Chapter 1899: Chapter 1900: Why Did You Say That?

Who dares to hold her like this from behind?

When Feng Feiyan’s waist was embraced, she immediately knew it was Su Yi Jing who had returned. Her face was adorned with a gentle smile as she heard Su Yi Jing ask if she was thinking of him, and she replied honestly, nodding: ”Mm, I was thinking of you.”

After a pause, ”You were a few days later than I anticipated, so I was a bit worried.”

Su Yi Jing said, ”There were several heavy rainfalls on the way, causing delays.” He originally thought it would take just over two months, but unexpectedly, it took more than three months.

”As long as you’re okay.” Feng Feiyan turned to look at him. ”How are your parents? Are they well?”

”They weren’t well at first, but after I visited this time, their spirits lifted a lot, and I felt much relieved,” Su Yi Jing replied truthfully.

”You should visit them more often.”

”I also want to visit them more, but the round-trip takes at least two months. Even if I do nothing else all year, I could only visit five or six times. But my parents said that if I’m really pressed for time, I should visit once every two years. Of course, they still hope I bring you back to Xiyun sooner, so I don’t have to worry about you there and them here.”

”Bring me back to Xiyun...” Feng Feiyan’s eyes lit up. ”They’ve accepted me?”

”I told them you remained as chaste as Jade for me and were willing to give up the throne for me, and they accepted you.”

Upon hearing ”as chaste as Jade,” Feng Feiyan blushed and quietly chided, ”Why did you have to mention that?”

Knowing why she was embarrassed, Su Yi Jing laughed, ”If I didn’t say that, they would still think that only I suffered. How could they accept you otherwise? Besides, they’re my parents, there’s nothing I can’t tell them.”

Feng Feiyan said nothing more, but her face and ears remained flushed.

Finding Feng Feiyan very endearing like this, Su Yi Jing first kissed her ear, making it even redder, before asking, ”I’ve been away for more than three months, how is your father doing?”

Feng Feiyan immediately rejoiced, ”Your second brother’s medical skills are truly superb. My father, treated by him, was able to get out of bed two months ago, and now he seems no different from a normal person. It’s just that after being bedridden for so many years, his Internal Weakness is quite severe. Your second brother said he still needs to take medicine to recuperate for several months.”

This reminded Feng Feiyan of something, ”Oh yes, your second brother said that my father no longer needs him, the prescription for recuperation has been given. As long as the medicine is taken as prescribed, it’ll be fine. He left the palace early and seems to be setting off for Xiyun by tomorrow.”

”Then I’ll leave the palace to see him.” His second brother had helped him such a great deal, he couldn’t just let it pass now that he was back. He had to go express his gratitude.

”Mm.”

...

Changhuan Pavilion.

A certain room.

”Yi Xing, thank you,” Su Yi Jing sincerely expressed his gratitude.

Su Yixing said, ”If you thank me, you’re treating me as an outsider. Big brother, please don’t make me say any sarcastic things to you. As long as our parents aren’t worried for you and are living well, you’re living well too, I’d willingly save the world if you asked me.”

”On this trip back, our parents are in much better spirits, so you shouldn’t worry too much.”

Su Yixing immediately said, ”You ought to visit our parents. You really are quite ruthless, saying five years. Imagine when you have a child cherished in your heart, raised with great care, but then your own child says they wouldn’t visit you for five years because of a woman. I wonder how good you’d feel then.”
