Warhammer Divine Throne

Seeing Richard’s legitimate son Charles also betraying in front of the two armies, the knights stirred in turmoil, with some remaining silent, others cursing angrily, and sighs were unending.

Is this what chaos looks like?

Laine gestured for everyone to calm down, pressed his hands down in the air, and shouted towards the opposite side: ”Knight brothers of Leonais! Please hear me out!”

Laine’s Standard Bearer Armand approached from behind, holding a plate covered with silk.

Laine nodded, drawing a sword from his waist: ”Gentlemen, do you recognize what this is?”

”Is this... the Unfailing Light?”

”This is the sword of the great Saint Landuin!”

”Why is it in Laine’s hands?”

The nobles of Musillon couldn’t possibly fail to recognize Landuin’s sword; they exchanged incredulous whispers.

Soon, the group of knights reached a consensus.

”Thief!”

”Robber!”

”Grave robber!”

Seeing these people unwilling to acknowledge it, Laine sneered continuously. He took a nearly four-meter-long cavalry lance from his escort and raised it high above his head. In the spring sunlight, the lance’s shaft was adorned with High Elf runes, emanating a sacred glow like the lake under moonlight. The Lake Fairy’s divine light enveloped the lance’s tip: ”This lance is called the Unbreakable Lake Light! Do you knights recognize it?”

This time, the knights in Mathew Bade’s camp could no longer remain calm. They gradually realized something, their faces turned pale, and they whispered while trembling with shock. The former Musillon knightly nobles were surprised beyond measure, for the last appearance of this lance was centuries ago. Now that the Unbreakable Lake Light reappeared, what did it signify?

”That’s right! It is the Unbreakable Lake Light, the lance of legend belonging to Saint Landuin!”

”This lance can only be wielded by someone of the highest virtue!”

”The Unbreakable Lake Light can only be obtained by those recognized by Landuin!”

”Landuin’s family creed once stated that the Unbreakable Lake Light could only be used by his heir. Now that this lance appears in Laine Macado’s hands, does this mean...”

”Laine has been recognized by Landuin as the heir to his will and virtue!”

A knight exclaimed: ”So, we are actually opposing his will?”

”Exactly! Lord Laine has inherited Lord Landuin’s will and virtue and received his appointment; he is the true Duke of Musillon!” Francois seized the opportunity, galloping forward, and his father-in-law directly pulled off the silk on Armand’s plate: ”Look again, what is this?!”

The golden Duke of Musillon’s Crown appeared before everyone’s eyes, stirring up countless stormy waves!

”That is the duke’s crown!”

”Indeed! This is the duke’s crown, knight brothers of Leonais! Now, the Duke of Musillon’s Crown, the Knight’s Sword Unfailing, and the cavalry lance Unbreakable Lake Light are all here with Laine. This is the Lady’s will; this is Landuin’s will!” Francois shouted: ”This signifies that the greatest Lake Knight has chosen his heir. Laine Macado is the true Duke of Musillon!”

”The true... Duke of Musillon!”

”The true... Duke of Musillon!”

Cries echoed afar as the knights under Mathew Bade’s command suddenly realized the shameful mistake they had made, and how they had tarnished the glory of their ancestors!

And Mathew Bade’s face darkened instantly. He wished to prevent these knights from defecting but couldn’t, as the facts were concrete and indisputable.

”Laine is the true Duke of Musillon! We have all been deceived by this half-breed Mathew Bade!”

”Fraud! He deceived us!”

”We are the honorable Musillon people; we only swear loyalty to Landuin and his heir!”

”Abandon him! Laine Macado is our true duke!”

In a frenzy, these knightly nobles found their silence, breaking away from Mathew Bade’s army and aligning with the Knightly Army of Brittania.

”We hereby swear allegiance to the true Duke of Musillon, Landuin’s heir, Laine Macado! Never to forget!”

Their voices surged like the rising sea, and at this moment, Laine finally smiled: ”Very good! Knights who have returned to the right path, you have chosen wisely, never forgetting the Lady’s teachings and glory bestowed upon us!”

”Now, raise your cavalry lances and fight for me!”

”Yes!”
