Destined Entwining: Capturing My Devoted Beau

Chapter 523: Chapter 282: My Friend Would Take a Knife for Me (First Update)

The man’s pupils shrank suddenly, then he looked at the woman’s figure...

Damn, even more stunning than the drunk woman from earlier!

He squinted his eyes, pretended to be drunk as he got up from the ground, rubbed his knee, and glared, shouting: ”Who are you?! What right do you have to meddle in our marital affairs?!”

Lawrence Winters took out his phone and coldly said to the man, ”Who cares who I am? Married? Do you even know who you are?! If I called you a bastard, would you dare to answer?!”

The man didn’t think much, being used to quarreling, he immediately yelled: ”Of course I would! You think your granddaddy here wouldn’t dare answer?!”

”So, you’re admitting it, huh, you scoundrel!” Lawrence Winters waved his phone, ”Already recorded, want a bit of fame online?”

The man’s mouth twitched, gave Lawrence Winters a cold sneer, and threw out a line: ”We’ll see about that!”

Turned and ran out of the bar.

Lawrence Winters was alone, so naturally, she wouldn’t chase after to fight.

She immediately turned back to support Sister Three Billion, saying: ”You’re so drunk, come back with me.”

Sister Three Billion feebly nodded, her chest filled with the smell of alcohol, she was about to puke.

Ryan Sheldon stood beside dumbfounded for a long time before recognizing Lawrence Winters, immediately saying with surprise: ”Miss Winters?! Do you know her? Is she your friend?”

Lawrence Winters saw it was Ryan Sheldon, having witnessed him stop that bastard earlier, her impression of him improved slightly, she nodded and said: ”She’s my college roommate, she just called me to come pick her up.”

Ryan Sheldon still felt a little uneasy, said: ”Where are you taking her? How about I come with you?”

Lawrence Winters originally wanted to say no, but seeing Ryan Sheldon was tall and strong, thought he could be useful as some labor force.

She immediately changed her mind: ”We’re going to the parking lot, did you drive?”

”I did! By the way, Miss Winters, your driving skills are amazing! When can we have a race? I won’t waste your time for nothing! I can pay you at the highest hourly rate for hiring a racing coach abroad! — Five thousand, or ten thousand an hour, name your price!”

Ryan Sheldon, remembering his beloved racing career, got even more excited, looking at Lawrence Winters with more fervor than he did at Sister Three Billion earlier.

Sister Three Billion sneered, shook her head and said: ”Lawrence, you’re something else... looks like someone is sending money your way...”

Lawrence Winters also laughed, noncommittally said: ”Let’s head out first, seeing your state, I can’t carry you if you collapse.”

”I can carry her! I’m fine with it!” Ryan Sheldon’s attention returned to Sister Three Billion.

Hearing her sneer earlier, Ryan Sheldon felt like his ears were tingling.

Lawrence Winters rolled her eyes, ”Let’s go.”

She tossed Sister Three Billion’s bag to Ryan Sheldon to carry, then half-supported, half-embraced Sister Three Billion, making their way to the bar door.

Ryan Sheldon hurried ahead to help them open the door, stepping aside to let them through.

Like a small attendant, he followed beside them, attentively serving them.

Reaching the parking lot, they needed to find their car first.

Lawrence Winters parked at a relatively distant spot, while Ryan Sheldon’s car was at the nearest ”valet parking” spot.

Lawrence Winters told Ryan Sheldon to support Sister Three Billion, said: ”I’ll go get my car from over there, just wait a moment,”

Ryan Sheldon nodded eagerly, placed his hand on Sister Three Billion’s shoulder, bearing half her weight, his face slightly red.

He was just glad it was nighttime, the parking lot lights were dim, so no one noticed.

Lawrence Winters walked toward where she parked, but soon stopped in her tracks.

The sides of the path were packed with cars, the light from the rear-side casting long shadows of these cars like two rows of lurking beasts.

Amidst these car shadows, she saw the shadow of a person.

One, two, three, four. And probably one behind her.

Five in total.

Alright, very well.

If her guess was right, these were the helpers that bastard brought earlier, right?

Thinking of this, she felt a cold sweat for Sister Three Billion, but also thankful.

If she hadn’t come today, Sister Three Billion’s ordeal tonight would have been unimaginable.

But she did come, sparing Sister Three Billion from a nightmarish fate akin to Hell for women.

So, who says she brings bad luck to others?

She clearly brings good fortune!

Lawrence Winters, praising herself internally for being ”awesome,” stopped in her tracks, letting out a light laugh, ”Come out, won’t you? Five grown men, dealing with little old me, and still need to hide and sneak around?”
