High School of Demon Hunting

Chapter 1633: Chapter 377: A large urine bubble without weight

”Bang!”

”Bang bang!!”

Several short and intense explosion sounds suddenly erupted, instantly drawing everyone’s attention.

At the edge of the mountain pit where the Black Mountain Goat cub was located, the ground suddenly shook and cracked. Rubble, mixed with sparse magma, gushed out violently, reaching tens of meters high.

In an instant, dust and smoke filled the air, steam rising.

Through the smoke, Zheng Qing vaguely saw several figures, yet couldn’t make them out clearly.

”End of the wind and storm!”

”Great winds arise!”

Two spells landed in the smoke almost simultaneously. It was Zheng Qing and Jiang Yu, worried that the Black Mountain Goat cub was up to some tricks, each summoning great winds in an attempt to disperse the smoke.

The two young wizards instinctively exchanged a glance, then, as if stung by bees, quickly stepped aside and turned their gaze back to where the spells had landed.

The Black Cat let out a gurgling sound from its throat, not knowing whether it was mocking or expressing disdain.

Zheng Qing ignored it.

Elsewhere, the violent and intense wind swept through, as if a water-soaked brush, swiftly wiping away the vision-blocking smoke, revealing the figure of the Black Mountain Goat cub once again.

The four hidden figures in the smoke also became clearly visible to the crowd.

A tall warlock, with a red face that left a deep impression on Zheng Qing; a tall witch, half-closing her eyes, floating in mid-air, surrounded by several Crystal Balls; a swordsman, bent over, hand on his hilt, his figure flickering as if leaving a mirage; and finally a dwarf, clad in Armor, gleaming with bronze light, holding a six-barrel Mechanism Amulet Cannon, with ammo rattling in his hands, giving an unexpected sense of martial power despite his short stature.

”This is...”

Zheng Qing hesitated for a second, immediately turning toward the direction of the blue big fish.

Indeed.

The blue big fish had disappeared at some unknown time, leaving only a young Little Witch at the spot, shrinking under a large cloak, revealing half a head, cautiously looking toward the direction of her teammates.

”It’s that Hunting team.”

Jiang Yu picked up the conversation, looking seriously toward the opposing sides in the distance. Behind her, Zhu Si looked at the Little Witch under the cloak with interest, as if wanting to greet but also a bit worried.

”Their target is that Black Mountain Goat cub.” Zheng Qing realized, seemingly understanding why so many people followed him in one after another.

”The leading warlock is the first son of the Zhang family,” Jiang Yu quickly scrutinized those figures, adding in a low voice with rapid words: ”That’s the eldest brother of Zhang Ji Xin, Zhang Boren... It’s said he formed a hunting team called ’Kunpeng’ to participate in the New World development... Not sure if their appearance here is related to the school’s enlistment order.”

As they spoke, the battle between the Kunpeng Hunting Team and the Black Mountain Goat cub had already begun.

Several Crystal Balls surrounding the female fortune-teller shot out, scattering in all directions, turning into several thin white ribbons, winding towards the Black Mountain Goat cub.

The moon, summoned in advance, shone brightly, reinforcing the snake-like light bands, adding significantly to their power.

The dwarf stood firmly on the ground, the Mechanism Amulet Cannon seemingly turning with a click, casting a faint green light screen, with each of the six barrels firing Fu Bullets of different kinds – expelling evil, shocking, dispelling evil spirits, binding, weakening, stunning, and so on.

For a moment, fierce magical fluctuations arose one after another, rendering the originally dark night sky with brilliant colors.

Zhang Boren and that swordsman did not immediately take action, instead standing on either side, firmly locking down any possible escape routes, creating opportunities for their teammates to capture the Black Mountain Goat.

”Shub-Niggurath!!”

The Black Mountain Goat cub was not passively waiting for death, raising its head and roaring its ancient true name. The black Flame originally burning on one side of its body suddenly erupted under this roar, its slender tongues of flame seeming to gain a Soul, wrapping every corner of its body.

In an instant, it burned off the shiny fur on the other side, raising blisters of maroon flesh. Some sheep wool that hadn’t turned to ashes in the Flame instead soared, transforming into black whip-like tendrils.

Several prisoners still clinging to a glimmer of hope, trying to extract some magic from this Black Mountain Goat, were in the blink of an eye swept up by those writhing whip-like tendrils, becoming resources that were integrated into the maroon flesh mass.

”...Nicolas!!”

A deep, gloomy roar spread from the edge of the deep pit, trembling the entire World, even making the round moon conjured by magic sway in this roar.

”Can’t beat it.”

The Black Cat crouched at Zheng Qing’s feet, looking at the dark creature with rising momentum, as if it could pierce the sky, yet declared with a very certain tone the opposite conclusion:

”That Black Mountain Goat cub, even after complete Differentiation, only has magical fluctuations of a top Registered wizard... But the four Hunters surrounding it are all skilled Registered wizards, with Array reinforcement and seamless coordination... Can’t beat them, definitely can’t beat them.”

The battle indeed unfolded as the Black Cat predicted, with Nicolas’s followers having almost no power to fight back under the constraint and attack of the four Hunters, unable to launch any effective counterattack. After taking dozens of weakening Spells head-on, they were firmly bound by the colorful light ribbons.

The black whip-like tendrils, cut into several segments, scattered around, writhing wildly on the ground like severed snakes, kicking up clouds of dust.

At the edge of the mountain pit, patches of thick green liquid pooled, unclear if it was the Black Mountain Goat’s blood or something else, abandoned even by the Black Prison World as they gathered into pools, roasted a scorched stench by the searing magma.

Zheng Qing involuntarily recalled a line from Journey to the West – the froth might be big but lacks weight – using it to evaluate this imposing Black Mountain Goat seems all too fitting.

”It shouldn’t have chosen to fight here.” The Black Cat shook its head and sighed slightly, ”This is not its home... Fighting is not its forte either.”

Zheng Qing had no disagreement on this point.

The Black Prison is the home for Wizards, with Arrays covering the entire World exerting a certain suppressive force on any non-wizard creatures – including both demons and those ancient followers.

Moreover, the Black Mountain Goat cub is not a combat-specialist ancient follower. Compared to Tingdalous Hunting dogs specializing in hunting or the Star dweller Gigantic Absorption Worms known as ’World Destroyers’, the Black Mountain Goat cub is more like a Priest.

They wander through different Worlds, acting as Shub-Niggurath’s agents, accepting sacrifices offered to Her, substituting Her for worship by believers, devouring those who do not worship Her, spreading the gospel of the Dark Mother.
