Chapter 1138: Chapter 493: Margaret Knight Order Grand Tutor

This knight was dressed luxuriously, wearing a doublet with over a dozen buttons, and the lining of the doublet had thin straps that connected to the top of his lean pants. A tight outer garment was worn over the doublet, accompanied by tight pants imprinted with red and white stripes and heavy boots. His eyes were sharp like an eagle’s, his well-groomed brown crew cut was precise, his eye sockets were deep, and a prominent nose gave him an air of authority. The wrinkles at the corners of his eyes and cheeks indicated he was no longer young.

Everyone knew he was the current Grand Master (also known as the Grand Tutor) of the Margaret Knight Order, Enzo Moretti.

Enzo Moretti wore a renowned knight’s sword at his waist—the Triumphal Eagle. This knight’s sword bore blessings from more than five Old World deities and was stained with the blood of Jafar, King of Arabi.

The expression of the Grand Master of the Margaret Knight Order was calm yet severe. He surveyed the courtyard, and upon noticing the Sea God Trident Family Emblem on Fedmond, a fleeting hint of ferocity flashed in Enzo’s eyes.

The Grand Master exuded an imposing presence, clearly an experienced Legendary Powerhouse. Though he might have no further breakthroughs, the battle-hardened experience and the aura of bloodshed he accumulated over decades made him formidable. Fedmond knew that defeating him quickly would be impossible.

”This is the Grand Master of the Knight Order, Enzo Moretti. He might be the most outstanding Grand Master in decades. Throughout his fifty-plus years of service, he has trained countless excellent knights. Many of these knights have joined the Flame Sun Knight Order, the Flying Eagle Knight Order, and the Knight Order of the Spear of Justice,” Amancio Perez stood up voluntarily, introducing Enzo Moretti’s background to everyone, then smiled ambiguously, ”I suppose Lord Laine and Lord Fedmond will have much to discuss with Lord Enzo Moretti, after all, you are all knights.”

”Our banner may not have fluttered on the battlefield for centuries, but we have not been idle,” Enzo Moretti acknowledged his identity, nodding. Amancio Perez’s ascension to the leader of the Estalia Merchant Alliance wasn’t solely due to his intellect; surreptitious support from the Margaret Knight Order also played a crucial role.

The Margaret Knight Order possessed three War Goddess Academies in the Old World, namely the Margaret War Goddess Academy, the Kakasong War Goddess Academy, and the Nuer War Goddess Academy. These academies provided recruits and ensured the allegiance of numerous military nobility to the Knight Order’s cause.

As a military order, the Margaret Knight Order recruited new soldiers from among knight apprentices, assimilated new members from graduates of the War Goddess Academies. The Knight Order not only controlled military academies and mercenary corps, but its members also included merchants from several merchant associations and politicians from various levels. The Flame Sun Knight Order, Flying Eagle Knight Order, and Knight Order of the Spear of Justice served as its sub-orders. Many knights who passed the tests secretly joined their mother order, which was called the Inner Ring Knight Order by those knights.

Finally, the person was found, Laine frowned. Without identifying the root of the problem, it would have been very troublesome. Now that Grand Master Enzo Moretti was located, the matter could be resolved more smoothly.

The Grand Master of the Margaret Knight Order nodded towards Amancio Perez. He didn’t seem inclined to sit down; instead, Enzo Moretti gripped the sword hilt and lifted his chin, ”I heard that you knights from Brittania wanted to find me, even involving the Empire. Speak up, why are you looking for me? Make it quick, my time is precious.”

”Our intentions are quite clear,” Laine also stood up. Holding a wine glass, he approached Enzo Moretti and smiled, ”You know why we’re here.”

”...You know that I know why you’re here, and yet you still wish to meet with me?” Enzo Moretti could sense the intimidating pressure emanating from Laine. As a Grand Master of the Knight Order, he understood fully well how terrifying the power of Laine, as a Divine Chosen Champion and human hero, truly was.

”You know that I know that you know why we’re here, which is precisely why we are meeting,” Laine stated calmly, the Light of Spiritual Power flashing in his eyes, ”Otherwise, I wouldn’t have come to see you specifically.”

”I know that you know that I know that you know why we’re here, so you should be aware of what we aim for. This is the ultimate goal of our Knight Order,” Enzo Moretti showed no intention of yielding to a Holy Sanctuary Powerhouse, ”You can defeat me, you can even kill me, but our mission is not yet ended. We shall assuredly achieve the ultimate victory! My death will not be the conclusion of everything.”

”May we speak privately?” Laine whispered, as Holy Grail Knight Fedmond also rose and came to Enzo Moretti’s side, ”We need to discuss.”

”Hmm... very well.” Enzo Moretti understood the situation was becoming complicated; the Margaret Knight Order’s plot to seize the Sea God Trident had been disclosed, and now the Holy Grail Knights were involved.

The three knights headed towards the secret chamber outside the banquet hall, disappearing into the corridor.

All of this was witnessed by Veronica and Amancio, with the Jialan Witch nodding in approval. Veronica, dressed in a latte lace floral-embroidered low-cut, form-fitting dress showcasing her long, beautiful legs adorned in flesh-toned crystal stockings, her toenails painted rose, and wearing black peep-toe high heels, looked stunningly alluring. Seeing Laine and others leave, she immediately picked up a wine glass, ”Mr. Amancio, let me toast to you for the new trade agreement and the opening of new trade routes.”

”Hahaha~ Thank you for the congratulations, Lady Veronica, please do,” Amancio was somewhat surprised, but as a shrewd businessman filled with resources and information, he was aware of Veronica and Laine’s intimate relationship. Thus, this affluent merchant gentlemanly raised his glass and graciously accepted.

Veronica and Amancio downed a glass of wine together, the sweet, refreshing, and invigorating sherry added a blush to Veronica’s sweet complexion. She smiled and said, ”I wonder if Mr. Amancio needs some magic potions and magic items here?”

”Oh?!” Amancio’s interest was piqued, the affluent merchant nodded repeatedly, ”Magic potions? Such items are scarce anywhere in the Old World. As a female elder of the Jialan Council, does Lady Veronica have a stable supply chain?”

”I possess a complete Wizard Tower, my colleague, Jialan Member of Parliament Teresa Trovik, will soon have one too. Unfortunately, we sometimes lack some supply channels for raw materials, especially biological materials,” Veronica’s smile was radiant.

”Lady Veronica, you’ve truly found the right person. The Estalia Merchant Alliance has many supply channels for biological materials, many, but we lack qualified wizards,” Amancio’s interest surged further. Magic potions? Magic items? Such treasures are priceless! The challenge is finding supply channels!

At crucial moments, a bottle of magic potion or a magic item could be life-saving! Plus, the high profits from selling magical creations can drive any merchant to madness!

”Then it seems we can talk~” Veronica nodded, the Jialan Witch grinned like a red fox, ”It seems we need each other!”

”Indeed! Miss Veronica, please believe in the credibility of our Estalia Merchant Alliance. We will be your best partners!” The once somewhat cloudy eyes of Amancio lit up, ”Magic items? That’s wonderful, we’ll give you a price you’ll be satisfied with!”

...This is the dividing line for yet another completed transaction...

Meanwhile, outside the Eastern Palace, an elaborately decorated Golden Lion Carriage, escorted by dozens of Flying Eagle Knights, stopped at the entrance. The gilded curtain was drawn open, and with the aid of an attendant, Duke Rubio-the Sunwatcher of Margaret stepped down from the carriage.

As the Duke disembarked, a young noble, appearing no more than seventeen or eighteen, eagerly leaped from the carriage, his face flushed, and expression filled with excitement, ”Heavens, it’s Lord Laine! Could it truly be Lord Laine himself who has come to Margaret? Father! You weren’t deceiving me, were you?! By Mirmidia! Is it really Laine Macado?”

”Calm down, Juan, my son,” Duke Rubio-the Sunwatcher of Margaret shook his head, slightly exasperated, ”You’re showing too much excitement, which isn’t befitting for a scion of the Sunwatcher Family.”

”Come, this is a rare chance, let us meet the Lady of the Lake’s Divine Chosen Champion.”

”Let us assess whether this renowned human hero is worthy of your devotion!”
