The dinner was very lavish, featuring main dishes like Pellegrini, cod, Margaret ham, wine, shrimp, oysters, rich meat soup, and Estalian seafood rice.

Count Glamorgan Laine, accompanied by Baron Bodlukes Fidmund, female courtier Veronica, and Temple Knight Alfred, attended this meeting.

At the dining table, Laine and Amancio talked face-to-face, the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy cheerfully reminisced about the history of friendly relations between the two countries. Laine sincerely pointed out that Brittania and Estalia share close ties, and when Margaret was invaded, the first party Estalia sought help from was the Knight Kingdom. The two sides had established a deep friendship during the Red Flame Grand Expedition, and in these dark times, with the Sea God Trident stolen, Laine’s presence here held special significance.

Laine emphasized that while today’s international situation and bilateral relations have undergone significant changes, some aspects remain unchanged. First, both Brittania and Estalia are compatriots of humanity with an unchanging desire for peace. The Brittania people have always seen Estalians as close partners and former comrades-in-arms. The people of both countries share a special cordial relationship, which the Brittania Knights, represented by Laine, will inherit and carry forward as a valuable asset.

Secondly, the nature of mutually beneficial win-win cooperation has remained unchanged. Laine pointed out that the Knight Kingdom and the Southern Realm have strong complementary advantages in their economies, offering broader spaces for cooperation on many issues.

Thirdly, a small number of unstable elements have always attempted to influence and undermine relations between the two countries. Laine hoped that both sides could set aside past grievances, work hand-in-hand, and jointly maintain the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of their relationship, constantly exploring new areas of cooperation and nurturing new growth points.

The leader of the Estalia Merchant Alliance, Amancio Perez, expressed deep agreement with Laine’s views. The over-sixty-year-old tycoon earnestly stated his hope that both countries would strongly advance more exchanges and cooperation across various fields. The Merchant Alliance is willing to enter into more cooperative and trade agreements with the Boldro Duchy and Count Glamorgan’s domain, further strengthening strategic communication and cooperation with Brittania to jointly promote trade prosperity.

Subsequently, Baron Bodlukes Fidmund reached a series of trade intentions with the Estalia Merchant Alliance, as Boldro Duchy agreed to resume trade relations with Margaret.

The dinner proceeded in a friendly atmosphere. Amancio expressed close attention to the theft of the family heirloom Sea God Trident of the Duke of Boldro’s Family, earnestly stating that the Merchant Alliance will provide all possible assistance to ensure the return of the divine artifact to its rightful owner.

This seemed to establish a certain tacit understanding. Fidmund, dressed in formal attire, nodded silently to himself.

Seeing the beaming tycoon, Fidmund was well aware that this leader of the Merchant Alliance often incited Estalian nobles to engage in localized warfare with Brittania, a situation that had deeply affected both the Kakasong Duchy and the Borelion Duchy.

Despite the tycoon’s seemingly sincere smile, he was at least aware of the Sea God Trident theft incident, and quite possibly a participant. Fidmund had discussed this matter with Laine.

Intelligence revealed that a well-equipped Mercenary Corps with numerous firearms was expected to rendezvous and deliver goods to the rogue Knights on the Moros Plains. If Amancio was not involved in this, Laine and Fidmund’s judgment was unlikely. Although the Margaret Knight Order, hidden for centuries as an underground organization, might not lack funds, a transaction of this significant amount clearly required someone to help cover it up.

Exactly what role Amancio played in the Sea God Trident theft was unclear, but he was definitely not innocent.

Observing the sincere smile on the old man’s face, Fidmund recalled Laine’s guidance.

”Sometimes we only need to say eight sentences because we all know deep down that there are ten, and that’s enough.”

Indeed, that was enough, Fidmund silently repeated to himself, raising his glass: ”Mr. Amancio, let us drink this toast to your good health.”

”Certainly, let us drink this toast for the future prosperity of Boldro and Margaret, Lord Fidmund.” Amancio laughed heartily, also raising his silver wine cup. The tycoon said meaningfully, ”I apologize for not sending people to greet you earlier. Let any minor past displeasures be gone with the wind, please.”

”Please.” Despite still feeling somewhat uncomfortable, Fidmund drank a glass of sherry with Amancio.

As the fine wine went down, a small displeasure was thus resolved. From then on, the Duke of Boldro’s Family and the Estalia Merchant Alliance would be trade partners, meaning fewer enemies and more allies for the family.

Is this what diplomacy means? The Holy Grail Knight suddenly gained a fresh insight into everything.

This feeling isn’t bad either!

After three rounds of toasting and five courses, the second guest scheduled for the meeting arrived. Under the guidance of the Priestess of the War Goddess Mirmidia, a knight appearing around forty came before the gathering.
