Chapter 1872: Chapter 1873: Jingchen Palace

Su Yi Jing presented the Token given by Feng Feiyan, and the garrison general immediately asked respectfully, ”May I ask if you are Young Master Xiao, Xiao Yijing?”

Su Yi Jing merely nodded expressionlessly.

The garrison general was overjoyed and said, ”The Emperor has ordered me to wait here for many days, please, Young Master Xiao, follow me swiftly into the palace.”

Then, led by the garrison general, Su Yi Jing was escorted into the Imperial Palace of Wufeng.

Ye Yi originally couldn’t enter the Imperial Palace of Wufeng, those guarding the palace wouldn’t let Ye Yi in, but Su Yi Jing took out the Token given by Feng Feiyan again, and this Token was akin to seeing Feng Feiyan; only then did those people allow Ye Yi to enter the palace with him.

Feng Feiyan had instructed beforehand that once Su Yi Jing arrived, he would stay in Jingchen Palace. Jingchen Palace is relatively secluded in the palace, and the halls are not small, perfect for Su Yi Jing to live in.

However, Su Yi Jing did not care where he stayed; since Feng Feiyan arranged for him to live in Jingchen Palace, he would stay in Jingchen Palace.

Because now in Wufeng Palace, the Empress and the Noble Consorts are all male, thus the quarters of the Empress and Noble Consorts are all attended by eunuchs, not a single palace maid.

Looking at the eunuch-filled Jingchen Palace, Su Yi Jing remained expressionless.

”Young Master Xiao, if you need anything, just give your orders, we slaves are here to serve you.” The Chamberlain of Jingchen Palace, leading many eunuchs, knelt before Su Yi Jing and said with utmost respect.

Su Yi Jing slowly took a sip of tea first, and then asked with little emotional fluctuation, ”Was this palace originally called Jingchen Palace?”

The Chamberlain replied immediately, ”No, this Jingchen Palace was renamed by the Emperor a few days ago.”

Su Yi Jing asked again, ”I just entered the palace and am not familiar with matters here, could you tell me about them?”

The Chamberlain said, ”There are many matters in the palace, I am not sure which ones Young Master Xiao wants to know about?”

Su Yi Jing said indifferently, ”I have come to the palace to be a Noble Consort, just tell me about the Retired Emperor, the Empress Dowager, the Empress, and other Noble Consorts.”

The Chamberlain immediately, fearfully said, ”The Retired Emperor, Empress Dowager, Empress, and Noble Consorts are beyond what a slave can discuss, but the Retired Emperor’s health has not been good, and he is recuperating with the Empress Dowager in Longevity Palace, the Empress resides in the East Palace, Noble Consort Liang lives in Fule Palace, Noble Consort Sheng lives in Ankang Palace, and the Emperor said that Young Master Xiao does not need to pay respects to the Retired Emperor, Empress Dowager, and Empress.”

Su Yi Jing nodded before asking again, ”How are the relations between the Empress, Noble Consort Liang, and Noble Consort Sheng?”

The Chamberlain hesitated, not daring to speak of the disputes among the masters of the harem openly, but considering Feng Feiyan, whom the Emperor valued so much, allowed the person before him to not pay his respects to the Retired Emperor and Empress Dowager, and that he was now assigned to serve this person in Jingchen Palace, in the future this person would be his master, so he said, ”Ever since entering the palace, the Empress, Noble Consort Liang, and Noble Consort Sheng have often played chess, performed sword dances, had tea, and chatted together, and their relationship seems quite good.”

”And the Emperor? Which one does he prefer?” Su Yi Jing asked seemingly without emotional fluctuation, but in reality wanting Feng Feiyan to dismiss the Empress and the two Noble Consorts immediately.

The Chamberlain said, ”It should be the Empress, as the Emperor visits the Empress’s quarters more frequently.”

The hand holding the teacup involuntarily tightened, and if not noticed in time, Su Yi Jing might have crushed the teacup.

Suppressing his jealousy and anger, Su Yi Jing commanded, ”Go, inform the Emperor that I have entered the palace.”

The Chamberlain said, ”Someone has already reported it, the Emperor should already know that Young Master Xiao has arrived at the palace.”
