High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1646: Chapter 390: Breaking Through the Boundary

The sky of the Black Prison World has clouds, black in color, heavy in atmosphere, and boundless in shape, covering every corner of the entire world and sky.

Then on this day.

First, the black clouds in the southeast corner were torn by a white rainbow.

Later, many white spots appeared in the clouds over the Black Prison Castle.

Those white spots were initially tiny, like grains of rice, scattered throughout the clouds as if black ebony had been eroded by white ants. Little black spherical beads squeezed out of those eroded holes, one after another, like drops of black rain, falling into the Black Prison World. They then stretched out, transformed into fierce, monstrous insects, attacking the outer defenses.

During this process, the white spots did not solidify. Subjected to an unknown pressure from behind the clouds, the edges of the white spots kept writhing, deforming, trembling, expanding, growing from the size of rice grains to mung beans to soybeans, and then watermelons, etc., never stopping.

Until the thunder behind the clouds gradually faded, and the song over the Hell Formula dwindled.

The mottled white spots among the clouds stopped writhing, their color darkening for a moment.

At that moment, the whole world held its breath.

The next instant, the black clouds began to shake violently. The young wizards gazing at the sky suddenly had the absurd thought of ’the sky having an earthquake.’ Simultaneously, the white spots gleamed brightly, like numerous white lights illuminating a black curtain.

As the sky shook.

A massive tentacle finally pierced through the membrane of the Black Prison World, descending into this domain deemed hopeless by demons.

The tip of the tentacle was adorned with dozens of claw-like protrusions, closed like a clenched fist, opened like blooming flowers, with a fierce, red tongue-like mouthpiece in the center, constantly rotating, spewing out tiny black globes.

With the first, came the second, third, fourth.

In a short time, tens of thousands of ocher tentacles hung between the black clouds. Some were shorter and softer, like snail antennae, retracting into the clouds after corroding massive holes.

Other tentacles were thick and hard, surrounded by a black sheen, resembling tunneling machines corroding through the crystal wall, penetrating the heavy clouds, hanging from the sky. The torn black clouds scattered like shredded fabric all over the sky. After many clouds shattered, they turned into sparse black mist, trying to patch up the holes.

But the tentacles were too many and too large.

The black mist could not seal those gaps; instead, it concealed many tentacles, making the wizards and demons on the ground battlefield see only numerous giant dragons weaving through the cloud sea, without seeing their heads or tails, only their massive bodies roaming the sky.

”Aah!”

”Aah aah aah!!”

As the black clouds were destroyed, the distant and lingering cries became clearer. The sky seemed like a skin full of water, bulging downwards, with more water accumulating on the skin, yet the skin’s capacity was limited.

Finally, upon reaching a certain limit, the holes eroded by the tentacles began to connect thinly. The ’skin’ was finally torn open, the sky broke, and the clouds split, revealing the radiant starry sky behind and a massive, whale-like head.

That head was covered in lumps and wrinkles, the lumps concentrated under the jaw, elongated into fine tendrils, those tendrils were the tentacles hanging from the Black Prison sky; most of the wrinkles were atop the head, filled densely with eyes.

In front of the Black Prison Castle, the hundreds of columns standing on the Hell Formula and the Eye of Sauron atop them became laughable compared to this Giant Beast.

Between the folds and lumps was a wide, seemingly boundless giant mouth.

It opened slightly, revealing fangs sharp as blades, flickering cold white light. At the end of the white light was a uvula, like a fleshy tolling bell, shivering as a long, low drone reverberated throughout the world.

”Aah!!”

”Aah aah aah!!”

”Bayonsey... Moange!!”

”Leviathan... is here!!!”

...

...

Black Prison Castle.

On the walls of the inner, middle, and outer fortress.

The hissing sounds from the young wizards were ceaseless, even though many wizards had experienced pioneering in the New World, none had ever seen such a gigantic creature descend with such grandeur.

Magic always surpasses people’s imagination.

”Leviathan,”

Professor Yao stood on the walls, watching the thousands of giant tentacles hanging from the sky, and the massive whale-like figure beyond the torn clouds, the pipe in his mouth slightly tilted, yet no smoke arose, clearly his inner turmoil was not as calm as his surface. Just like his tone, filled with a hint of reminiscence:

”Long time no see... It’s grown even bigger.”

The surrounding young wizards heard this and cast awestruck glances at the dean of Jiuyou Academy.

Leviathan is a legendary Giant Beast, famed for its brutality and strength in the Star Sea before many renowned Big Wizards emerged. After being expelled by the Mage Alliance, this gigantic creature had vanished from the wizards’ sight for a long time, with only occasional news reaching the pioneering teams at the New World’s edges through interactions with native Divine Spirits.

Mostly consisting of tales of Leviathan destroying worlds, devouring civilizations.

Its actions have taken on a legendary quality.

Alliance’s Big Wizards assess that even if Leviathan hasn’t yet attained the status of ’Legend,’ it is close enough, calling it a ’giant,’ without any inconsistency.

Giant means exceptionally large.

In Professor Yao’s view, Leviathan’s majesty has already surpassed him. With the momentum breaking the boundary today, this Giant Beast might achieve true Legend status in one swift move.

As for himself, due to health reasons, choosing First University, he has lingered at the edge between giant and legend for too long. So long that he has nearly forgotten his previous identity, forgotten his true form’s appearance.

Suddenly, in Jiuyou Academy’s dean’s mind, a young wizard’s figure emerges, that young fellow seemingly guessed his identity and was scared half to death.

The thought flashed away, the Elder Wizard’s gaze toward the sky also deepened significantly.

”Report!”

A cluster of green flames abruptly appeared beside Dean Yao, flames leaping, revealing a green bird’s silhouette, reporting crisply and loudly:

”Divination Group has discovered, Leviathan is followed by a Demon Alliance Army...”

Professor Yao glanced at it, knowing it was Professor Yi’s pet Green Bird, excellent at delivering messages. He scanned outside the tower, expecting to see Green Bird appearing beside all the Big Wizards in the inner, main, and outer fortress at this moment.
