Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1106 - 599: Space-Time Is Not Only Space, But Also Time (2)

Ji Chaoyang’s thoughts are exactly what Xu Xin is thinking now.

Ji Chaoyang’s doubts are also Xu Xin’s doubts now.

Moreover, he has another doubt.

They had been to the underground world, even if the time spent descending and ascending through the vine spheres in the underground world is not counted, they’ve spent at least seven or eight minutes there.

However, in reality, only two or three minutes passed outside the World Tree.

Could it be... that the flow of time in the underground world is also affected?

”Huh? Different time speeds?” Wang Lei suddenly opened his mouth widely again, ”Really?”

”Huh? Different time speeds?” Zeng Tao also opened her mouth wide.

”Are you sure we were inside for only three minutes?” Xu Xin asked again.

”Sure.” Wen Guixin, who already understood something, nodded.

Lou Fei’Er suddenly leaned next to Wang Lei, glanced at his watch, then at her own, raised her eyebrow and said, ”There’s nearly a fifty-minute time difference... Ah, my watch time auto-corrected!”

Xu Xin also raised his hand to check his watch, just in time to see the change in time at the moment it corrected itself.

It seems that the different flow of time is confirmed.

Different flow of time naturally means the watches run differently, but because the watches are connected to their treehouse, they automatically corrected; after all, the treehouse hasn’t experienced this time flow difference.

Unexpected, yet understandable.

The World Tree was affected by space-time powers, expanding its internal area and height by hundreds of times.

The space-time power affected not just space, but also time.

Under this influence, different time flows appeared, which is completely reasonable.

Meanwhile, the other explorers had arrived.

”What’s wrong with you all?” Zhao Xiaochuan and Qi Xuefei, who just arrived, felt a bit strange seeing the solemn faces of those present.

”Tell us about your situation.” Ji Chaoyang looked at Xu Xin.

Xu Xin slowly nodded, pondered his words, and began, ”...We’ve conducted a preliminary exploration of the World Tree.”

He recounted the discoveries of their trip to the three present.

The World Tree’s internal area expanded a hundredfold due to space-time influence, top layer space, ground root space, lower layer wrapped by underground roots, and the underground world.

He narrated it all one by one.

”This is everything we’ve experienced.” Xu Xin said.

”Affected by space-time, causing space to expand a hundredfold, time flow speed to accelerate...” Everyone’s faces were grave.

Although Xu Xin’s account of the inside of the World Tree was fascinating, the different time flow was truly unsettling.

If only the internal time flow was slower, it might be a good thing, as they could use it to develop quickly.

But it’s obviously not that simple.

Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang, one inside, one outside, communicated through voice!

”Surely the time flow didn’t normalize during your calls, then slow down again after hanging up?” Wen Guixin remarked, troubled, ”What kind of situation is this?”

”...Maybe, it really is like that.” Ji Chaoyang suddenly spoke.

”Huh?” Everyone looked at him.

Ji Chaoyang looked at Xu Xin and met his gaze, ”You are the owner of this treehouse, right?”

Xu Xin seemed to understand Ji Chaoyang’s implication, his frown gradually relaxed, ”You mean...”

”It’s possible that the time flow within the treehouse is controllable. And as the treehouse owner, you might be able to achieve this.” Ji Chaoyang speculated, ”Because we must talk when the inside and outside time flow rates are the same, subconsciously during our calls, you let the World Tree’s time flow differ inside and outside.”

”...It’s possible, but isn’t this... a bit absurd.” Although Xu Xin had considered this, it seemed too...

”Whoa, controlling time flow? That’s too far-fetched!” Wang Lei exclaimed in shock, ”If it’s indeed possible...”

”We’ll experiment once more to confirm.” Ji Chaoyang said to Xu Xin, ”This time, I’ll enter with you, the others wait outside.”

No one objected.

After all, stepping into an area with such strange time flow, not everyone dared.

What if they suddenly aged instantly, or at a glance, millennia passed, then it would be disastrous.

”We enter for half a minute... no, twenty seconds, then call me.” Xu Xin pointed at his watch.

”Call me too.” Ji Chaoyang said.

”Alright.”

”Understood!”

”Don’t worry, just go!”

Xu Xin handed the still dazed Keke over to Lou Fei’Er, then he and Ji Chaoyang burrowed into the roots.

”This is... the roots expanded a hundredfold in area?” Ji Chaoyang understood the situation with just a glance.

”Yes, over there is the lift you can ascend.”

”There’s even a lift?” Ji Chaoyang showed a slight interest.

The two walked into the vine sphere, beginning their ascent.

”How is it, any subjective feelings?” Ji Chaoyang asked Xu Xin.

Xu Xin slowly shook his head, ”No. But, it’s already been twenty seconds, hasn’t it?”

”It’s been way past.” Ji Chaoyang raised his hand and glanced at the time, ”The watch runs normally. It’s already been two minutes; it seems the roots are also affected by the time flow.”
