Chapter 1873: Chapter 1874: If You Don’t Come Over, I’ll Go Find You

Feng Feiyan knew that Su Yi Jing had entered the palace. Since there were many memorials to review, she didn’t visit Su Yi Jing in Jingchen Palace but sent various precious gifts to her instead.

By the time Feng Feiyan finished reviewing the memorials, it was already very late. She wanted to visit Jingchen Palace but considered that Su Yi Jing might be asleep, so she waited until the next day after court to go to Jingchen Palace.

When Su Yi Jing saw her coming, he sneered, ”So, you want me to stay in this palace without any title or position?”

Feng Feiyan felt a bit bitter in her heart, but she remained quite calm on the surface, ”Haven’t you just entered the palace?”

After dismissing the attendants, seeing that only she and Su Yi Jing were left, she continued, ”To be Your Majesty really is an injustice to you. If you regret it, let’s just forget about it, okay?”

”If I regretted it, would I have come all this way?” Su Yi Jing sneered again. Then, using a commanding tone, he said, ”Today, make me Your Majesty.”

Realizing that he insisted on staying in the palace as Your Majesty, Feng Feiyan sighed with discomfort before saying, ”Today you can be conferred, but the consecration ceremony must be properly arranged by the Ministry of Rites.”

”No matter how noble Your Majesty is, it’s still just a concubine.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Feiyan’s heart ached as if being cut by a knife. She didn’t want to wrong him like this, but the problem was, her harem’s Empress position was already filled.

Su Yi Jing continued, ”I don’t need a consecration ceremony, and don’t let the Ministry of Rites bother with it. Even if they do, I won’t attend. I just want a title to better torment you.”

He said one thing but meant another.

But only he knew that himself.

Feng Feiyan didn’t know he was being insincere; she thought he genuinely intended to torment her, which made her feel even worse, yet she agreed, ”Do as you wish.”

”Can I really do as I wish?” Without waiting for Feng Feiyan to reply, he sneered, ”Then let me depose the Empress and become the Empress myself. Would you agree?”

Feng Feiyan was taken aback; she hadn’t expected Su Yi Jing to suggest deposing the Empress for him to take the position. Then she said, ”Even if I deposed the Empress and you became the Empress, it would be too much of an injustice to you.” Pausing, ”You might as well torment me quickly, appease your heart, and return to Xiyun as the Crown Prince.”

Xiyun is much larger than Wufeng; Wufeng is just a small nation, and as the dignified Crown Prince of Xiyun, even a random fiefdom from there might be bigger than her Wufeng. Truly no need to endure humiliation in her harem.

”Whether I return to Xiyun or not is my own affair. I’m just asking if you’re willing.” Su Yi Jing stared at Feng Feiyan, looking as if he demanded a reply from her.

”What if I am willing? What if I’m not? Would you stop tormenting me and return to Xiyun? I still have many memorials to review, I’m leaving.”

But Su Yi Jing grabbed her, ”The matter of Your Majesty?”

”I’ll have someone issue the decree soon, making you Your Majesty.”

”So does tonight count as our wedding night?”

”...”

”Remember to come over tonight.”

”...”

”If you don’t come, I will find you.”

”...I will come.”

Su Yi Jing smiled, gently stroking her lips with his thumb, and said meaningfully, ”Emperor, I will serve you well.”

Feng Feiyan said nothing more and fled in panic.

...

That night, Feng Feiyan indeed came to Su Yi Jing, but she was drunk and had to be escorted over.

Su Yi Jing supported the already unconscious Feng Feiyan and, after helping her to his bed, asked the palace maid who always attended to Feng Feiyan, ”What happened to the Emperor?”
