Chapter 1121: Chapter 486: It Was All a Vampire Conspiracy! (Part 3)

Fidmund suddenly felt a bit sympathetic towards Laine, looking at him with an understanding gaze.

Such a spirit of sacrifice, this is truly a human hero worthy of admiration!

”This vampire came to silence us, master, it was they who stole the Sea God Trident,” the dark elf chimed in softly, ”this band of rogue knights was incited by the high-rank vampires to steal the Sea God Trident.”

”It was them indeed!” Fidmund gritted his teeth in hatred, seemingly having forgotten the dark elf’s previous brutal interrogation, ”And then?”

”Then this vampire came to silence us,” the dark elf shifted her gaze to the deceased high-rank vampire, continuing, ”A week later, on the plains twenty kilometers outside Margaret City, the mercenary corps hired by the vampires will conduct a transaction with this group of rogue knights.”

”I see!” Laine grasped his chin, pulling out a bloodied Eagle Banner from his pocket, revealing his findings to the others.

The revelation that the Margaret Knight Order still existed in this world left both Fidmund and Alfred speechless with shock.

Laine gave them a moment to process this news and then summarized, ”The vampires must have convinced the hidden knights of the Margaret Knight Order that the power of the Sea God Trident could enable them to embark on another expedition to Arabi!”

”Then it makes sense! This is all a vampire conspiracy!” Veronica nodded repeatedly before speaking urgently, ”We must seize the items before the rogue knights hand them to the knights of the Margaret Knight Order, or else, with one misstep, we might trigger a full-scale war between Estalia, the Empire, and Brittania!”

”No,” Laine shook his head abruptly, ”We are not in our country, this is Estalia, so even if we catch the rogue knights, what if we can’t find the Sea God Trident?”

The pale Alfred rested against the window, as a head of golden hair peered in from outside, ”Then it would be equivalent to declaring war, as we attacked the trade partners of the Margaret Knight Order, and they can firmly claim that we took the precious goods, leaving us without a defense.”

”Thus, we must attack during the transaction, capturing them and their possessions as evidence to ensure the Estalians have no excuse to intervene in this war,” Fidmund nodded, retrieving a conch shell, ”I’ll immediately contact my father; the Sea God Fleet will land on the plains north of Margaret!”

”Very well, we rest here until the day after tomorrow, then prepare to set off for Margaret,” Laine said, lifting Ollica into his arms, gazing at the deceased high-rank vampire, and asking, ”Is there a way to deal with this corpse?”

”Let me handle it; my flames can reduce these bodies to ashes,” Veronica stepped forward, flames flickering at her fingertips, ”Then with some chemicals... scattering them into the sea will suffice.”

”Good, it’s late, let’s rest early,” Laine took the dark elf for a bath.

”Yes, everyone worked hard, let’s rest early,” Fidmund concluded the day’s operation, ”Rest up tomorrow, and arrange shifts for the personnel.”

”Yes!”

...This is the rest early dividing line...

Meanwhile, in the Black Mountain Range, at the Estalia border.

An Imperial army numbering over ten thousand was slowly advancing into this land, symbolizing freedom, equipped with a substantial number of firearms and artillery; with more than a dozen cannons and mortars, along with Hellstorm Rocket Cannons, led by Imperial Engineers, entering Estalia’s territory. Flame Sun Knights were primed and ready, with Great Swordsmen and Long Halberdiers glistening in armor, as Musketeers from the musket battalions advanced in neat formations in the wilderness.

Leading this army was the Imperial Grand Alchemist Biersaze Gaert, riding on the Pegasus ”Swift Silver.” A gold mask obscured his vision, leaving no one aware of what the Grand Alchemist was contemplating.

”Grand Alchemist, we have entered Estalia’s borders,” said Imperial Captain Bernhardt to the Grand Alchemist, ”Despite His Majesty the Emperor approving this military action, I still hope we remain cautious, as no one wishes to provoke a war between Estalia and the Empire.”

”Those things are unimportant; my information indicates that the Sea Gold Talisman has appeared in Estalia, right next to Margaret!” The Grand Alchemist’s voice was filled with the sound of metallic friction and vibrations as he raised the Golden Staff, the Wind of Piety sweeping through the sky.

”The Sea Gold Talisman can only belong to me!”
