High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1688: Chapter 432 Shot

When the feeling of stepping into emptiness came again, Zheng Qing no longer panicked, but instead felt a sense of ’so it is’.

From falling off a plane during admission, being swept into the sky by Su Shijun in the sandbox mini-world, to entering the dreamland through a mirror, such experiences had already dulled the young wizard’s nerves, no longer making him lose his soul when facing such abrupt shocks.

He immediately held his charm gun tightly, placing his finger on the trigger.

Faint screams from Zhu Si reached his ears, and in front, it was pitch black with no light at all, not even a hint of wind. Just as he stabilized his posture and planned to pull out an illumination charm, a spark of light suddenly appeared in his vision and quickly expanded.

Bam!

The warlock burst out of the darkness and plunged into the sunlight.

Two intersecting shadows below told him that this place still belonged to the Black Prison, but the clean and tidy cyan stone corridor in front clearly indicated that he had left the chaotic and desolate wilderness and arrived in a place filled with order.

Black Prison Castle.

The first term that appeared in the mind of the young cost student.

Then, he saw not far away, an elder wizard wearing a heavy cloak, with a high collar covering most of his face. Even though he was very close, Zheng Qing could only see a pair of dark eyes resembling beetles and deep wrinkles on the elder’s forehead.

The elder wizard looked somewhat familiar, this was the second thought that appeared in the young wizard’s mind.

Behind him came two witches’ soft moans and the black cat’s murmured complaints. Zheng Qing quickly turned back, glanced briefly to confirm they were fine, and immediately withdrew his gaze, focusing on the outside of the castle.

By this time, he was already certain that he was inside Black Prison Castle, this should be a section of the castle wall. The Door God hadn’t played any tricks and instead sent them honestly to a safe area inside Black Prison Castle.

The warlock grabbed his charm gun, struggled to stand, and quickly paced to the parapet, looking out.

Beyond the walls, there was a three-headed and eight-armed, green-faced and fang-bearing, towering giant ape, roaring, and hurling spells of thick magnitude all around, explosive sounds reverberating in succession.

Opposite it.

A massive eyeball, with a diameter of tens of meters, floated in the air, thunder roiling as it opened and closed, layers of black curse light stacking up one after another; there were thick swathes of white mist, like living beings, swirling around the giant eyeball, morphing into knives, guns, swords, and halberds, with warriors pouring continuously, charging at the giant ape; there was also a beautifully designed massive clock hanging above the eyeball, with its three hands moving at varying speeds, the tick-tock sound resonating between heaven and earth.

Near the giant ape and the giant eye, a white bear wrestled with a muscular man, a tall witch faced off with an octopus-like monster, and there was a blurred illusory world where one could vaguely see a monk radiating golden light moving within.

Several inconspicuous black spheres hovered among the numerous monsters, and yet they were surprisingly conspicuous.

The sky above was cloudless, with two suns shining brightly in tandem, casting a brilliant light, and giant dog-like shadows stayed close, seemingly ready to open their huge mouths to swallow the fireballs in the sky at any moment.

Beneath the castle, it was a stretch of lush green, like a green ocean.

Several gigantic battleships were docked on this green sea, some completely black, surrounded by white mist; some had layered structures along the hull, covered in green algae; others had wide bodies, with an illusory landscape unfolding; and there was a Stone Mountain fallen from the sky, laden with cracks all over the mountain.

Those battleships were scarred yet, like a hive, had a steady stream of ’worker bees’ pouring out from their chambers, rushing towards the base of the castle.

Twigs of varying lengths and thicknesses spread everywhere, climbing the walls like vines, countless demons carrying various weapons, howling, with eyes glinting red, climbing along the vines, with spells falling from the castle head like fireworks, severed limbs and splattered blood flying around, yet their charge was not deterred.

A bit farther, at the edge of the green sea, stood a large willow tree, beside which was a giant with many heads and arms, resembling a small mountain, provoking awe and dread from afar, its overwhelming presence still crashing in even from a distance.

Further beyond, outside the range of the willow and giants, red light, black smoke, golden rays, and many other colors intertwined like a vivid background of an oil painting, large patches of colors overlapped, standing atop the castle walls, Zheng Qing could vaguely see many tall figures battling among those color blocks, with intense magical fluctuations like hurricanes tearing those color patches apart, but immediately, new color patches filled the void.

Looking around, the entire world was like a pot boiling with broth over roaring flames.

Permeated with a fear-inducing atmosphere.

”Students from Jiuyou Academy?”

An elderly, indifferent voice sounded at the warlock’s ear.

It was only then that Zheng Qing remembered there was another elder wizard standing on the wall, hurriedly turned around, intending to explain, but saw a point of black light unexpectedly appear at the elder’s slanted rear.

At the moment he saw the black light, it had already expanded from a point to the size of a pot lid, continuing to extend, within moments becoming a pitch-black disc several meters in diameter.

A large hand with six fingers emerged from that black disc, claws spread wide, steadily grasping toward the back of the elder wizard’s head, with the pads of the six fingers flashing with six different colored halos, undoubtedly very potent magic.

Zheng Qing’s pupils shrank into a point instantly.

That six-fingered hand left a very deep impression on him.

During last year’s Winter Hunting, when the Absolution team was trapped in a sandbox mini-world, Six Fingers appeared, nearly killed Su Shijun, captured him, and was finally driven away by Mr. Ruo Yu.

The boy didn’t have time to warn, instinctively lifted his charm gun, and pulled the tightly pressed fu bullet.

Bam!

A light blue streak brushed past the elder’s shoulder.

Boom!

The blood symbol bullet collided heavily with Six Fingers, the differing magical powers entwined and mutually extinguished, instantly peeled off the flesh from the six fingers, turning into six bony remains.

A low groan came faintly from behind the black disc.

Crack.

Fine spiderweb-like cracks appeared on the black disc, a clear breaking sound filled the air, as it became evident it couldn’t proceed, Six Fingers, now a skeletal hand, quickly retracted.

Crash.

The black disc shattered like broken glass, becoming fragments that fell from the air, but vanished before touching the ground.

Zheng Qing exhaled heavily.

Throughout the ordeal, the expression of the elder wizard hadn’t changed, not even glancing back from the appearance of the black light to the disappearance of the shattered black disc.

Only now did Zheng Qing suddenly realize what he had just done.

”Mr. Ruo Yu!” A tense voice from Jiang Yu came beside him: ”Please listen to our explanation!”
