Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1115 - 602: Reunion After Half a Month_2

The Zhao Xiaochuan from before was also a core member of that initial team, and Xu Ying has known him for hundreds of years. She must be very familiar with him.

Such a familiar person, in front of her, even shaking hands with her a bit respectfully, must feel quite strange.

”Hehe, how’s it going since I got back? How have you all been without me these days?” Li Wenxi laughed.

”Aiya, don’t even mention it!” Zhao Xiaochuan slapped his thigh, ”We’ve been so tight on resources we could cry! We barely managed to get through the defense battle, and then for the past ten days, we’ve been stuck due to resource issues...”

As he spoke, Zhao Xiaochuan pointed to the town behind him, ”If we had enough resources, this place wouldn’t look like this now.”

”The way it looks now...” Xu Xin said speechlessly, ”It’s already beyond my imagination. You’ve even started raising cattle and sheep.”

”Haha!” At this moment, Wang Lei had already come over, ”When we came in, didn’t we bring a few of those mutated creatures from outside with us? These are all their offspring, and they’re all low-level mutated creatures. Only their skin is contaminated, their meat is not, so it’s completely edible and tastes delicious!”

That low-level mutated creatures can be eaten was something they already knew.

Xu Xin’s treehouse cold storage still had some meat from low-level mutated creatures preserved.

”It looks like you’re having quite a nice little life here.” Xu Xin laughed.

Wang Lei smiled sheepishly, ”To tell the truth, I just thought, Brother Xin, if you’d come a bit later, it would’ve been fine, let us enjoy a few more days. But with you here, we might not be as comfortable anymore. Though, having Sister Wenxi back is truly wonderful!”

It seems they were really worrying about resources those past ten days.

Given Li Wenxi’s findings, there are no resources here, and they can’t go out to excavate resources. Indeed, wanting to develop is like wanting to cook a meal without rice.

”Alright, alright, let’s not chat here any longer, let’s go inside first. Ji Chaoyang just asked me to go to the treehouse at the center,” Xu Xin said to Zhao Xiaochuan.

”Ah, that’s my treehouse, let’s hurry over, they should all be there already.”

When moving to the World Tree, Xu Xin, Ji Chaoyang, Wang Lei, and Wen Guixin’s treehouses were left outside, as only their treehouses had plant hearts to protect the World Tree automatically.

Even though the World Tree is mature now, it still needs protection.

And the rest of the explorers’ treehouses were mostly moved inside, after all, treehouse manufacturing capabilities were still needed.

Other survivors’ treehouses were also half moved in, with the rest temporarily left outside to serve as automatic turrets guarding the World Tree.

Passing through the wheat fields and pastures, every few dozen meters you could see a treehouse. As Xu Xin and the others passed by, the survivors inside would poke their heads out to greet and thank them.

”Hello, big shots!”

”Hello, Brother Xin!”

”Thanks to Brother Xin for guarding the World Tree for us outside!”

”This place is simply a life I could never imagine before!”

”Guarding the World Tree...” Xu Xin glanced at Wang Lei, ”Have you... explained to them about the World Tree?”

”Not yet.” Zhao Xiaochuan whispered, ”Each of them still doesn’t know the time flow outside is slower. Mainly because you weren’t back, we don’t know much either, so we can’t make any conclusions.”

”I don’t know either. But...”

Xu Xin turned his head to look behind him.

Behind him, Xu Ying occasionally looked up at the sky, sometimes crouched down to feel the soil, and occasionally whispered a few words to Li Wenxi.

”Ah, on this point, I’ll let you know once we get there.” Xu Ying said with an irrepressible smile, ”Aiya, this place is truly wonderful!”

At this moment, a little girl came running over.

It was Zeng Tao.

”Xu Xin! You’re finally back!” Tears were almost in Zeng Tao’s eyes as she ran to Xu Xin’s side, ”Half a month! Do you know how I spent this half month? Wuwuwu... I was constantly forced to study, I’m going crazy!”

”Oh? That’s not bad, how are the results?”

”Not bad... Since there are no higher-level resources, we can only try to make do... Ah, Wenxi, you’re back!”

Zeng Tao ran over to greet Li Wenxi, then curiously asked, ”Where are Lou Fei’Er and the three of them? Didn’t they come with you?”

”Hmm, the three of them are still in Zone 1 and haven’t returned.”

When he was outside, Xu Xin already noticed this point.

Those three hadn’t returned in over three hours. He’s not sure what happened, which made him somewhat worried.

However, he decided to enter this world first and let Xu Ying clarify the situation of this world, granting the permission to enter and exit the World Tree to other explorers.

Get these things sorted out first.

After all, the time flow within the World Tree is very rapid. Even if he stays inside for a few hours, only a few minutes will have passed outside, so it won’t take much time.

”They’re still in Zone 1?! Why have they been there so... Oh right, it’s only been a few hours outside; I almost forgot. Then it’s okay.” Zeng Tao immediately wasn’t as worried anymore.

The group quickly arrived at the treehouse in the center of the area.

The explorers had already gathered.
