Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1242 - 645: Withering the World Tree?

The monster’s plan is extremely audacious.

First, on the side of the World Tree, it must exhibit very formidable strength.

Strength that causes the alien invaders to feel unease and fear.

Currently, although the alien invaders are quite displeased about humans suddenly owning the World Tree, they don’t actually pay much attention to it.

From the current situation of the alien invaders, the monster predicts that its ”father” is unlikely to deploy military forces to besiege this World Tree.

This stems from the alien invaders’ current situation and their perception of Earth humans.

When the alien invaders invaded Earth, they were essentially just a fleet.

Although they’ve been on Earth for a thousand years, their military hasn’t seen much progress or deployment.

They merely consider Earth a mining ground.

The remaining Earth humans are still under their control, so they essentially have no high-tech military deployments on Earth.

After all, with the mutant creatures spread across the globe, they can already dominate the entire planet. Why do anything unnecessary?

Although they were extremely fearful and desirous of human brain potential during the invasion war a thousand years ago, their current thoughts on this matter have considerably diminished.

After all, with the passing of a thousand years, the remaining humans were even firmly controlled and enslaved by them.

Under these circumstances, they no longer believe that humans have the capability to harm them. Some even doubt whether their panic-driven destruction of Earth humans at the time was an overreaction.

So, at this stage, their attitude towards humans is one of contempt and disdain.

They believe humans can’t make any significant waves anymore.

Even if humans have a World Tree, they also believe that humans can’t stir up any major turmoil.

The thousand-year disdain towards Earth humans has deeply ingrained itself in their hearts.

Currently, the only ones who still harbor anxiety about human activities are those scientists who’ve been researching human brains because they’re most aware of the brain’s potential.

However, the leader no longer believes what they say, because scientists in this space-time haven’t developed anything valuable in brain research. The leader has long looked down upon them and won’t heed their ”alarmist talk.”

Earth humans are weak and hideous creatures—this notion has taken deep root in most of their minds.

Xu Ying wasn’t wrong. Although alien invaders initially feared human development, they now view humans as ”cockroaches.”

They don’t believe humans can accomplish anything significant, just like humans don’t see cockroaches achieving anything momentous.

Even though they recently rallied to attack the monster helping humans, it was because their current strategies are all linked to the monster.

Compared to humans acquiring a World Tree for development, they’re more concerned about whether this monster is on their side.

In their view, the monster comes from the future, and its actions could genuinely threaten their status.

As for humans, they’re presently not really concerned.

Meanwhile, they are also starting to experience internal chaos.

Currently, all the alien invaders’ military forces are controlled by the monster’s ”father,” who is the leader of the entire colony.

Due to the current state of relative chaos, the alien invaders’ leader hasn’t deployed their forces externally for a long time, fearing any mishaps.

In other words, virtually all their forces guard their target—the ”Crimson Crystal.”

This is a major headache for Xu Xin and his team, who wish to destroy the ”Crimson Crystal” and expel the alien invaders from Earth.

To launch an attack, they must first lure those forces away from the area.

Hence, the monster proposed making the World Tree’s side stronger and more conspicuous.

It believes that Earth humans must demonstrate sufficient power to draw the alien invaders’ main forces over.

Simultaneously, they also must have certain strength to withstand the alien invaders’ attacks.

Meanwhile, their elites, namely the group of explorers, will cross half the globe to the other side of Earth to carry out a ”decapitation operation”!

The target of the operation is the Crimson Crystal.

This is the monster’s specific plan.

”Ah, an ambush,” Lou Fei’Er exclaimed in surprise, ”This plan feels... a bit rough.”

Except for Wen Guixin, the rest of the explorers were already present.

Xu Xin had already briefly explained to them the matters the alien invaders previously mentioned.

However, he hadn’t revealed Wen Guixin’s identity for the time being.

If she wants to speak, she will do so herself; he won’t overstep.

Still, judging by the attitudes of those present, even without his explanation, they likely guessed it already.

”It is somewhat rough because it’s just an initial plan.” Xu Xin sighed and resumed his fretting.

This plan essentially uses the entire World Tree as bait.

And right now, the World Tree is the only place where humans can live in peace. If making such a decision means...
