Chapter 1898: Chapter 1899: Thinking of Me?

An Jing and Xiao Changyi exchanged a glance before An Jing spoke again, ”Even if she’s willing to give up the throne for you, can she really do it?”

”She and I are working hard now to ensure she doesn’t become the Emperor of Wufeng.”

After a pause, Su Yi Jing explained in detail, ”The three men she married are all ambitious and don’t want to be trapped in the harem. I’ve made an agreement with them that when the time is right, she’ll abolish their titles, let them leave the palace, and grant them freedom.”

”As for her throne, my plan is to cure her father’s illness and let him reascend the throne.”

”And my second brother says he can cure her father within six months. Once her father returns to power as Emperor of Wufeng, I’ll take her back to Xiyun.”

Hearing this, An Jing felt much more at ease and laughed, ”I didn’t expect things to go so smoothly for you. It looks like you won’t need five years to bring her back to us.”

”Hmm.”

”Oh,” An Jing sighed suddenly, full of emotion. ”At first, your father and I thought Boss was being unfair to you. But now that we’ve heard this, you’re not that mistreated. Initially, your father and I just felt that since she married three men, you’d be one among them. Now we know she’s actually yours alone, and you can amicably resolve things with the three of them. She’s even willing to give up the throne, so maybe you can bring her back next year. Your father and I feel much better now.”

As she spoke, An Jing’s voice choked up again, ”Jing’er, you have no idea how life has been for your father and me these past three months. What are we trying to achieve? Is it to break up you and her? No, we just don’t want you to suffer.”

”Mother, I know...” Su Yi Jing’s voice also got choked up, ”I know it all.”

Immediately, Su Yi Jing rushed to say, ”Father, Mother, don’t feel I’m mistreated anymore. Qingqing said, if she abdicates her position as Empress, her current status wouldn’t be suitable to marry me as the Prince of Xiyun. She’ll find a more decent identity to marry me, and we’ll serve you well together.”

An Jing found comfort, ”With her saying this, it’s not in vain that you’ve unwaveringly chosen her.”

...

Su Yi Jing spent half a month accompanying An Jing and Xiao Changyi well before setting out for Wufeng.

This time when Su Yi Jing left for Wufeng, An Jing and Xiao Changyi bid farewell to him with smiles, unlike before when they felt he was going off to suffer.

Seeing that his parents were no longer sad or worried for him, Su Yi Jing was relieved. He carefully instructed his parents to take care of their health before mounting his horse to leave for Wufeng.

Due to several heavy rainfalls on the way, which made traveling difficult, each rainstorm required several days of rest. Su Yi Jing didn’t arrive at Wufeng’s capital until the fourth of June.

Upon entering the Imperial Palace of Wufeng, Su Yi Jing went straight to find Feng Feiyan.

Feng Feiyan was in the Imperial Study Room, but instead of dealing with memorials, she stood by the window, gazing in the direction of Xiyun.

As soon as Su Yi Jing entered the Imperial Study Room, he saw Feng Feiyan standing by the window, not knowing what she was looking at. He didn’t rush to speak, but indicated with his eyes for the servants in the Imperial Study Room to leave. Only then did he walk up behind Feng Feiyan, embrace her waist from behind, and rest his chin on her shoulder.

”Are you thinking about me?” he exhaled warm breath near her ear.
