Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1229 - 640: Complete Enslavement of Humanity (Part 3)

”Initially, they also thought the same way.” The corners of the creature’s mouth twisted slightly, seemingly smiling, ”I told them that what I said has already been realized a thousand years later because the time machine that brought me to this time and space is invented by humans.”

As it spoke, two pairs of eyes on its face opened, looking toward both Xu Ying and Xu Xin.

”Hmm... What it says... seems to be a fact?” Xu Ying scratched her head, feeling a bit confused.

”It is indeed a fact. Because the time machine, which possesses their top technology, was invented by you. With our intellectual potential, we could not have invented it. And the cause of all this is me.”

The creature pointed its slightly twisted fingers at Xu Xin and Xu Ying and then towards its dark face.

Indeed, without it, humans wouldn’t possess the top technology of alien invaders.

”They were very shocked, but didn’t directly believe me, so I did something to convince them.”

”At that time, I had already realized I could travel back in time. And the surviving humans were very few, thus, a bold idea appeared in my mind.”

”I wanted to send the Earth humans who died in the war to the future before the war.”

Come on, survivors!

”Simultaneously, I planned to select from them, ultimately leaving behind those with excellent genes among Earth humans. I would designate an area for them to thrive and reproduce, generation after generation, continuing to select better genes, laying the genetic foundation for my... new species birth plan.”

”Naturally, I couldn’t use this reason for them, so I told them they could simultaneously possess humans with excellent genes while eliminating those who couldn’t be brainwashed in the selection. These selected Earth humans would continue to reproduce generation after generation, being brainwashed generation after generation, ultimately becoming instrumental for their technological advancement.”

Xu Xin lowered her eyelids.

That human city on the backside of Earth was indeed such an existence.

This guy, not only is the new species birth plan genuine, but the proposal given to the alien invaders has also been realized!

This isn’t deception, it’s the truth being completed!

”So, I told them I would go to the past, to a thousand years ago, and bring back a large number of Earth humans before their invasion for them to select and enslave, but on the condition... that once I bring the people back, they must trust me.”

”They agreed. Thus, there were the first batch of survivors.”

The creature explained its process succinctly, but the three present could feel the tremendous impact that decision had on the future.

”You... how did you manage to bring so many people back by yourself?” Xu Ying’s tone seemed to be gritting her teeth.

After all, this is the culprit causing all these variables!

If it weren’t for its chaos in this time and space, their organized plan might have continued smoothly.

But without it, their team wouldn’t have invented the time machine.

It truly was the biggest variable disturbing two time spaces...

”You could create a space compression device, naturally, I can too.” The creature’s mouth cracked open.

”...So, you brought people from the past to the future, and did it... five times?” Xu Ying stared at it intensely, ”Why? Why could you return to the past without issue, obviously making so many changes to the future, and going back and forth between the past and future five times, with each leap spanning a thousand years, yet not being rejected by the world?”

”Rejected by... the world?” The creature’s tone was clearly puzzled, ”What are you talking about?”

Xu Ying choked for a moment, looking at it incredulously: ”You don’t know?”

”What?” The creature’s eyes on its face opened wide, each showing some confusion, ”Know what? Since arriving in this time and space, I’ve been living well.”

This left Xu Xin and Shi Wanyun very shocked.

It isn’t being rejected and eliminated by the world?

Why is that?

”I...” Xu Ying’s pupils visibly trembled, then she murmured to herself, ”Why isn’t it being rejected, does that mean I might also... no... there is already a Xu Ying in this time-space, I can’t...”

She shook her head fiercely and looked at the creature, her gaze becoming sharp: ”So, you were the one who brought those survivors here, subjected them to brutal selection, and left hardly any alive, right? You said you don’t want to persecute humans, but in the end, you did the same thing!”

”If it weren’t for me, a thousand years ago, they would have died under the alien invaders’ invasion.” said the creature, ”At least, I gave them a choice to survive, didn’t I?”

The creature’s words left Xu Ying somewhat speechless.

It seems... to be true, isn’t it?

”But you...”

”Moreover, the so-called brutal selection wasn’t done by me, but by you humans, those... survivors.”

The creature’s mouth cracked to the back of its head.

”Though they’re humans, they were relentless against their own kind; hardly any from the first batch of survivors were left, all done by those survivors themselves. Ha... Maybe that’s the nature of intelligent life forms, even if they belong to the same race, they could never have one heart.”

This... is truly ironic.
