Chapter 1673: Chapter 417: The Great Willow

Clang! Clang!

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The heavy footsteps echoed before the inner castle walls, easily capturing the attention of most Wizards on the walls. Accompanying the footsteps, several tall figures slowly appeared before everyone.

The Vice Principal of the First University stood on the wall, silently observing the visitors.

”Fog, Vortex, Mirage, Iceberg.”

Vice Principal Shi Hui looked at the four Great Demon ships, lowly repeating their names, her gaze gradually becoming sharp: ”Just you little guys... dare to cause trouble in Black Prison?”

Mist Captain lifted his hood, revealing a blue-gray face and a pair of deep dark red eyes.

”Of course not,” Mist Captain stood on the figurehead of the ship, the snake-like hair beneath his feet blooming like a lotus, his voice exceptionally calm: ”But... who told you that only a few of us were on the ship?”

While speaking, the mist behind the captain gradually contracted and dispersed, revealing several tall figures following closely behind, along with the eager Demon battle teams crowding the deck.

The dense scarlet gazes were remarkably dazzling even under the sunlight.

Vice Principal Ruoyu lowered his eyelids, his face as calm as an ancient well without waves.

Lady Shi Hui looked at two Great Wizard Demons following Mist Captain, slightly furrowed her brow, scrutinized them for a moment, then slowly spoke: ”Watcher Gustav Duran, Mark Bridget, the Time Usurper... do you already have the confidence to stand before us?”

The two named Great Wizard Demons humbly lowered their heads.

”In front of the true Legend, words like confidence are insignificant, Professor.” Responded calmly, the lean and tall Great Wizard Demon on Mist Captain’s left: ”...That’s what you taught us.”

The slightly shorter Great Wizard Demon on the right chimed in, solemnly supplementing: ”We perceive the guidance of the True Ancestor, Truth, and Destiny, coming here merely to maintain the balance of this World.”

Vice Principal Shi Hui slightly raised a brow: ”Still as slick-tongued as ever... Since you voluntarily came to Black Prison, a ’surrender,’ then stay here honestly and reflect seriously.”

While speaking, she had already raised her right hand, fingers rolling several slender vines, buds shaped like flames, leaves with a metallic luster, and white clouds swirling around.

Boom!

In the distance, at the end of the Keiform Flight Land, at the fractured outer wall of Black Prison Castle, Multiple-Armed Giant KOTOS used both hands to grip that large wooden stick, thrusting it forcefully into the ground.

The stick landed and took root, instantly transforming into a massive willow tree.

This Great Willow was different from ordinary ones, growing numerous thick air roots beneath, like bald willow branches, deeply inserted between the fractured gaps of the surrounding walls, its gnarled roots tightly clamping the protruding rocks, its slender branches resembling Gorgon’s long hair, wildly winding and extending, clinging to the nearby colossal figure.

The earth slightly trembled, the Spiritual Machine around the entire area of Black Prison Castle rolled along with the birth, growth, and expansion of the willow tree, magical fluctuations rising and falling, with the earth vein emitting a painful yet joyful moan, disturbing the originally stabilizing magic defense system of Black Prison Castle, significantly increasing the pressure on the Wizards defending the castle.

Vice Principal Shi Hui frowned, pondering, slowly lowered her raised right hand, the rolling spells and Magic Script between her fingers quietly vanishing with the motion.

Controlling conflict with stillness, calming with tranquility, was the overall strategy determined by the Divination Group of Black Prison Castle for this battle. According to several Great Diviners, Wizards in the Black Prison World had the advantage of Heaven Timing, geographic convenience, and human harmony, needing only to guard step by step, slowly consuming the demons’ power, and once the Xuanhuang Fruit matured for harvesting, dealing with the demons who intruded the prison would naturally be twice as effective with half the effort.

This strategy had always been strictly executed by the Wizards guarding Black Prison Castle, even when demons raised the Sun in Black Prison, even when Leviathan wildly tore the sky, Wizards maintained the minimum level of counter-attacks, refusing to show any weakness.

But at this moment, looking at the rooted Great Willow tree, Vice Principal Shi Hui felt a trace of irritation rising in her heart.

She disliked this passive defensive approach, feeling constrained in her actions—compared to this, she preferred bold and decisive offense, eliminating external risks in the shortest time, then refocusing attention back on Black Prison.

Swish... Swish...

In the distance on the Great Willow tree, the branches stretched under the sunlight, the green leaves being the only bright color at that moment between heaven and earth, countless branches resembling countless blue-green long snakes, quickly spreading all over Multi-Armed Giant KOTOS’s arms and body, taking very little time to completely engulf him, transforming into a gigantic green titan.

Beneath the verdant color, unsettling chewing and sucking sounds vaguely emanated.

The Wizards defending Black Prison Castle—including the two Vice Principals on the inner castle walls, the four Deans on the fractured sides, and the Upper House Members of the Moon Council on the tower—focused their attention on the writhing green lifeform, their expressions growing more solemn.

”Suspected sacrificial magic.”

Su Shijun said quietly, although she overlooked the massive green lifeform below the tower, the starry sky reflected in her eyes, the fox tail behind her uneasily swayed, with one placing itself on her shoulder, the tail tip brushing against her earlobe, whispering seemingly softly.

The Witch raised her hand, touching the furry tail tip by her ear, her expression becoming increasingly serious.

Beside her, Gongsun Bing rolled up his sleeves, revealing muscular, rugged arms; Silent Souls’ fingers rolled several black and white interspersed chess pieces; yet William and Milton, understanding their limits, did not intend to provoke the Great Demon, merely focusing their gaze on the insect monsters swarming and relentlessly assaulting the outer fortress’s defense system.

”Able to sacrifice a top-tier Big Wizard... Undoubtedly, it’s a formidable magic.” Silent Souls praised, the chess pieces between his fingers multiplying, the regretful expression on his face growing stronger: ”...These demons are truly abhorrent, squandering such precious experimental materials.”

Responding to him was the writhing green giant below the tower.

”Ko...sss...to...sss...!!”

The thunderous roar was enveloped by dense branches, muffled and unclear, like phlegm stuck in the throat, accompanied by the final roar, the Great Willow tree grew increasingly verdant and upright, branches writhing increasingly lively, exceeding the shadow-covered range, spreading out in all directions.

Swish...

Swish.

Like thousands of green serpents weaving through the rocks, or like green tide surging onto the shore. The earth originally covered with black gravel and red lava suddenly became a vast green.

Looking from afar, it seemed like the earth sprouted a spring of green water, gurgling, swishing, tirelessly spewing out torrents of green spring water.
