Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1217 - 636: Extermination Plan for Earth’s Humanity_3

That is, including Xu Xin and Xu Ying from that time and space, this group of people.

The main purpose of leaving these survivors wasn’t for managing this planet, but to research their brains!

...

”...Did you know about this?” Xu Xin turned to look at Xu Ying, who appeared slightly dazed, and then shook his head.

No need for her to answer; just looking at her expression, you could tell she had no idea about this.

”...I didn’t know about this, but...no wonder...”

Xu Ying mumbled to herself.

”In the first few years, a significant number of disappearances and deaths occurred among us survivors, for no apparent reason. Of course, we all thought it was because the alien invaders captured us for experiments, but didn’t expect...”

Didn’t expect that we were actually right.

”Afterwards? Only in the first few years?” Wen Guixin asked.

”Later... most people were brainwashed. So that’s it...” Xu Ying gently bit her lip, ”They were researching human brains...”

”That’s right.” The monster continued to speak.

...

The more they researched Earth humans’ brains, the more terrified the alien invaders felt.

If Earth humans could fully unleash their brain potential, it would be too terrifying!

And they yearned for it!

Their original plan was to leave this water-filled terrifying planet with some ”specimens” and return to their resource-rich home planet for research.

But unexpectedly, they discovered a surprising and joyous substance on this planet.

A special crystal!

It was this crystal that made them endure the discomfort and stay on a planet they didn’t want to colonize.

...

”...What use do these crystal mines have for you?” Xu Ying interrupted, asking.

She knew that the alien invaders had been mining crystal, even frantically mining it at first. All survivors were made to work as miners, tirelessly day and night.

Even many died from exhaustion.

”This is the main part I wanted to tell you. But first, let me tell you about my own situation.”

The monster’s tone quickened, but still a bit stumbling.

”Okay.”

...

Though they stayed for the crystal mines, the alien invaders’ bio-scientists hadn’t given up on researching Earth humans’ brains.

They still carried out high-intensity research on human brains.

The fear of Earth humans was innate to them, so the first thing in their research was to brainwash these survivors...

Also, they didn’t want Earth humans to multiply again. The terrifying fertility rate of Earth humans was another source of their fear.

So, they affected this group of survivors’ reproductive abilities.

...

”Reproductive ability?” Wen Guixin’s mouth opened wide enough to fit an egg, looking at Xu Ying with a strange expression, ”Were you guys... sterilized?”

”What?!” Xu Ying glared at Wen Guixin, ”How could that happen! I didn’t know anything!”

Then she thought deeply: ”But... it makes sense. We actually have a very low chance of having offspring. I thought it was because the alien invaders banned reproduction, or everyone was too busy to have kids... Turns out it was physiologically prevented... Was it the food?”

”Food.” The monster nodded.

”No wonder the birth rate is so low...” Xu Ying murmured.

Xu Xin also had a slight realization.

The man who went to District 1 to find Wanyun might have come just one day after his son’s disappearance because of this.

With the survivors’ reproductive abilities affected, wanting children was too difficult, so that’s why he was so worried about his son.

Like contacting him every night, and when he couldn’t reach him, he rushed over.

The monster continued to talk.

...

The alien invaders’ obsession with the human brain didn’t stop there.

They wanted to integrate such smart human genes into their own species!

If they could have such a brain and fully develop it...

The benefits to their species would be unimaginable!

Their first step was to fuse two types of genes into one biological entity.

Thus, the experiment plan of birthing half-human half-monster beings was born, and it received strong support from the invasion corps leader, who even offered his own genes.

After some time, their technology gradually matured.

But each time they failed; fusing two completely different genes into one species was too difficult.

Later they found a way to increase the success rate.

Humans are mammals, growing and being born in the womb, thus having the healthiest bodies and fullest lifespans. So, they needed... Earth human mothers.

At that time, female survivors started disappearing in large numbers.

...

”In the end, I was born.”

The monster said.

”And my mother was sent back to the survivor group. She was considered a hero, but her appearance was unacceptable to them, so she was returned. Moreover, if the plan starts again, they might need her again.”

”So that’s how it is...” Xu Ying sighed.

She then turned to look at the pondering Wen Guixin beside her.

And the monster also turned to look at Wen Guixin with the eyes on its face.

Wen Guixin noticed both Xu Ying and the monster looking at her, suddenly snapping out of her thoughts, confused: ”What? Why are you looking at me?”

”Sister Gui Xin, actually...” Xu Ying hesitated, finding it hard to speak.

Then the monster’s mouth cracked open again: ”You know why I sought out your team in that time and space, to cooperate?”

Xu Xin’s eyelids twitched twice, pupils contracted sharply, slowly turning to look at Wen Guixin beside him.

Shi Wanyun drew a sharp breath, her throat moved.

Wen Guixin’s eyes were vacant.

”Wha...what do you mean? What...what do you mean?!”
