Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1122 - 604: Let the Spread Begin! (Part 3)

”Hmm...” Xu Ying rubbed her smooth chin. ”Sis, use your ability to explore the area first, see how rich the resources are.”

”Resources?” Li Wenxi responded, instantly activating her exploratory power.

Then, her eyes bulged suddenly, she clapped her hands over her mouth and gasped, ”So many! So many! There’s just too much!”

”A lot, indeed a lot!” Xu Ying’s smile widened uncontrollably. ”I knew it, the resources here are absolutely abundant.”

”Is it easy to extract?” Xu Xin raised an eyebrow and asked quickly.

”Yeah, it looks easy to mine!”

Li Wenxi looked around and then at the ground beneath her, her almond eyes wide with doubt and uncertainty. ”Could it be my power is malfunctioning? What’s going on... It’s everywhere...”

Everywhere...?

”Are there metal ores under us too?” Xu Xin followed her gaze to the ground.

”Yes, at least that’s what my ability is telling me, and... it’s very shallow, only need to dig about two meters down and...!”

Li Wenxi licked her lips, her eyes shining, and took out a shovel and pickaxe from her backpack.

”Hey, hey, wait, sis, don’t dig yet, let’s sort out the situation here first.” Xu Ying quickly stopped her, ”The resources are here and won’t run away. But right now, this place is crawling with giant insects and beasts.”

”Oh, right.” Li Wenxi quickly put away the tools, looking at the giant caterpillar, three to four meters long, crawling nearby, and timidly moved closer to Xu Xin.

Regardless of its strength, this insect is just gross to look at!

”Don’t worry. These insects generally don’t attack humans.” Xu Xin reassured, then turned to Xu Ying, ”So, what should we two world tree owners do now?”

”Look up, at the top.” Xu Ying pointed upwards.

The top?

Xu Xin looked up.

The three-thousand-meter-high dome of the underground world was already covered with the roots of the world tree.

At a glance, the roots seemed to envelop the entire underground world!

And at that sight, Xu Xin felt a stirring within.

”I can... control them?” he exclaimed in surprise.

”That’s right, just like you control the tree house tendrils. Heh, watch me!”

Before Xu Ying finished speaking, the roots covering the dome... started to wriggle!

”Eek...!” Li Wenxi shrank her neck, ”It’s kind of scary...”

Indeed, it was somewhat scary.

It was as if there was a swarm of wriggling worms hanging from the dome, and still a swarm of worms several meters thick...

And at that moment, a root emerged from the tangled mass that covered the dome, swiftly extending downward, stabbing straight down!

Its speed was incredible, clearly surpassing the speed of sound!

The thick root plunged sharply downwards, and within just a few seconds, it pierced the ground, becoming a three-thousand-meter-long root connecting the entire underground world from the ground to the dome!

”Boom!” The sound of the root entering the ground came late, causing the whole ground to tremble, even making the three of them slightly unsteady.

The surrounding giant beasts and insects, one by one, were all stunned by the sudden piercing of the ground.

”Try it too, brother.” Xu Ying continued to look up, nudging Xu Xin with her hand.

”Alright.” Xu Xin gazed upward, his eyes narrowing slightly.

Just like controlling the tree house tendrils, once he concentrated, he felt as if the roots of the world tree were like his limbs, easily manipulatable!

Another root descended from above, striking heavily into the ground!

As the ground trembled, the surrounding giant beasts even began to show signs of unrest and panic!

”Let’s keep going!”

Subsequently, under the siblings’ control, thick roots kept descending from the sky, connecting the underground world’s dome and ground.

Soon, in front of them, ten roots connected the dome to the ground throughout the area.

”Okay, that’s enough!” Xu Ying tugged at Xu Xin’s clothes.

Xu Xin exhaled deeply.

So satisfying!

Controlling such thick roots like an arm was truly exhilarating!

He felt like, if he wanted, those roots could twist a turn and strike the surrounding giant beasts, even the vine bundles!

”Did you two cause all this?” Li Wenxi was already somewhat dumbfounded.

”It’s very satisfying.” Xu Xin turned his head to look at her with a smile.

”Isn’t it just!” Li Wenxi watched the roots pierce the ground as if penetrating tofu, swallowing hard, ”No wonder Yingying said you two were unbeatable, these giant beasts can’t withstand it either...”

”Alright, now there are ten roots, that should be enough.” Xu Ying nodded in satisfaction, ”Next, let the world tree’s roots start spreading in this underground world!”

”Though it can’t spread as widely as on the surface, covering the affected area with roots won’t be a problem!”
