Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1233 - 642: How Do You Want to Cooperate

This matter is worth pondering deeply.

Perhaps he should go to the lakeside and take a look.

If he gets close to the giant python, maybe he can use his mind-reading ability to hear its inner voice.

His mind-reading ability only spans a few hundred meters, so he must get close.

”Have you seen that Lake Giant Python?” Xu Xin turned his head and asked Xu Ying.

”Lake Giant Python? What Lake Giant Python?” Xu Ying looked confused.

It seems she doesn’t know about this matter.

She has never seen the Lake Giant Python either.

The Lake Giant Python last appeared before the World Tree matured, during the Tyrannosaurus attack.

At that time, Xu Ying and Li Wenxi were still in the underground world and hadn’t returned.

”It’s nothing.” Xu Xin waved his hand, ”It’s just a giant python, located in a very deep lake nearby.”

”The nearby giant beast? That should be left by my elder brother, right?” Xu Ying guessed.

”Oh? That giant python was left by Xu Xin, was it.” The monster muttered to itself.

”Let’s put the giant python matter aside, there’s something else I want to ask.” Xu Xin looked at the monster before him, ”Earlier around the World Tree, the one who knocked me off the Pterosaur, was you, right? Since you intend to join us, how do you explain what happened just now?”

”Regarding this matter, I can only apologize, because it was just a misunderstanding.”

The monster slightly lowered its head, showing a sincere demeanor: ”I didn’t know you were riding on that Pterosaur. My target was actually that Pterosaur.”

”Your target was the Pterosaur? Why?”

”Because that type of Pterosaur is the current mount for some ’Order Enforcers’.”

This...

”What?” Xu Ying was also shocked, ”Are the current Order Enforcers starting to ride Pterosaurs?”

”Some of them are. That type of Pterosaur is specifically cultivated to be human mounts.”

”Cultivated for humans? Oh, I see.” Xu Ying pursed her lips, ”They themselves have super high-speed aircrafts, why would they need Pterosaur mounts.”

”Yes, and now the whole layout of Earth is basically complete. The key areas have teleports, making flying beast mounts pointless for them, but for humans, they are very meaningful.”

”Mainly because they don’t want humans to use high-tech flying devices.” Shi Wanyun said softly.

”That’s right.” The monster nodded, ”Earth humans still possess brains with greater potential compared to theirs. If Earth humans were given high-tech products, they might do uncontrollable things.”

While speaking, one of its eyes on its cheek opened, looking at Xu Ying: ”I’ve deeply understood this matter. You are a race capable of inventing time machines.”

”Also, a race that could collapse the world.” Xu Ying slightly shrugged her somewhat thin shoulders, ”So, why did you attack my brother? Because you mistook my brother for an Order Enforcer?”

”Yes. I... fled to here.”

The monster began to explain its current situation.

”I took that Pterosaur coming from afar as a pursuit party, so I directly knocked it down. The reason I used a relatively weak weapon is because I wanted to use that Pterosaur as a bargaining chip, although I didn’t need it, you might, so I just knocked the Pterosaur down without hurting it badly or killing it.”

The angle at which the monster’s mouth split changed several times, seemingly in a bitter smile: ”Just didn’t expect, the person on the Pterosaur was you, that was indeed my mistake.”

Is that so...

Although it does make sense, Xu Xin still felt skeptical.

”I intended to kill the ’Order Enforcer’ riding the Pterosaur after it landed, but when you landed, I didn’t take action. If I truly wanted to kill you, when you were gravely injured from the fall, I should have acted.”

The monster explained, its attitude very sincere: ”That matter was just a misunderstanding.”

This explanation is somewhat convincing.

Indeed, at that time he was already deeply injured. Although Huihui’s landing was in Crystal City, the monster before him didn’t have any giant beast lineage, not affected by Crystal City.

Moreover, it can teleport, killing him would be effortless.

”Alright, I believe you.” Xu Xin finally believed what it said.

”So, it indeed wasn’t the middle-aged man in my treehouse.” Shi Wanyun softly murmured.

”So, why did you want to attack those Order Enforcers?” Xu Ying asked the doubt in her heart, ”Are you being chased because the experiment you mentioned was discovered?”

Human-alien hybrid experiment.

Xu Xin and Xu Ying saw that experiment in Shi Wanyun’s memories.

Discovered...?

”Wasn’t that your World Tree? How could it be discovered?” Xu Ying asked.

”What you are referring to, are those capsules at number 5. Those capsules are individuals about to complete hatching, responsible for final genetic tuning. The real experimental site isn’t there, but within the World Tree, even so, still...”

...

Its experiment not only required Earth human genes but also genes from those alien invaders.
