On the other side, Su Ya, the little maid, also broke free from Xiao Xiao’s arm, somehow raised a small camera, and with a puff of smoke, a plump seed rolled out from the exit, falling into the little fox lady’s well-prepared palm.

Then she clenched her fingers, grasping the seed, and turned to run away, without even bidding goodbye to her friends. Her fluffy tail slipped out from under the skirt, swaying deftly behind her, making her figure appear even more agile, like a wisp of smoke.

Blue Bird and Dylan disappeared from sight almost simultaneously.

”This isn’t Pandora’s gift box, it’s a Pandora’s magic box.”

The captain of the Absolution Hunting Team analyzed calmly, as if he wasn’t wearing a crinoline skirt but a sharp tailcoat.

Meanwhile, he dug into his grey cloth bag, reaching inside: ”Luckily, Doctor had already made a contingency plan for us...”

As one of the most popular prank props in recent months, Zheng Qing had seen more than once a warlock running through the streets covering his face in a dress, which is why Doctor Xiao had made contingency plans for the male warlocks in the dormitory long ago, suggesting everyone prepare a mask at all times.

”The magic of the doll dresses usually lasts about an hour, which means you wouldn’t need to wear this dress to class this afternoon.” Doctor Xiao adjusted his glasses, analyzing calmly.

Zheng Qing pulled out a black-faced Zhang Fei mask, firmly placing it on his face, and muffled a response, ”Just an hour... I’ll stay in the dorm at noon!”

Before the words were out, the black face mask plopped onto the ground. The others—including Jiang Yu—once again couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Zheng Qing calmly took a breath, bent down with effort, picked up the mask, and put it back on his face.

Plop.

The mask fell again.

No need to question now, clearly, someone had placed some ’vicious’ magic on the doll dress, forbidding the wearer from donning a mask before it expired.

”I bet the invisibility talisman wouldn’t work either,” Xin Fat Man quipped, pulling out a yellow talisman and slapping it on Zheng Qing’s bare shoulder with a smack.

The yellow talisman remained still, like a scrap of paper.

”Indeed, it doesn’t work.”

”Might as well just go... staying in the classroom isn’t a solution, soon they’ll close the doors.”

”Be brave, just ignore those strange looks... by the way, you’re actually looking quite pretty married in that dress...”

”Did you offend Su Councilor?”

”Look at the bright side, at least she didn’t prepare high heels and a mini skirt for you...”

”Or lingerie... pfft, hahahaha...”

”Why not move a bit faster?”

”You think I don’t want to?” Finally losing his temper, the warlock shouted at his gloating friends, ”Try running in a dress six to seven meters wide, with four or five layers of petticoats!!... Where’s that pesky little fox?”

The last line was directed at Dylan and Blue Bird, who reappeared before him.

The two warlocks returned empty-handed.

Blue Bird shrugged, saying nothing.

Dylan, however, apologized to his team captain with a smile, ”Su Man, the head maid of Greenhill Mansion, was downstairs and took that little fox away... she insisted she didn’t see any seed... it’s not like we could search her in broad daylight, right.”

In the corridor, several young witches walked towards them, surprised to see the warlock in a fancy skirt, covering their mouths as they giggled. Zheng Qing tried hard to ignore them, straightening his back, trying not to sway like an orangutan.

Embarrassing anyway, so he might as well be embarrassing in style, at least give people the impression of some majestic demeanor.

Like hell!

Drat!
