Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1223 - 638: The Life of a Hybrid Monster (Part 3)

Its mother turned out to be such a creature.

It even had such genes!

Under extreme chaos, its chaotic brain began to completely split apart, forming countless individual personalities.

This is the aftermath of alien genes; every individual alien is similar to a cluster of countless consciousnesses, expressed as personality splits in this hybrid.

Among them, two personalities stand out the most.

The first personality wants to understand humans, to know what kind of creature the other half of its bloodline is.

The second personality is extremely disgusted with humans and wants to kill all humans!

Because it has a brain similar to humans, the first personality is relatively stable, while the second violent personality is extremely unstable and could emerge at any time.

The other personalities are harmless and without any negative impact.

In this way, when the first personality is relatively stable, it began to communicate with humans.

Its first personality supports humans, but with selfish motives.

The alien collective did not accept it, perhaps humans could. If humans also don’t accept it... then let the two groups clash.

No one should have it easy, especially the alien creatures who allowed such a being to be born into this world.

This idea helped humans, who were then severely behind in power and technology compared to the alien invaders.

...

”You should know the things that followed. My split personalities made everything a mess.”

”And in the last decade of that time-space, my brain was completely chaotic, even the first personality couldn’t remain stable, almost always wandering in the wilderness without memory or consciousness. Fortunately, I have the bloodline of alien invaders, the mutant creatures see me as their master, won’t harm me, and even protect me, so I have been fine.”

”This situation lasted until... the world started experiencing temporal instability.”

Temporal instability.

That time-space began to collapse due to a time paradox.

”Perhaps it was the temporal instability that affected my brain, briefly waking me up. I returned to their dwelling place and discovered they knew nothing about the situation, and I thought of you. Perhaps you did something with the technology I provided.”

”As for what happened thereafter, I’ve also mentioned it. I traveled to... the future.”

The creature finished recounting its story about itself in its own time-space.

Its mouth closed, the mouth that almost split to the back of its head slowly closed back to a position and size similar to humans.

”So that’s how it is...”

Xu Ying felt that everything in that time-space connected.

Xu Xin hesitated while looking at the creature’s head and said, ”Is your brain very fragile now?”

”I have protection.”

The creature touched its head, ”Inside my head, a metal similar to human skull shape, what you call meteor iron, the highest grade, has been implanted. Now I am not so fragile anymore.”

”You had it implanted a long time ago, didn’t you?” Xu Ying glanced at its head, ”At that time when you went crazy at our base, we shot at your head many times, and it was completely useless. You were also wearing a protective suit, wielding high-tech weapons... we simply were not a match.”

”...Yes, indeed. Just after the plan to birth me was forbidden by the mother planet, they implanted this into me. They no longer wanted to take great pains protecting me, nor see such an ugly me, so they did this. Fortunately, nothing went wrong.”

”Alien technology, truly high-tech.” Xu Ying chuckled self-deprecatingly.

”I actually want to know more about how I was sent to the future.” Shi Wanyun spoke up.

She looked at the creature and asked, ”So, can you start telling us what you did after arriving at this time-space, that is... fifty years ago?”

”Hmm, I’m very curious too.” Xu Xin added, ”Why did you want to kill me? You wouldn’t still want to kill me now, would you?”

”No, I don’t. As I said, I am here to seek refuge with you. What I’m about to say next is the main point of why I have come to you.”

The creature opened four or five eyes on its face, looking at the three people before it.

”What I’m going to say next is extremely important. Heh... fortunately, I’m already proficient in human language.”

The three people stared at the creature, their hearts growing somewhat tense.

The creature’s mouth split to the back of its head again, revealing terrifyingly chaotic rows of sharp teeth: ”I have come to seek refuge with you to tell you their greatest weakness, perhaps... you can completely drive them off this planet.”

”The greatest weakness...” Xu Ying straightened her body, her expression serious, ”Isn’t it water? You are very afraid of water, right?”

”Of course not.” The creature slowly shook its head, ”They are afraid of water, but not as much as you think. But it is related to water.”

”Oh?”

The creature organized its thoughts and said, ”For Earth humans, water is an indispensable Source of Life. But for them, it’s not. They have their own ’Source of Life.’

”But this substance, which is a Source of Life for them, does not exist on Earth.”

”This is their weakness.”
