Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1238 - 643: The Decaying Dynasty Begins_3

”This is certainly good news,” Xu Xin said with a smile.

The monster’s mouth split open again: ”That’s why I think if you work with me, we have a great chance to destroy that crystal. After all, they’re no longer an impenetrable group. But we shouldn’t let our guard down. When facing humans, they can still unite, just like how they dealt with me.”

United against an external enemy?

This was something Xu Xin understood better.

It’s completely like human nature.

”...Hmm, I have a question I’ve always wanted to ask.” Xu Xin glanced at the sunglasses on the monster’s face and asked, ”The crystal is their Source of Life, but they’re afraid of the Source of Life of humans, water, isn’t that right?”

”Yes,” the monster nodded.

”Why are they afraid?”

”Yeah,” Xu Ying also wanted to ask, ”Why are they afraid? If we spray them with water, will they die? Or do they just hate contact with water?”

”Their bodies, when in prolonged contact with liquid water, will merge with it.”

The monster, without hesitation, directly revealed the alien invaders’ weakness.

”Water will erode their skin, seep into their internal organs, and eventually cause them to dissolve in water.”

This...

Xu Xin, Xu Ying, and Shi Wanyun all brightened their eyes.

This is a huge weakness!

Alien creatures dissolving in water?

Water is everywhere on Earth!

”Don’t get too excited. Using water as a weapon is basically ineffective.”

The monster poured cold water on their excitement: ”It requires long-term contact, like the behavior that’s most incomprehensible to them: humans soaking themselves in water to clean their bodies.”

Ah, just like taking a bath.

”If that’s the case, it won’t work. But normal contact with water is not a problem. Hmm... I’ve heard it can be painful, but not too severe. Even on Earth, during the worst weather, they can withstand rain for a period.”

In Earth time units, even if they soak in water, they can last more than ten minutes without dying. However, after about ten minutes, water will start to seep inside, causing widespread damage to the body.”

The monster seemed to show no mercy, directly explaining the weakness in detail.

I really wonder what they did to make it come to them so openly.

Even if completely submerged like taking a bath, it needs more than ten minutes for the alien invaders’ ’skin’ to be damaged?

Then it’s very difficult to kill them with water.

Might be better to use powerful weapons instead.

But...

”Your whole body is covered with eyes, but what if water gets into your eyes?” Xu Xin pursued further.

”...It’s not possible. In a submerged environment, the eyes must close, otherwise, they’ll go blind, and severely they could be eroded internally and die.”

The monster thought for a while and explained.

”However, because each eye can see, and with relatively independent and rapid reflexes, it’s very difficult for the eyes to get water under normal circumstances.”

”Hmm... So if there’s widespread spraying, they effectively can’t open their eyes, right?” Xu Ying immediately caught the key point.

”Uh... Yes.” The monster thought again and said, ”But... just wearing waterproof clothing solves it. Don’t you humans have raincoats?”

”Even if they wear protective suits, at least it can disrupt their vision,” Shi Wanyun said, pointing to the sunglasses it wore, ”Water is the best thing to block vision.”

”Yeah, cars need windshield wipers,” Xu Ying laughed, ”Moreover, it could let us launch a surprise attack! In any case, water is also a good weapon to deal with them. Looks like we need to make some large-capacity water guns or something.”

”Then where’s the crystal, can you confirm its location?”

At this point, Xu Xin spoke up.

”You mentioned you’ve seen the crystal in another time-space, what about this one? Have you seen it here?”

The other time-space is three hundred years post-war, this time-space is a thousand years post-war. If it was last seen thousand years ago, there’s no way to confirm if the crystal’s location has changed.

”It’s still in the same location in this time-space— in my ’father’s’ space beneath the World Tree,” the monster said.

The space beneath the World Tree...

”You mean the space with the World Tree control panel?” Shi Wanyun murmured.

”Yes. That’s the space. The crystal has always been there,” the monster said, ”Because only there can my ’father’ perfectly manage the crystal.”

”This...its World Tree is equivalent to the alien invaders’ palace?” Xu Ying’s smile froze on her lips.

...That’s really not a good place.
