Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1216 - 636: The Plan to Exterminate Earth’s Humanity_2

But at this stage, the development of technology was very slow.

Just like the hundreds of years between the Tang Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty, there were no very significant changes in people’s lives between these two eras.

At that time, technology did not profoundly change lives.

But upon entering the modern era, after the Industrial Revolution, the speed of technological development began to race like it was turbocharged!

The first Industrial Revolution, the second Industrial Revolution, each time causing earth-shattering changes in human life.

And a thousand years ago, during the era of alien invaders, it entered an era of rapid development.

Not to mention hundreds of years, even in just a few decades, or even years, people’s lives would change dramatically due to technological advancements.

Every minute and every second, people marveled at the gap between the past and the present.

This period was called the ”peak development phase” of technology by extraterrestrials.

Once there was enough accumulation, and as long as the needs for material, energy, and other requirements did not hit the bottleneck of technological development, the level of technological advancement only got faster and faster, until the resources on this planet could no longer satisfy the demand.

Then, like them, it would begin to explore the universe.

This process might not take long.

In fact, it might be achievable in just a few hundred years.

In other words, very soon, a group of intelligent creatures capable of exploring the universe like them could emerge!

Thus, they immediately began researching Earth humans.

The result was once again an astonishing conclusion.

Earth humans were particularly outstanding in terms of intelligence, and the organ they used for thinking, called the ”brain,” was remarkably unique.

Although compared to other intelligent creatures in the universe, Earth humans’ intelligence is not the highest, the potential of the human brain indeed exceeded the alien invaders’ expectations.

The degree to which Earth humans developed their own brains... was actually very low.

But even so, their level of technology had already advanced to such a level, reaching the ”peak phase” of development!

Earth humans, with their highly underdeveloped brains, almost accomplished this feat.

This news reached their home planet, causing an outcry among the extraterrestrial beings there.

To them, this was the most terrifying thing in history!

On a planet covered in water lived a group of highly intelligent, greatly potential, and outwardly terrifying creatures!

And these creatures’ technological level might reach the point of exploring the universe in a few hundred more years!

But they were lucky because they found them before this terrifying species fully developed.

Since this group was extremely terrifying and posed a threat to them, they decided to completely exterminate them before they could catch up!

They couldn’t allow such a potentially threatening group to continue to exist in this world!

Especially since the appearance of this group was so ”ugly,” so unsightly, so fear-inducing!

If this group looked cute and pleasant to the eye, perhaps they would hesitate, but such an ugly species did not stir any protective desire in them.

Thus, the ”exterminate Earth humans” plan was overwhelmingly decided upon by vote.

...

The creature in front of them narrated the story slowly in somewhat clumsy human language.

The four people present, including Xu Xin, listened with their hearts pounding.

So... this is the reason why alien invaders invaded Earth?

”Just because of this, you exterminated all life on Earth?” Wen Guixin gritted her teeth.

”No, not life on Earth.”

The creature corrected.

”It was, Earth humans, only humans. We... no, they, performed genocide on humans only, not on other earthly life forms. Because there is research value, and exterminating a species, they would still feel guilty, so they ordered not to proactively annihilate other Earth species.”

This is somewhat ironic.

”Hypocritical.” Shi Wanyun sighed lightly, ”Aren’t all advanced intelligent creatures like this?”

Shi Wanyun’s words made the other three’s words get stuck in their mouths.

Then they shook their heads with a bitter smile.

Those words are not too pleasant to hear.

But indeed, it’s true.

Humans have directly or indirectly driven unknown numbers of species to extinction.

But when such things happen to one’s own species, it becomes a blood feud.

”I want to hear the rest of your story,” Xu Ying said, looking at the creature.

”Alright.”

The creature continued its story.

...

And so, it was the well-known alien invasion of Earth event.

Although the plan was to exterminate the Earth human species, in the end, it was not fully accomplished.

Because the complex and undeveloped human brain was an extreme temptation for scientists among them!

Completely exterminating them would be too wasteful!

Although most other advanced creatures on Earth had similar structures, to these scientists, the brains of those lower intelligent creatures were incomparable to the terrifying brains of Earth humans!

Thus... there was a group of survivors in the invasion war.
