Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 515: Chapter 278: Why Not Eat Meat Porridge? (First Update)

Aiden Sheldon had never seen such cold, emotionless eyes.

His whole body involuntarily shivered.

When those seasoned business moguls united to crush the Sheldon family in the past, Aiden wasn’t even interested enough to pay them a glance.

Yet this young girl of ordinary background made him feel a deeply hidden sense of danger.

Yes, danger.

He could completely sense that this girl truly disliked him and had no intention of ingratiating herself with him.

He had casually blurted out earlier that Lawrence Winters was asking for a WeChat transfer, as if she was really after his WeChat ID...

Now he understood; she was just purely asking for money.

Aiden’s lips twitched, and his tone softened involuntarily. He lowered his voice and said, ”...WeChat transfer, twenty times, for two fish slice porridge and two baskets of pan-fried buns.”

His voice was weak, seemingly tormented by low blood sugar.

Lawrence Winters’ mom, Gabrielle Winters, also had low blood sugar once, but later her uncle Nick Zeller treated her with various Celestial Path Sect remedies.

So Lawrence Winters was very familiar with the symptoms of low blood sugar.

Lawrence pursed his lips and said indifferently, ”After the transfer, I’ll just delete you. Why would I need your WeChat ID? I’m not going to show off on Moments.”

Aiden: ”...”

The intense trading through the night had exhausted him; he was too tired to talk, so he just waved his hand to show he understood.

Lawrence pulled out his phone, scanned Aiden’s WeChat ID, and watched him transfer the money over.

After receiving the transfer, Lawrence deleted his WeChat ID right in front of Aiden, then took out two portions of fish slice porridge and two baskets of pan-fried buns from the food box and placed them on the dining table.

Aiden did not even say thank you, just picked up the chopsticks and started eating the pan-fried buns and fish slice porridge.

Seeing him alright, Lawrence picked up the food box, turned around, and left.

Aiden knew she had gone and did not try to call her back, just continued eating intently.

Lawrence walked out of the breakfast shop and saw a very luxurious extended Rolls-Royce Phantom parked by the roadside.

She took a glance and knew it was the Sheldon family’s car she saw last night at the premiere.

Just then, the car door opened, and a regal middle-aged woman emerged—it was Autumn Stetford, whom she also saw yesterday, Aiden’s wife.

Of course, the Sheldon family’s little princess was also present.

Lawrence knew it was the mother and daughter coming to see Aiden.

She didn’t know why Aiden appeared in their neighborhood and wasn’t interested.

All she wanted now was to leave quickly and stay far away from this family.

Unfortunately, Ruby Sheldon came out of the car, spotted Lawrence, and immediately ran over joyfully, sweetly calling, ”Sister Lawrence! What a coincidence! Seeing you again! We must be destined!”

Lawrence: ”...”

Oh, thank you, but I don’t want to be destined with you.

Still, she managed a smile and said politely, ”Not at all, not at all. My family is still waiting for me to buy breakfast and come back to eat, my apologies.”

Ruby looked a bit disappointed and a little empathetically said, ”Fine, alright, you should hurry back. Gosh, Sister Lawrence, why doesn’t your family go buy breakfast themselves? Making you do it, what if you meet a bad guy? My dad always says the world outside is dangerous, that we girls need to know how to protect ourselves.”

Lawrence’s forehead vein nearly popped, but fortunately, with over ten years of dealing with tough feng shui clients, Ruby Sheldon was not even in the top ten on Lawrence’s list of ”most difficult clients.”

She maintained a graceful smile and complimented Ruby saying, ”Not everyone is as fortunate as Miss Sheldon. My family has many members, our income is also not high, no work means no income, if I don’t come to buy breakfast, who would? Alright, I won’t hold you up any longer, I’ll take my leave now.”

She picked up the food box and strode away.

Ruby watched her back, feeling amazed and said, ”Sister Lawrence is so strong, that food box isn’t small, yet she carries it easily.”

Autumn didn’t even bother to look at Lawrence, simply smiling at her daughter.

When Ruby finished speaking, Autumn finally put an arm around her shoulder and entered the breakfast shop.

She had checked Aiden’s location on her phone this morning and knew he was here.

But entering the breakfast shop, she didn’t see Aiden anywhere.

She couldn’t help but ask the breakfast shop staff.

The staff listened to her describe Aiden’s general appearance and immediately said, ”Yes, a gentleman just came to have breakfast, but we sold out of food. Fortunately, a lady buying breakfast shared hers. You see, the tall lady with very fair skin and exceptionally dark eyes who just left, she’s quite beautiful.”
