Chapter 1113: Chapter 483: Cyclops

Staring at the Cyclops in front of her, the mature and alluring Witch swallowed hard. Even though she was at the Peak of Legendary Tier, she still felt an instinctive fear towards the Cyclops.

This fear did not come from the Cyclops’ towering stature or robust muscles, but from the Caster’s sensitivity to the Magic Wind.

The Cyclops is a mutant variety of Minotaur among Beastmen. In the corruption of Chaos Energy toward the Mortal World, some Beastmen that should have turned into Minotaurs experienced enhanced mutations, becoming even taller, with stronger builds. However, as a cost, their intelligence was weakened, leaving them with only one eye, causing the Giant Beast to be nearly blind, relying solely on instincts for hunting and destruction.

Why then, does the Caster fear the Cyclops?

Because the Cyclops’ eye is not an ordinary beast’s eye, but the Eye of Chaos. In the mutation of Chaos, this eye’s vision is poor, barely recognizing shapes and thus seeing a blurry world. Instead, the Cyclops can clearly see the eternally changing Magic Wind and the dazzling spectrum within the Subspace.

Therefore, the presence of a Caster in the Cyclops’ eyes is akin to a street lamp on a dim avenue, a guiding star in the night sky. To the Cyclops, Casters are Michelin meals, and they will stop at nothing to force Casters into close combat with it. Its strong physique, sensitivity to Spells, and formidable Magic Resistance would cause the Caster a lot of suffering, as most Casters are not skilled in close combat except for a few.

Veronica, when she was just an Ordinary Witch, witnessed in Hawk Territory an Official Witch being roared and swallowed whole by a Cyclops, leaving a deep impression on her young mind. Fortunately, with Laine by her side, Veronica took a deep breath to overcome fear and began to recite a Spell, ready for battle.

”Uwah!” The Cyclops furiously charged out from the farmhouse building, its Eye of Chaos locked onto Veronica’s figure, wide jaws open, dripping with putrid saliva. In its eyes, the beautiful Witch is an unparalleled delicacy, a grand meal after consuming several tasteless iron canisters!

”Seems like I’m in for another battle,” Laine gripped his Warhammer tightly, his tone filled with cold anger: ”We couldn’t save these innocent civilians, but we can avenge them.”

”Fireball Technique!” Veronica didn’t respond to Laine’s words; instead, the Jialan Witch raised her hand, a massive Fire Elemental Gas Mass condensed in the air, propelled by the Jialan Witch’s Magic Spell directly towards the Cyclops, leaving a scorching scent and a long trail in the air.

At this time, the Cyclops exhibited unimaginable agility, as Veronica just unleashed the Fireball Technique, the Cyclops immediately side-stepped, dodging the fireball, which whizzed over its shoulder, demolishing a nearby wooden house.

”Damn!” Veronica spat lightly, understanding how difficult the enemy is, as the Cyclops is extremely sensitive to magic.

She focused her gaze on the ground.

Gotcha!

”Meet your fate!” Laine stepped forward, eyes fixed on the enemy ahead. His speed was so swift, as the Cyclops evaded, Laine had already rushed under its legs, sweeping his Warhammer across, hitting the Cyclops’ calf.

”Crack~” Laine’s heavy strike is not one a mortal can withstand. The lightning-flashing Warhammer’s head smashed the bent tree branch in the Cyclops’ hand to bits, continuing relentlessly onto the Cyclops’ body.

”Uwah! Leg... pain... meat... eat!!!” The sound of a bone fracturing led this Fierce Beast to shout uncontrollably. Compared to Veronica, the Cyclops felt excessive danger when sensing Laine’s origin, as a silver flash, evoking fear in the Giant Beast.

But the Cyclops is not something easily taken down. Its strong muscles effectively countered Laine’s offense on its body. It stretched out a thick arm to grab Laine with force, the immense strength smacking Laine away, then grabbed a boulder nearby, hurling it ferociously at Laine: ”Die... fragments!”

Gazing at the incoming boulder, Laine’s eyes released the Light of Spiritual Power, he murmured a phrase, causing his body to shatter into countless fragments of light, the boulder smashing heavily where he once stood, releasing a haze of smoke.

Nothing hit, Laine’s form flashed behind the Cyclops, seeking to deliver a fatal blow: ”Judgment!”

”Hee~” The Cyclops continued its nasty grin, revealing a mouth full of Sharp Fangs: ”Simpl...e!”

The Fierce Beast stamped its left foot on the ground, swiftly rotating its body, spinning it around on the spot, then stretched out its right leg to kick Laine behind it.

”Uh~” Laine groaned, using his Warhammer to block the Cyclops’ attack, the Lake Fairy’s Divine Chosen Champion realized the opponent’s difficulty, as this Cyclops was more agile than Laine imagined, and extremely sensitive to both the Subspace and Magic Wind, no assault could evade its senses.

But this was not beyond Laine, who adjusted his posture and balance in mid-air, landing steadily, then, while the Cyclops was stuck in its attack posture, swung another hammer: ”Skull Shattering Strike!”
