Late night, Estalia’s Cod Inn, deluxe suite.

This room is the best room in the inn, but it’s just a slightly larger room of about thirty square meters, divided into a living room and a bedroom with a screen, apart from the somewhat luxurious decorations, there’s nothing particularly special about it.

The Dark Elf is only wearing a thin red velvet nightgown, lying back on the soft bed with her eyes closed, her face flushed red, her body languid like a lazy cat, enjoying the lingering sensations.

Laine gently applied ointment on Ollica’s face. With the aid of medication, the swelling on the Dark Elf’s face had mostly subsided, and the claw marks left by the Vampire had healed. Laine smiled, pinched the Dark Elf’s cheek, and then gave her smooth, tender face a peck: ”There, now there won’t be any scars.”

”Hmm~” The Dark Elf was still immersed in the bath she shared with Laine, feeling her legs weak and powerless, Ollica clung to Laine with fondness, then reached into a gilded iron box to retrieve a pair of white thigh-high stockings and lace garter belt. She extended a long, straight, beautiful leg, slipped the garter over her jade-like foot, and slowly pulled the stocking up her foot, wrapping her supple calf bit by bit, until the stocking reached midway up her thigh, fastening the buckle lightly.

Soon, the Dark Elf Maid finished dressing herself in the nightgown, snuggled into Laine’s embrace, inhaling the pleasant aroma of her master’s Spiritual Energy, and shut her eyes.

”You actually encountered High-Rank Vampires.” Laine, instead of feeling sleepy, sat at the head of the bed, furrowing his eyebrows, and gently stroked the spine of the Dark Elf Maid in his arms, then turned towards Veronica, who had finished her bath and was lying sideways on the sofa reading a book: ”Things are getting a little complicated. Ollica has exhausted her Magic Power and needs time to replenish it, and Alfred needs to recuperate from his injuries. If we had gone to the inn and arranged for them to go to the farmhouse, it would have been better.”

Veronica was reclining on the sofa chair, reading a High Elf Light Magic Book, wearing a light brown silk literary pleated dress. Her waist, tiny enough to be encircled, was beautifully outlined by a ribbon. A pair of warm, white, graceful, rounded legs peeked through the slit in the skirt.

Upon hearing Laine’s words, the Jialan Witch gathered her dark brown hair into a ponytail behind her head. Her ivory skin and intelligent, agreeable face lifted as she jeered: ”What’s wrong? Do you feel sorry for your childhood friend and your close maid?”

”Alfred has the Holy Shield Skill, he won’t die.” Laine looked at Veronica, sitting about three meters away, and smiled: ”What do you think?”

”Give it up, my Great Knight. Even if we swapped your old nephew, we’d face the same dilemma. Do you think fighting a Cyclops is any easier than dealing with High-Rank Vampires?” Veronica placed the High Elf Magic Book on the table, her tone filled with irony: ”You think without our coordination and your ability to drive off the Cyclops with sheer force, your old nephew could defeat the Cyclops with a Paladin and a Dark Elf in five minutes? It only depends on the battle prowess, dear. If it were you against the High-Rank Vampire, and I blocked the path, you wouldn’t need long to slay her.”

Laine’s gaze drifted from the ceiling to the light yellow Magic Lamp, contemplated a moment, and showed a bitter smile: ”Maybe you’re right, Veronica.”

”As for the latter events, you shouldn’t worry too much. Duke Boldro Bodrick and his Sea God Knights will land and solve that group of Rogue Knights. We only need to follow him in a charge and head back to Brittania.” Veronica yawned, stretched lazily, her tone carrying a slight warning: ”Laine, we’d better complete our task and leave here immediately. If things turn out as you expect, and the Margaret Knight Order still exists, I’d advise you to avoid these murky waters. This mission is commissioned by Duke Bodrick. We don’t need to pay too high a price for him.”

”If I could, I certainly wouldn’t want to stir trouble, but since the Lemya Vampires have appeared, I can’t stand by as they incite a human civil war, lurking in the knights’ midst, can I?” Laine knew Veronica didn’t care about these matters. Her only concern was acquiring the Sea God Trident and then returning to claim her reward. However, Laine’s strong sense of duty and mission made him feel he couldn’t ignore these issues: ”We must clean up the problems before considering leaving.”

”Alright, no matter what, you’re my man. If you must, I’ll assist you.” Veronica smiled self-mockingly: ”Who made me fancy you?”

”Thank you.” Laine felt warmth inside. Veronica always stood by him on vital matters. The Jialan Witch had a sharp tongue, but she understood what to prioritize on crucial issues.

Perhaps they had talked for a while, Veronica adjusted her posture, sitting cross-legged on the sofa chair, raising a long-standing query: ”Speaking of which, the Lemya family Vampires? What’s that? Vampires have family distinctions?”
