Chapter 1868: Chapter 1869: If You Dare Go, We’ll Disown You

The future Prince of Xiyun is destined to become the king of Xiyun, essentially a ruler of the country, so how can he be with the empress of another nation? When the time comes, how will the two countries of Wufeng and Xiyun be accounted for? Will Wufeng be merged into Xiyun, or Xiyun into Wufeng?

No matter who merges into whom, the citizens of one country will definitely not accept it, feeling that their nation is perfectly fine and wondering why they have to be merged with another.

Su Yi Jing understands this point, so he says, ”I understand, but I will try my best to make her give up the throne of Wufeng for me.”

”If she’s willing to give up her throne for you, she wouldn’t have left a letter and departed in the beginning!” Finally, Xiao Changyi is angered.

Compared to Su Yi Jing being with Feng Feiyan, Xiao Changyi would rather his son had never met Feng Feiyan at all.

He’s his son, and he doesn’t want him to suffer even the slightest grievance!

Su Yi Jing also knows that Feng Feiyan left originally to return to Wufeng to inherit the throne, but: ”But I can’t accept it, father, I truly can’t accept it... no matter the final outcome, I want to give it a try. After five years, I will definitely return. Father, please, I beg you, fulfill your son’s wish... I beg you...”

How could Xiao Changyi bear to see his son pleading with him like this? He closed his eyes and said harshly, ”Your mother and I will not agree.” After a pause, ”If you dare to go, we’ll consider it as if we never had you as a son, and five years later, there’s no need for you to return.”

With nothing more to say, Xiao Changyi stood up and returned to his room.

Su Yi Jing was feeling very distressed, but he had already made up his mind, yet he still wanted to seek the approval of his parents, so he continued to kneel in the main room, awaiting their consent.

In the main room, Su Yi Jing didn’t eat or drink and knelt continuously for five days. Xiao Changyi and An Jing didn’t speak with him, but they delivered meals and water to the room, though Su Yi Jing refused to eat.

An Jing’s eyes were red each day, and Xiao Changyi felt very uncomfortable in his heart as well.

An Baobei, their daughter, was not cared for by An Jing and Xiao Changyi as they had no mood for it. Fortunately, Tobanya and Meng Zhuqing were quite adept at taking care of children, assisting with An Baobei, allowing An Jing and Xiao Changyi to be at ease.

As Su Yi Jing’s godfather and godmother, Tobanya and Meng Zhuqing also disagreed with Su Yi Jing’s decision to go to Wufeng, advising him many times, but Su Yi Jing persisted in kneeling there, seeking An Jing and Xiao Changyi’s approval.

Seeing Su Yi Jing kneeling for five days, An Jing and Xiao Changyi realized that Su Yi Jing was adamant about going to Wufeng, and if denied, he would kneel to death right in front of them.

This day, An Jing also knelt down, sitting beside Su Yi Jing, crying while saying to him: ”You only think about being with her, don’t you consider your father and me? If you kneel here until death, how will your father and I continue to live, huh?”

”Mother...” Finally, Su Yi Jing couldn’t hold back and cried.

”Good boy, don’t cry.” Although An Jing advised Su Yi Jing not to cry, she cried herself. She even helped Su Yi Jing wipe his tears. Her voice was weak and weary. ”Mother has accepted it, go to Wufeng, but you must promise me that, regardless of the outcome, you will return safely in five years.”

”Mother...”

An Jing said no more, stood up, and went back to her room. Her departing figure seemed to age all of a sudden.

Su Yi Jing’s lips trembled with distress.

”Is this what you wanted?” Xiao Changyi asked emotionlessly. ”See what you’ve done to your mother.”

These few days, Su Yi Jing didn’t eat or drink, and An Jing and Xiao Changyi also followed suit, abstaining alongside him.
