Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 532: Chapter 287: From Like to Love (First Update—Seeking Monthly Tickets)

Kenneth Osborne bought a house before the New Year, originally planning to move out right after.

The two had even discussed living together for a while before getting married.

But after the New Year, they’ve been busy with their own things and haven’t found time to decide on the official move-in date.

Lawrence Winters glanced at Kenneth Osborne, wanting to ask him if she should move out with him.

But after looking at him for a while, he still didn’t give her a single glance, seemingly quite angry. Lawrence felt even more displeased and said out of spite, ”...Fine, you move out alone, I’m not moving in with you.”

Kenneth Osborne pressed his lips together, lowering his eyes slightly.

His long, thick lashes covered the complicated emotions in his eyes.

When he decided to move out earlier, he’d completely forgotten Lawrence Winters had promised to live together with him.

Now trying to mend things seemed too late.

His pride wouldn’t let him beg her at this moment, especially since she’d just been laughing and chatting with another man...

Kenneth Osborne slowly lifted his head, smiled self-deprecatingly, ”Hmm, then I’m leaving.”

He didn’t look back, walking alone into the elevator.

Turning around, he closed the elevator door.

As the elevator doors slowly closed, he lifted his head and looked at the helpless Lawrence Winters standing across from him, smiling faintly.

Lawrence Winters was long accustomed to his unparalleled beauty, even more so than seeing Lucas Harlow’s face for the first time.

But at this moment, she was stunned.

The same familiar features, yet when he smiled, her heart felt suddenly struck by a heavy blow.

That bright, dazzling smile, radiant as the morning glow, bright like the evening moon.

It’s like a traveler in the desert suddenly seeing ”the lone smoke straight in the desert, the round sunset over the river” in stunned awe.

It’s like waiting longingly until finally reaching ”the return of apricot blossom spring rain in Jiangnan.”

It’s like the youthful warriors of Wuling, silver saddles on white horses, gallantly riding amidst falling flowers, lightly laughing with a whip in hand.

But also like the lone pillow butterfly, Phoenix sings its farewell; if you’re heartless, then I shall cease.

The elevator doors had been closed for a long time, Kenneth Osborne had long gone, but Lawrence Winters still stood at the elevator entrance, her mind a tumultuous mess.

Like a high-quality precision instrument suddenly jammed due to overuse.

It wasn’t until almost noon when the old Daoist came out of his room, mumbling, ”Angry as you may be, but you mustn’t skip meals?”

He knocked on Nick Zeller’s door, ”Disciple, go wash and prepare the vegetables, I need to make lunch.”

Nick Zeller responded with an ”oh,” came out of his room, and peeked around, ”Where’s Lawrence? Has she reflected deeply?”

The old Daoist snorted, ”Today you really scared her.”

”If you don’t straighten her out, she’s going to fly high!” Nick Zeller thought of Lawrence Winters’ injury, feeling tense, ”This time I must quell her arrogance!”

The old Daoist thought for a moment and said, ”Alright, I won’t meddle. After all, she’s still a girl, too much bloodshed isn’t good, too much will have adverse effects on the Giant Gate Star, also known as the Celestial Doctor Star, and cause fertility issues.”

Upon hearing this, Nick Zeller grew even more anxious, ”That’s even worse, she must be severely punished!”

With that, he went to Lawrence Winters’ room to find her.

Lawrence Winters’ door wasn’t closed, standing at the entrance offered a full view.

Clearly, no one was inside unless she was in the bathroom.

Nick Zeller frowned, calling at the entrance, ”Lawrence? Lawrence? Are you in there?”

There was no response from inside.

After thinking for a moment, Nick Zeller decided to go in, steeling himself as he reached the bathroom door in Lawrence Winters’ bedroom.

Luckily, her bathroom door was also open, and upon looking inside, no one was there.

Where has she gone?

Could she have gone to her mother’s place? Or Kenneth Osborne’s?

Nick Zeller first checked Kenneth Osborne’s room next door to Lawrence Winters’.

Kenneth Osborne’s room wasn’t locked and the door was open, revealing the tidy, well-kept interior.

It was so clean that Nick Zeller couldn’t help but take a few more glances, calling out, ”Osborne, are you in there?”

No one spoke from inside.

Looks like Kenneth Osborne has gone to work.

Nick Zeller then went to Gabrielle Winters’ door, knocking, ”Sis, is Lawrence in your room?”

Gabrielle Winters’ angry voice came from afar within the room, ”No. Why? Don’t tell me she’s run off again!”

As soon as she finished speaking, she had already opened the door, glaring at Nick Zeller with anger.

Seeing her fired up, Nick Zeller stammered, saying, ”Law-Law-Lawrence isn’t here? Could she be in another room?”
