Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 1133: Chapter 491: Sharing Life Experience_2

”A pound of wheat sells for eighty Copper Coins in the rich Winford Duchy, but in Nord it can be sold for five Silver Coins.” Laine nodded with closed eyes, ”But if the trade route is cut off, Amancio Perez won’t earn a single Copper Plate, while your family and your Sea God Fleet can undoubtedly achieve this level, so we can be sure that Amancio definitely wants to act as a coordinator, and that’s for sure.”

Fidmund couldn’t contain his inner jubilation, feeling that he had been recognized.

”However, that’s still not the whole issue, Fidmund, we need to think broader.” Laine interlocked his fingers, turning his gaze to the bustling Estalia market, where numerous exotic treasures from the Old World were on sale, ”Boldro Port is a renowned deep-water port, and Amancio Perez is the leader of the Estalia Merchant Alliance. If your Duke of Boldro’s Family can open this trade route and reach a trade agreement with Amancio, just think of how much profit could be reaped.”

”A win-win trade! Father certainly won’t oppose it!” Fidmund’s eyes brightened, and he excitedly got up and paced around, ”Yes! Yes! Right, after the Invincible Fleet’s destruction, trade between Boldro and Estalia ceased, but if we can restore this trade route, it would bring at least five hundred Gold Crowns in profit annually! Yes! This is a win-win deal! That merchant couldn’t possibly refuse; not only is he someone to be drawn in, but he will also become our friend and trade partner!”

”You are Bodric’s eldest legitimate son; only you can handle signing the trade agreement.” Laine nodded with satisfaction, ”That’s what a merchant does.”

”And the Margaret Knight Order? Originally, these knights had nothing to do with us, but they overstepped! They even commanded those Rogue Knights to come and steal the Sea God Trident!” After figuring out this issue, Fidmund suddenly fell into a dilemma, ”What would the Knight Order Grand Master say to us? The moment they decided to steal the Sea God Trident, our hostile outcome was predestined.”

”Faced with the Margaret Knight Order, an underground organization hidden for hundreds of years, we must remain cautious because if we take one wrong step, we might trigger a full-scale war.” Laine acknowledged Fidmund’s viewpoint, ”Therefore, we need to analyze this meeting from the perspective of the Margaret Knight Order. First, why would the Margaret Knight Order and we come to arms, what’s the primary reason, what is the main conflict?”

”They instructed the Rogue Knights to steal the Sea God Trident.” Fidmund immediately responded.

”So why would the Margaret Knight Order instruct Rogue Knights to steal the Trident, causing this conflict and ultimately the fundamental conflict prompting our expedition to Estalia?” Laine continued to ask.

”The Margaret Knight Order believes that obtaining the Sea God Trident can help them in their expedition to Arabi, and the ultimate goal of this knight order is to conquer Arabi, to take the initiative and eliminate all southern threats completely.” Fidmund pondered earnestly, ”Wait... maybe we can talk with that Grand Master; we’re not really fighting to the death!”

”Exactly!” Laine nodded seriously, ”Remember the vampire from the Lemya family that you killed the other day? This is evidently the vampire’s plot; I have a theory that the rumor that the Sea God Trident could aid the Margaret Knight Order in their Arabi expedition was spread by these vampires.”

”The Undead are always so detestable!” Fidmund looked down, ”I mean... Lord Laine, if we follow your analysis, perhaps the Margaret Knight Order isn’t our enemy.”

”Continue, Fidmund, continue.” Laine kept nodding, applying one thing from another; Fidmund was growing up quickly.

”The goal of the Margaret Knight Order is to expedition Arabi, which fundamentally doesn’t conflict with us. So, we merely need to inform Knight Order Grand Master Enzo Moretti that not only can the Sea God Trident not assist them in their Arabi expedition, but rather, if someone without the Sea God Bloodline dares to use this Divine Artifact, they would invite the Sea God’s Fury. Enzo Moretti should know what choice to make.” Fidmund quickly grasped Laine’s meaning fully.

”Not only that.” Laine continued, as the Count stood up, ”Fidmund, don’t forget, we in Brittania also have two Knightly Expeditionary Armies in Arabi, from this perspective, we are natural allies!”

”If they persist against us, not only will the Margaret Knight Order not gain the help of the Sea God Trident, but they will also unnecessarily make a formidable enemy, and they will have to face the pressure of the Sea God Fleet in the future. But if everyone sits down and talks it out, we will realize that this is just a misunderstanding, we are not enemies but friends, with uncontradicted goals. During the Red Flame Grand Expedition, we once fought side by side as knight brothers, and now, we can continue this friendship.”

These words settled, and the cloud lingering over Fidmund’s heart finally dissipated. In such a complex relationship, Laine unraveled the intricacies, analyzed one by one, utilizing his prestige and complex personal relationships, borrowing strength and analyzing the core interests involved, and within this whirlpool, Laine had already found the correct direction and solution to the problem.
