Chapter 1854: Chapter 1855: No One Can Take Him Away

”Why do you want me to go with you? You could go alone,” Su Yi Jing questioned while leisurely eating breakfast.

In his view, his younger brother had not only met Feng Feiyan, but was also significant enough to greet Feng Feiyan as a Prince.

An Yiqing replied, ”The Empress herself has come. If I go alone, it would not reflect the importance of the relations between our two countries. Only if you come with us will it be appropriate, as you are the Crown Prince of Xiyun.”

”Let Mu Chen Bro go,” Su Yi Jing didn’t want to go; he planned to teach his three young beauties how to ride a horse today.

”Mu Chen Bro is busy, otherwise Second Uncle wouldn’t have asked you, the idle one, to go.”

”No matter who you find to accompany you, I’m not going. I promised Qi’er and the others that I would teach them horseback riding today.” Su Yi Jing would never go back on his word once given.

Upon hearing this, the three young beauties spoke up, slightly unhappy, ”Third brother, big brother has already promised us. If you make him cancel on us, we won’t like you.”

An Yiqing was amused but indulgently replied, ”Alright, alright, Third Brother won’t let big brother cancel on you. Let him teach you to ride a horse, and I’ll go find Mu Ye to go with me. He is also a Prince; having two legitimate sons of the imperial family to greet will not be disrespectful.”

The three young beauties instantly cheered and urged An Yiqing, ”Then, Third Brother, hurry and find Mu Ye Brother. Big brother is ours today, and no one can take him away.”

”You guys...” An Yiqing fondly tousled the hair of the three young beauties before turning and leaving.

Su Yi Jing paid no mind to whether An Yiqing had left or not and directly peeled an egg for each of the three young beauties, saying, ”Hurry up and eat; soon big brother will take you riding.”

”Mmm mmm~” The three young beauties nodded happily. Horseback riding, it would definitely be fun.

...

Su Mu Ye was the fourth son of Su Chengyu, four years younger than Jing Xingqingyun.

An Yiqing and Su Mu Ye greeted Feng Feiyan together and escorted Feng Feiyan to rest at the posthouse.

The posthouse was under strict security to prevent any incidents during Feng Feiyan’s stay.

After spending a night at the posthouse, Feng Feiyan was received by Su Chengyu, accompanied by An Yiqing, at the Imperial Palace.

Feng Feiyan and Su Chengyu shared many polite exchanges before discussing friendly relations between the two nations. They even talked about trade and cooperation to ensure the friendship was more than mere words.

It took three days of talks to finalize the friendly cooperation, and at this point, Feng Feiyan asked, ”Emperor of Xiyun, I have been here several days; why haven’t I seen King of Xiyun?”

Su Chengyu replied with a smile, ”My royal brother isn’t well and has been avoiding guests for recuperation. I trust Emperor Feng will understand. However, please rest assured, he has entrusted all affairs of Xiyun to me. Anything I promise to Emperor Feng will indeed materialize, ensuring perpetual friendship between our nations.”

Feng Feiyan, equally composed, smiled, ”Since King of Xiyun is unwell, I will not insist. Please convey my regards to King of Xiyun on my behalf.”

”Certainly, I will convey the message,” Su Chengyu kept his poised and imperial smile intact.

Yet internally, Su Chengyu quietly admired Feng Feiyan, who, at only sixteen years old, had a presence that was by no means inferior to his own.
